Family Links - Cottingham

Family Links promotes loving, kind relationships within families, schools, communities and prisons. We train parenting practitioners to deliver our Nurturing Programme in statutory and voluntary organisations across the UK. We also train school staff to promote a positive ethos in their schools.

Four Acres Children's Centre - Bristol

This centre offers a wide range of family support groups for parents and children in the area. The groups are a good chance to meet other parents and in the area with similar age children. Also offered are a teenage parents group, support for women in situations of domestic abuse and pregnancy and breast feeding support. There are two ‘play and stay’ sessions per week and a Baby group. All the groups are free of charge and are run by our Early Years staff .

The Women's Library - Tower Hamlets (East London)

9 Lives Furniture - Rickmansworth

9 Lives Furniture provides good quality, low-cost second hand furniture to people living in Watford, Rickmansworth and the surrounding areas. Local people generously donate their unwanted furniture and other household items, the items are then supplied to people who wish to participate in this scheme. There is a two-tier pricing system that enables people on low incomes to benefit even more. Provides training in Warehouse and Retailing and Furniture Restoration as well as work experience for long-term unemployed, people recovering from mental ill health and people with learning disabilities.

Community Furniture Service - Sunderland, North East

The Furniture Service was set up to help people on benefits or low incomes in need of good quality, low cost furniture. The items of furniture are donated by members of the community to re-distribute.

Hillcroft National Residential College for Women - Surrey

Enables adult women (aged 19yrs+) disadvantaged by educational or social factors to progress into higher education, vocational training and employment. Full or part time basis, and the curriculum delivers a wide range of academic, professional and person £12 admission fee. Grants are available to cover tuition and accommodation costs for the majority of students. Otherwise, tuition fees are reasonable, e.g. £25 - £710. Concessionary rates apply to all students with a family income of £20,000 or less. The college has a registered child care centre on site which is available for a limited number of children aged 2 – 15.

Malvern Special Families - Malvern

Malvern Special Families are excellent providers of safe, stimulating and fun social opportunities in Malvern and Worcester for children and young people with disabilities aged 5 - 19 years. This includes Saturday Clubs, Holiday Clubs, Evening Youth Clubs and an After School Club.

Hansel and Gretel Support Group - Kidderminster

Hansel and Gretel Support Group are a registered charity providing mutual support and friendship to disabled and special needs children and their families in the Wyre Forest area of Worcestershire (Kidderminster, Bewdley, Stourport etc). We provide the opportunity for families to meet together and share ideas and experiences, build friendships and overcome isolation.

The Churn Project - Cirencester

The Churn Project is a community-based service for Watermoor, Beeches and Cheston in Cirencester. They provide a range of services for the unemployed, older people, children and families, and encourage community participation. The project runs small group courses at an entry level, providing basic confidence-building, communication and basic skills training. The courses for women are craft based.

Herts Mind Network - Hertfordshire

The Herts Mind Network is a mental health organisation providing a diverse range of Recovery orientated services in Dacorum, South West Herts, East Hertsmere and South East Herts. To access services you can self refer, be referred by your key worker from the mental health team, your GP or other health professional. Parenting support for Muslim Communities - Berkshire and Buckinghamshire

These services are for families and young people living in the Slough and Maidenhead areas of Berkshire and around High Wycombe in Buckinghamshire. Services are aimed at Muslim families who often feel unable to take up help in mainstream services. By providing workers and volunteers from Muslim communities we can build up trust and confidence. We offer group work for children and young people. Referrals are accepted from helping agencies, or to discuss ways in which we could offer to support them in their work with families.
