Weather awful here again.  Its pouring.  Raining in my heart too and am off to bed as I can't face things this evening.

I'll be ok tomorrow, I'm sure.  Wish I could find The Git's wedding ring and chain.

If I disappear, I've cut the internet Frown  but then guessing that will need 30 days notice.

Hi trying hard, good luck for your course, I have not done SAGE but I remember going back to college just after I was separated from the boys' dad and that was to teach me how to use a computer and how scared was I? bet you will really enjoy it Smile

Everyone is very January-ish at the moment; hope today is a bit better, it is very windy here still although a brighter sky. Last night I picked up son from college and the car was rocking as if in an earthquake. My poor friend has had no heating since Saturday and the gasman is still waiting for a part to arrive to mend the boiler.

Well done on the cottage pie success, Hazeleyes, it is mince here tonight (bolognese heh heh)

More rain and more wind.  I need to go shopping for some bits, and daughter said she'll come along as she can have a long lunch time (I can't carry shopping down anymore, so I have said yes).  Should have gone and left it in the boot!  It was sunny earlier.

Your poor frind.  That is such a nuisance when parts are slow coming in.  Hope she's not waiting too long as it is chilly now.

I'm sure you'll enjoy college trying hard.  I did try Sage many moons ago, and it and I didn't get on.

It will be lovely having some company too.

Tryinghard, if I can do a 3 year university course after 25 years of not doing anything education wise then you can do a sage college course!

Found out today that I really missed one of my assignments - luckily I have already asked for concessions for that one, so hopefully I have that second chance....

Hi all. Ooooh One Space has changed again!

Mich, I was trying to download Adobe Flash something or other in order to watch Lorraine's show yesterday, but I can't. Cry will try over the weekend as I'll have more time. Well done you anyway.

Sparkling, sorry you're feeling down, I do hope you're okay. I know the money situation is a real worry for you, and I honestly don't know what to suggest. Has CAB made an appointment with you yet?

Louise, mince, mince??? Is your son impressed hehe. Hope you've had a good day.

Hopeful, glad you managed to get a second chance. Good luck.

lrh, how are you today? Is it a good one or not? Really hoping a good one, if not tomorrow is another day Smile

elle, how are you feeling with the tooth? Take care.

Trying hard, not done sage, but good on you for having a go. I'm sure you'll do just fine, and you never know until you try it.

Well, my day has been ok. Am not whooping it up yet with the teacher, but maybe slowly but surely I'm getting there with him. Just taking him as he is. Finished at 12, and did absolutely zilch when I came home. Tut. Tomorrow is a full day, so fingers crossed it is a good one. Don't think Friday friend is coming on a Friday anymore. Her son is starting dance classes. I did ask C if he would like to join, but he's not interested. Still...... Hope you all have a good evening. xx

Hi,

Sorry for silence-good reasons though**

no Hazel, im not at work yet. had to take time off for personal reasons.**( have to be careful on this site as my laptop has been behaving badly since "someone" fixed it for me months ago....it appears to be saving some info and transfering it somewhere else.... not im not sure either. need expert to look at it but cant afford it )

Anyway may have to reduce hours at work. love the job-driving and caring but petrol is over 100 pound month and last month i got 15 (according to bank manager today) back in "benefits". then there is the child care issue.

Poor car- im getting a red warning light (like when your handbrake is left on) when im cornering. cant afford to have it looked at though.scarryyyyyy.

doc asked me how i am but cant tell truth as need life insurance and the bank said if i ive had depression medication then it may go against me. i denied any sad feelings.

well i had better go. hope we all feel better soon. summer wont be too long in coming. Smile

Hehe, Bella, my warning light in the car has been on for ages - I have had it checked and it's only expensive, not vital. The car won't be ruined by it. So if it ain't broke....

Had a rubbish day, but am cheering up now. Actually, some of the day was rubbish and some was fun - like the lecture was fun, but the assignment news were rubbish. Have decided to find the good things instead of concentrating on the bad.

Good night alround! x

Bella, I hope you get your laptop issues sorted. I seem to remember that Which? magazine (or whatever they're called) offered one or two free issues about computers / keeping them safe etc. Maybe it's worth looking into that?

Mich, lhr, Sparkling, Hazeleyes, elle, louise, et al I am sending some of the sunshine we have down here again. Have a brilliant day! :-)

Hi Hopeful, finding the good things is a PLAN! No matter how rubblish things are, there will be at least one positive amongst the dross.

Hi Bella, that sounds worrying that you don't think your computer is secure. As for cutting your hours I think you mentioned you do 20 per week, just to remind you that you need to do a minimum of 16 to get Working Tax Credit, so do bear that in mind.

Hazeleyes, what sort of dance classes is Friday friend's son doing? You will have to find another time to spend together if C doesn't want to go as well. Hope your day goes ok and the teacher continues to be bearable.

Mich I can't wait for the programme!

LRH don't worry about the backward and forward stuff, everyone does that I promise. But as we move backwards, the amount of time taken to get forwards again is less each time.....like my analogy of losing a stone and putting on two pounds again....it is easier to lose those two pounds again than it was to lose the original stone. Take care of yourself.

Sparkling hope the omelettes went down well. My son split some bolognese on his tshirt., I pointed out that we are switching to non-bio washing powder because of my eczema so I would get him a personal supply of Vanish to pre-treat his stuff with. His face was a picture. Mind you, he got his own back later. I was dozing on the settee just before 9, in PJs of course and he asked (begged) for a lift to his friend's house. I looked very glam in PJs and a coat, I can tell you!

Hope everyone will have a good day Laughing

Well the talk with bosses done.

They couldnt believe im working every single weekend. I showed them the rota.

I have said i will keep the number of hours (20) and i can do every single friday as son safely away. They said they cant give me every friday as not fair to others.

I asked if i could please have a weekend off at some point please? They to look into it.

I said- i love my job, even though im better off on the dole (maybe not best thing to say!) and have no intention of leaving as it does my son good to see his mum working, gives me confidence and self esteem etc.

see how it is when i return...not looking forward to it. have had frosty reception from certain folk already and that was when i was obeying orders and didnt complain.

The sun is lovely but car was still iced up in and out this morn!! bbrrr

Ok well that sounds positive Bella, let's hope you can get some more free weekends. With the 20 hours, they have plenty more options of when you can work them! I think you are right to get things moving with solicitors.

Thanks LRH, I didn't know that about the natural sunshine bleach, that will come in handy Wink

Hopeful, Mich was selected by the Lorraine show (on morning ITV) with two others to go to Barbados for a break and to do some work with Paul McKenna (healing her broken heartedness). The initial piece about it was broadcast on Wednesday 4th January, you can see it on ITV Player, it is on the last segment of the show that day, and the main piece is going to be on the Lorraine show on Tuesday 10th Jan and Mich will also be on LIVE!!!! She and her daughter were fab on the show I have seen.

Been to the in-laws for tea.  FiL really, really not good.  MiL looks so tired, and the cut on the leg has now been declared an ulcer, and she's in a lot of pain.  Hugged and kissed them both when we left.  She was telling me that she thought FiL had passed away on Wednesday afternoon as it was so long before he started breathing again...  She knows we're here.  Git not mentioned...

I've had an awful headache.  Called into the office to collect my wages (half already spent Cool ), and stayed a while ripping papers (having a good clear out).  Nice to have a chat and a catch up.  Hope they've not gone too far with getting this unit.  On one hand its brilliant, but so quiet...

Morning all - woke up feeling positive today - went for a coffee with a friend last night (newish friendship) and she knew of split but not reasons - how invigorating to tell all!! including the bit about the possibility of someone else being one of the reasons we split even though ex denies it - she knows the third person so it felt good to tell her - she was on my side although she realises there are two sides to every story but she made me feel good by telling me i am worth so much more

so off to stay with a friend tonight with my girls - all good today - baby steps -living in the moment - worry about tomorrow when it comes

Aw, Sparkling, hope that migraine goes - I hate them (don't get them much now, luckily)

My essay is almost finished. Going to work on a presentation today (about MS).

My household is chaotic as always. Tongue out

This Sunday - didn't want to get up, but was on teas at church - found tons of my friends are in crisis (one very close friend's husband has told her he's going to Egypt for three months, leaving her to run their business and the household with 4 children by herself. What on earth do I say to help her????), one has cancer (op on Friday), another one is finding out about similar problem this week, yet another one is totally stressed with work and a horrid mother - I am really fine compared to all that! I mean what's a bit of assignment stress, huh?

Haven't had sausage casserole in ages, hazeleyes - will have that next week. Eggs and chips tonight!

Lrh - nice to be with friends - am doing that next weekend!

Ooh your boy will be happy, sparkling, hope he is enjoying his day. Dare I ask if there was anything from his dad? The cake will be a nice treat.

We have a chicken and bacon thing for tea. That cooked chicken thigh meat from the freezer with some cooked bacon and put it in a tin of condensed mushroom soup (without diluting it) and we have some carrots and broccoli to be very holy Innocent

Son is at work then to football. I have been busily working today (I do other work as well as One Space) so that I can have some time off tomorrow to go to the cinema, do you remember I got those free tickets when I did a Victor about the concert? Well hoping to use them to see The Iron Lady tomorrow.

I am still doing my counselling on Tuesdays but have asked to stop doing the evening slot, it was too late to be getting home at 8pm for tea, and disruptive for son too (AND it is voluntary work) so I will start earlier in the afternoon and be home for 6.30, much better, especially these dark nights.

Hope you are OK Hazeleyes. Yes there is a big week ahead so do what you can to make life easier.

I have made a shepherds pie too, which will be dinner for tomorrow, after a day at work, so am thinking ahead Louise of making things easier for me at home. I hope you enjoy the cinema tomorrow. Are you going on own or with the friend from before? I imagine she also got free tickets?
