Hi elle, glad the tooth has settled. You haven't mentioned a dentist, tut tut. Does that mean you chickened out (don't blame you, hehe) Good luck with the course.

Hi lrh, good for you, turning mobile off. I used to do this with an ex, and kept checking it every few hours. Glad you had a lovely lunch. Hope you get a relaxing afternoon and evening before the routine begins.

Yes, buffet then cake.  We've been to Iceland...  His friend's here too.  Took him to Pringles (scottish shop based in Llanfairpwll...) so he's bought a couple of models too.

Nothing from his dad...

Must ice the cake.

You're doing well hazeleyes Smile

Hope everyone gets on ok.

Never mind doing well Sparkling, I'm ruddy exhausted today lol. Not sure why though really as haven't gotten my butt off settee much today. Everything is an effort, and looking around at things that need to be done, but won't be. Not going to stress over it though, life is too short I've decided.

Glad C got himself some models. That'll keep him occupied for a while. Hardly surprising about nothing from his dad eh. Was it the younger J's birthday last, or the eldest? Did he not get something, or am I thinking of gifts for all of them at Christmas? Get so confused with your lots birthdays as they're all really together.

elle, oh well done on the dentist thing. Takes guts girl, i'm behind you all the way!!! C and I are great thankyou. Is it R's first day back at school tomorrow?

Off to have a bath and hairwash in while, if I can move my butt of course

Older J's birthday last month Smile

Yes they did get gifts this Christmas.  BUT this lot had forgotten that he didn't get them a thing the previous Christmas - which shows how short their memories are Cool

Life is too short to worry - and enjoy sitting down...

Youngest's birthday next month with daughter's three days after his...  It was planned so I could recycle all the baby clothes Cool  Youngest wore fourth hand things for yonks!  Still does with some

I was lucky that one of the ladies I cleaned for had a boy who was a year older than my eldest and used to give him all his old clothes, and she always used to buy nice quality things so they lasted for youngest too Smile

Glad your tooth is better elle81, hope all goes well this week.

LRH well done to you!

Hope the cake is nice, sparkling

Hazeleyes, good for you with the meal prep. Huh after my explaination of what was for tea here I found out I didnt have any sauce so I have made an "alternative" one with tomatoes, herbs and garlic. "Cooking doesn't get any tougher than this!" hahaha

Yes, I got two free tickets for the cinema, and for the posh seats too Cool I am a big voucher fan like you, LRH

Did you have a nice evening sparkling?

Sauce: both agreed it was much better than the mushroom soup one! One fried onion, one tin chopped tomatoes, threw in garlic, dried mixed herbs and black pepper, let it simmer for a while to thicken, and then add the cooked meat. I suppose it was a bit like a pasta sauce with more meat in,

I have come home from school. Wasn't feeling too good this morning, dicky tummy, and to top it all off, I was called into Head's office again because for the second time, that ruddy woman, bully's mum has writtten in. She is a true headcase. This time the Head said he is telling me everything so as to protect me! I didn't remember any incident, but I said I was going home, and took C with me. On the way home, I asked him if he remembered anything, and he did. I'd completely forgotten, as it is was something so silly, but I've been accused of calling this boy an idiot. I asked C exactly what I said, and it was 'ignore it, they are being silly'. Tried phoning to speak to Head, but he was unavailable, so I've texted the head of SENCO, who was also in the room this morning. Told her exactly what C has said. Not sure if I should have said anything at all, but I honestly didn't remember, and I don't want them thinking I'm a liar. This woman wants me out of the school, and like I told them this morning, she will not stop. I don't know what to do.

Oh what a trial this woman is proving to be, Hazeleyes,. The main thing now is to stay calm and not to lose your temper in front of anyone as this will only add fuel to the fire. Sorry to hear you have a poorly tummy, all this stress will not help. The one positive light is that if this woman is waging a campaign against you then it means that even though you were convinced that the complaints you made about her boy were water off a duck's back, they clearly had an effect (heh heh) I think it was a good idea to send the text but back off now and concentrate on getting better Kiss

Hello elle, I hope your outing was successful, did you take your book? it is a real confidence boost if you can manage to do these things Wink

Hi trying hard, routine back in your house, I see. Good luck for tomorrow and don't forget to let us know how it goes.

Sparkling, hope you got everyone chased out of the house in time!

I could use a bouncer right now Louise hehe.

Not had any response from the text, so not sure how to take that. I did say I was home, and she could ring if she wanted too, but nothing. I am upset by this woman, but certainly wouldn't let her know this. Her son was in the wrong from day one of year 1, so maybe this is her payback time for me. I had every reason though to complain. I won't and cannot anyway, give my notice. Wouldn't get JSA for one! Feel sick just thinking what is next up the evil bats sleeves.

I hope everyone else is having a better start to the week than me. xx

What a bat that woman is!!  YOU KNOW you've not done anything wrong, so does the Head.  Ignore is the best bet with her - and perhaps tell the Head that you will be ignoring so as to not give her anything to manipulate...

OMG.  Daughter has been having a deep and meaningful discussion about religion with me.  Religion - extreme and frightening - was the final straw when it came to leaving The Git, as it was affecting the children.

I have to answer to very, very carefully.  Questioning her father's belief, and trying to reason things out with her...  It's not like I haven't sort of had these conversations in my head, as there had to come a point of asking.   Terrified she's turning into me.

Son thrilled that his appliciation for UCAS is in, and I've paid for it.  I do hope that he achieves this.  Can only guess how things work wise will be at the end of that.  The rest already worrying about him leaving!  Me telling the sixteen year old that no, he can't change the bedroom around as eldest will be coming home in hols Surprised  Talk about disappointed Laughing  His friend called in before going back to Uni (he's in his second year - oldest re-did exams so is behing time-line wise).  They've been friends since nursery, and I classed him as my fifth child as he came every where with us (including breaks) when he was little.

I have a headache now!  And just hope that I haven't put my foot into anything with daughter.  I don't think I have.

Cornflakes next.  I'm sure that will help (not had tea yet, as I sat in that ruddy armchair again)

Brilliant news for your eldest Sparkling. I'm sure you explained everything really well with your daughter. Spoil sport not letting 16 year old change bedroom round. At least let him think about it hehe.

Hopeful, could use the backup Cool

A rotten day again. Well, the morning with the kids was good, enjoyed that. Didn't see the Head or anything, perhaps another good thing, don't know yet. Walking home, I received a text, answering my one yesterday at 12pm. Just thanking me for letting them know. Then a friend pulled up, she is on Board of Govs. This woman has spoken to them too, before Christmas, but they know she is stirring trouble for me because of history with kids. The Head told friend some nice things about me (good part). Went to collect C, walking outside the gates and my friend who lives on corner, I didn't actually see her even pass me, but all I heard was 'thankyou A' in a sarcastic tone. I swung around asking if she was alright, got some reply which I didn't hear. C commented on it, and then said, 'maybe it's because you didn't get L' (her little girl). Well, I didn't receive a text or phone call asking me to do so, the TA normally picks her up, so now I'm a ruddy mind reader????? Why I even let this get to me I don't know. She has done this before, because she can? Why do I let people talk to me like dirt? I wish I could crawl away somewhere right now. A horrid horrid day, and I'm cross and upset. Going to have dinner, do dishes and b..... off to bed. Tomorrow is another day!!!!

Tomorrow is another day.

I think it is such a shock to find that someone is being so hostile towards you when they're the ones in the wrong!

I'm glad the governors are aware that she's stirring.  The Head will too - it sounds like you certainly have his support.

Don't worry about friend who lives on the corner.  You can't mind read, and your crystal ball must be on the blink.  Perhaps that is something that can be sorted out another day?

I don't blame you for being cross or upset.

Thinking of you loads

Morning all

Essays: well done on getting yours done, Hopeful, and what a shame that you felt disappointed in your mark, sparkling.

Religion: I am sure you answered the questions very well, sparkling. If your daughter turns into you then she will be a lovely girl!

Crystal balls: sometimes, Hazleyes, it can feel as if EVERYTHING is against us and you are having one of those phases at the moment......try and hang on to the positives such as the nice things that were said about you and the fact that you know you have not done anything wrong.

Slapping: absolutely forbidden, under any circumstances whatsoever Tongue out

Christmas prezzies: hi Stuart I don't really get many things, I got a candle in a glittery holder,  some luxury toiletries and a chakra chart!

Rubbish Days: we have to expect some low times in January, I guess, and the dark mornings make it hard to get going. One thing I did notice is that is was daylight a lot longer yesterday afternoon so things are improving!

TV stars: we now have our own, and the programme was fab and very highly recommended.

Hope everyone else is fine and dandy on this Friday morning.

For some reason I just couldn't sleep properly last night, so decided to get up at 5.30. Had my two cuppas, so feeling a bit more alert now! Last night I ordered C his next size violin. The teacher has been mentioning it to me since before they finished for Summer break Surprised Instead of the brown one, C has chosen a blue one. Quite trendy I thought. Let's hope he still likes it when it arrives! I've a full day at school, tonight C and I are going to watch a dvd, Mr Popper's Penguins. Have the popcorn still from Christmas, so we'll munch away on those. He's still disappointed that Friday friends are no longer coming, so I'm going to try and do something 'nice' for him on these nights. I've also got some hotdogs, so I'll get some rolls, and that's us sorted hehe.

Hazeleyes good idea to do a Friday treat. It could be your cinema night. When mine were younger I used to let them pull the sofa out from the wall and have it in front of the TV as a cinema seat. You could even let him be the ice cream man (he would have to draw and cut out all the pretend things he is selling and devise a price list etc.....mine would have loved that) Hope your day at school is OK. That woman is unbelieveable!!!!

Hi LRH, that is a massive shock about the hours. Hope that personnel have something else you can do. How many hours are you left with now? Don't forget you can make up your hours with more than one job. At one stage I had a main office job for 10 hours, another office job for 4 hours and a cleaning job for two hours. Once I got a better job, a friend of mine had a job for 15 hours a week so I paid her for an hour a week to do gardening jobs and help with the ironing, which was a great help to me doing a job in another town with two children to look after and made up her 16 hours.

Hope everyone is Ok today? A friend is coming over from York today Smile
