yeh least at the moment he's not takin after me!!! the amount of photos my mum had and said she just wont buy cuz i'v had some sort of injoury before i'v had them taken! lmao!!! my best trick was to fall over and face plant the curb!!!!! so he's not takin after me just yet! lol

I don't know if he was a teenager he'd prob be proud of his eye! (not at how it happend he'd prob make up something for that part! lol) but he sure would be proud of it! lol but he's really fed up with it! he said it hurt him earlier on today so i gave him some calpol for it but from the black eye's i'v seen in my life it's not really that bad and the actuall eye ball isn't blood shot so i know it's just the bruise on the lid! so it's just prob healing pains! lol

well today i packed him off with 2 sandwhiches (2 slices bread folded in 1/2) a small cup cake kitkat me mum's special yog and a banana and all he ate was 1/2 a sandwhich cup cake yog and kitkat Frown and he complained about tummy ache and he couldnt walk home! "i wonder why maty!" i just couldnt beleive it! so tomorrow it's no special yog! and he'll have what he didnt eat today (other than the sandwhiches! lol there in the bin!) but he can have his banana and the dip that i put in tomorrow and no cake or yog cuz i aint havin that! i know they just want to get out and play but he's got to learn that he needs to eat in the day!

My boy ended up not taking anything that couldn't be eaten as he ran around playing football but then was when he was 14. When they are primary school, I thought there was some sort of supervision of lunchtime? At least now you have some work at the school you can either keep an eye yourself or ask a colleague to do so.

Yeh, in away i'm hopin i'm in the dinner hall today! (not that i want to be cuz will mean me takin pain killers when get home due to the noise! lol) but i can at least tell him to sit there and eat it! lol and another parent has asked if i'm in the hall can i get her son to at least put hit yog pot in the bin! lol she's fed up of having it all over his lunch box! lol so we shall see in about half hr when got to be there and see where they want me! lol i did tell that parent that i would if i was in the hall as i dont know till i get there! lol I was talkin to me mate last night and she said that she had probs gettin her son to eat at school and he litually went the whole week refusing to eat at school which in turn made him faint so he found out the hard way that he had to eat his dinners at school but she says that still now all he eats is 2 squares of sandwhiches and a pack of crips and drinks his juice, she says theres no point puttin anything else in there for him cuz he just wont eat it! I remember when i was at school we had to put our hands up when we finsihed our dinners and the ladies would come round and see how much we'd eatten and if we'd not eatten alot we had to explain why and everything, really think they should do this with the youger ones at least! but i remember a  time when i sat there with a pizza that they had cooked for me special as they didnt have a sep. veg menu it was just something that wasnt meat/fish cooked up for me! plus also i was the only veggi in the school, but this pizza i think was cooked in the same oven as the fish was that day as it tasted of fish and i can still to this day remember the taste and smell of it and having to go up to the hatches and say why i didnt eat my dinner! but i really think that should be something that comes back in to school at least for the reception classes if not for the whole school! ... i might surgest it actually! lol

right got to go x catch you laters x

C takes packed lunch, and he is very good. Always eats his sandwiches first before anything else. He takes the sarnies, crisps, cake and sometimes yoghurt. Doesn't always eat the yoghurt or cake mind, but at least he does the sarnies. He then of course takes fruit for break time.

They aren't made to eat anything Louise, not in schools here anyway. Even the school dinners, if the children can't finish it, then they don't have too. I think I prefer it this way, as I would hate C to have to eat something he either didn't want, or didn't like.

I agree they should not have to eat everything, but just for a supervisor to notice if they are not eating hardly anything, and to tell the parent and also to be alert to the child possibly not feeling well

yeh, thats more so what i wanted just an extra eye on things. i did ask one the indoor staff today as i was out side and she said she will if she see's him then came up to me later and said that she didnt even see him at dinner time! lol told her that he's told me he ate pretty much everything! lol but yes he'd eatten 90% of his dinner today which i was really happy bout! :) I'v got to get him a new lunch box and a new school bag now :( lunch box (well more of a bag!) but the zip got cought up with the liner and so when i opened it the zip snapped off one end of the bag so it wont zipp up now! so it's ended up in the bin! and his bag the zip has snapped off it so i'v managed to do a tempary repair on it but he now needs a new one! grr! but they will both have to wait till i'm next in coalville which aint till monday in 2 weeks now! lol unless i can get over to burton (the next big town) at the weekend! lol

well my mate wants to borrow my rabbit for the weekend! hehe! (not that sort!!!!!!!! LMAO (sorry couldnt help my self there!!!)) her rabbit has come in to season and she wants to bread her so i said i'v got 2 hansom chaps that will be a willing primate! :D hehe! so she's goin to borrow one of my mr mans and she's gone for the one that's not had any litters before so will be nice to see what comes from him!!! :) thankfully also she's willing to take all the resposibillity of the babies so i dont end up with thousands of rabbits again! lol x

lol evening! .... been asleep for a long time! (i wish!!!!!! LMAO) been so busy i'v come home and collapsed (on bed asleep!) at the end off the day! i'm forcing my eyes open now but there we go! lol

well mr rabbit has now got a name of sooty and has stayed at my friends house! hehe! i didnt sell him to her as i know she hasnt much money and she had to get some more rabbit food so told her she can keep him! 1 less for my hands at least! lol so put daddy rabbit in the smaller hutch and left me other 2 in the hutch they were in lol so i got 1 hutch thats empty (not to take on more rabbits! lol) but to be broke up and either used as a fire wood for a bonfire or down me step dads yard for what ever he wants to do with it! cant really use it for another rabbit as the sides are comin off! lol

on a step dad note i still dont know what was up with him back then but right now he's back to his normal self :) which is a good thing but i really dont want it to go back to how he was cuz it was just awfull :( so other than livin on a knifes edge as they say were doin all right! :)

Job! goin really well! :) the head teacher asked if there was any thing we as dinner ladies could do to get a group of children of the playground during lunch times (the ones that dont really want to be out there!) and i came up with a few ideas one of which was a photography club which she was really interested in :) so we just got to wait and see! ... anyways she handed my papers over to my son's teacher and she's now read them and was really interested in what i'd came up with and the other day asked if we could have a chat after school! (of which when a teacher says that to you, you kinda get worried! lol) so she had to explain her self a little bit to me! hehe! :D but she was really interested in my work that she was thinkin of ways she could use me in her class :D :O so she said she'll come up with a few things and see if she can get me in class to help out and everything! :D WHOOP WHOOP! :D but i kinda shocked her as i came up with 4 pages of things which she had mentioned to me that she would like some help with and left them with her! hehe! so it's a little bit of a sit and wait game BUT it'll earn me few more hrs at school and another way to prove my self and what i can do! :D

Exactly hatz, and building up the CV all the time. I always think of it as building up a good reputation, showing people what I can do and then in the future, even if you want to work elsewhere, these people at the school can give you a good reference.

Sounds as if you have had some great ideas there!

Glad your stepdad has settled down a bit. Did you get your name on the housing list anyway?

didnt manage to get me name down on the list, went to talk to them and they basicly said nothin availble at the moment in the area i need! (want!) so just got to sit tight at the moment! lol

well today was a tough one at school :( 2 children were fighting so i went up to have a chat to them about it as it should be a red card straight out ... so i went to talk to them. it was a boy and a girl, the girl saw me comin and she decided to walk off so i thought ok i'll talk to her later about it! so i chatted to the lad and said that he knows he's not meant to do it etc it's not right and he said yes he knows and he's sorry so i said thank you for sayin sorry i don't want to see you doin it again and let him get on a play, i went to find the girl that was also involved to basicly tell her the same thing! after about 5mins me and another dinner lady found her and i went to talk to her, she went to do a runner on me but i managed to grab her in my arms (when i say grab i mean catch!) and went to talk to her just to say that it wasnt right but she kicked off and kicked off big time :O i'v never seen a girl act like this, she was hittin and kickin me screaming at me ... right paddy! she calmed down for all of 4 seconds and so i trid to explain but as soon as i started talkin she kicked off again. she managed to hit me in my mouth which my lip did swell up a bit on me! and then she kicked me in me boob with her shoes on (thankfully she did have flat shoes on!) but as she kicked me down my body i ended up takin her shoes off her as she managed to kick me in the stomach and she nearly knocked me over ... now i'm not a light weight at all! and for a yr2 aprox 6yrs to kick me over she's got some fight in her! ... after about 3 mins another dinner lady came up to us to see if she could help out. so i said look we cant do anything with her, shall we just go get her teacher now! which the first dinner lady did, the second dinner lady got hold of her and between us we did try and take her off the play ground but she still kicking out we couldnt move with out hurtin our selfs or any one around us so we decided to leave her on the floor where she put her self. The second dinner lady said for me to leave them too it so i did! (kinda thankfull to get away from it to be honest!) At the end of play i thought i'd better go find her teacher with the first dinner lady just to explain to them about what had happend out side and everything and she was more than happy that we'd dealt with it best we could and did the right thing to find her. I told her that i took her shoes off as she's kicked me all over my body and didnt want to get hurt! and she said thats fine! she's calmed down now and everything and i'll be able to talk to her in a few mins! so that was it! lol we saw the girl she didnt even look guilty about anything and she had a really big smile on her face! :O didnt even have the red face that she'd gone in with! :O so i headed home found my son's ice pack out the freezer and put it on me quiet swollen lip and had a cuppa! (could have done with something stronger i have to say! lol) so i'v just got to wait and see what or if anything happens on monday, i hope nothin else comes from it but i have written out a statement just incase as i know what my mind is like by time monday comes i would have forgotten most of it! so i'v written it down JUST IN CASE!!!

Picked my son up from school today and headed in to town as me parents gone away and they like to take the contece of the fridge with them! grrr!! lol so i always end up buyin things back in! lol any ways got back home and after i sorted out i went thru my son's school bag and book emptyed out all his fireworks pictures (which were brill!) i opened up his book to find he's been given a part in the christmas play :D WHOOP! he's goin to be a star littually! lol he's got a line to say too! hehe! "You have to shine brightly!" i said it to him when we were heading up to bed and he said yes i do mummy! hahahahaha some times i wonder where he gets his sence of homur from!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

she has come round quick again but yes as you say i just want it over with now! and i'm hopin that he shakes this cold off that he seems to have picked up! GRRRR cuz if not ... i'll have to call and cancel abloodygain! which i really dont want to do! it's morning appointment i think (just better check that! LMAO) yeh it's a morning one! got to be at hospital for 7:30 so should get there bout 7 which means leaving her for 6am! as it's 30 all the way there so it really makes it a long journey cuz of the speed! lol but it's goin to be a day case so about 2hrs after the opp we should be out so long as we dont have any complications! and hopefully as were in that early we'll be pretty much straight in :D

i'v had a lovely day today got all the work done in the house that i needed to do (all tho there was no thanks from me parents not even this is lookin good :( but there we go!) it all got done and i even managed to sort the animals out. then we went in to town for the rest of the rememberance day service. popped in to a few shops one to get a card for me friends who's birthday it was last week but i couldnt get out to her so she's ended up havin it late! lol and the other was to get a bit of food for dinner! :) so today at least we'v managed to get in to town and back again even tho both of us have got slight colds and i know i'v got something more to come! i'm really unsure at this moment if he will be able to have the opp :( he's really chesty and has got a snot nose :( but me and me mum said we'll leave it till thrus if he's better by then we shall go in and see what they say on fri but if he's really not any better i'm just goin to give up! lol (nah not really just have to phone thru and say he's ill yet abloodygain!)

school was cool! no one asked anything and i talked to the head teacher who never spoke a word of it so i guess that it's all good! there lookin in to training and what ever else comes up lol so i think were all good!. been on bell duty today and other than one kid not lookin and walkin straight in to the bell! haha (he's ok just a lump on his head! lol) thankfully i wasnt ringing it at the time! i'v got really sore arms from swinging a solid brass bell up and down to call them in for there dinners, i did surgest having a whistle but that wasn't an option as they use whistles for other things but she did say that i could ask a few yr 5/6's to ring the bell which is a good thing! lol we shall see what we do tomorrow but i am goin with me splint on me arm to give me more suport!

Hi hatz. Maybe if son is chesty, perhaps take him to GP in case of infection? If he is on antibiotics, they might still do op anyway.

In son's school, for dinners, they go around holding up big cards, with whose turn it is for dinner and lunches.

yeh i might pop him down and just explane that i want him better for friday! lol see what they say if i can get an appointment! lol

yeh thats what we do at our school with the cards, 2 people are put on card duty every day (not the same 2 people!) so they come runnin out of the dinning hall and i ring the bell! altho i took the head teachers advice and let some of the children ring the bell today altho they didnt have enought strenght in there arms to ring the bell as loud as we need it! so i still ended up doin the bell! lol but there we go! we shall see what happends and if i can find someone that can do it as loud as we need it! lol I was talkin to one of the other dinner ladys who said that when they first did it she got to the end of the week and thought she had flu symptums as her arms were REALLY heavey and she couldnt lift them abouve her head or anything! lol so least i know i'm not the only one! lol i went in with me arm strapped up ready for the shift! lol but it sure has helped me out today :)

i did have a quick chat to the childs teacher and just asked if all is ok with her and everything which she said yes, she was given a red card from her for her behaviour towards us and out on the play ground and so was the lad that was fighting with her so they both ended up with a red card at the end of the day. All her teacher could say to us was if she gets like that again don't hessitate to come and get us straight away! she's her teacher and knows how to deal with her! so if she plays up like that again thats all we can do! talking bout her i'v not seen her this week at all! lol and i'v been the one takin everyone in to the hall for there dinner! lol but the amount of children that have been in the queue's that i'v not seen in the month or so i'v been working there now is unbeleveable! lol but it's a pretty big school with a few hundred people! lol

goin to enjoy a nice relaxing evening now! :) just had some lovely sausage and mash with cheesy leeks that me mummy made for us :) monster is in bed with a sore chin and knee! first thing this morning he decided to slip over on a drain and hit the floor chin and knee first! so he's got a nice graze on his chin and quiet a huge bruise on his knee! lol ... on the plus side his eye is better and he has no marks on it and the bruis has totally gone now! :D red, brown, purpler, black, purple, dark green, light green, red, pink GONE! lol every shade of brusing you can think off!

(if you beleive that you'll beleive anything!) goin to book in with drs tomorrow cuz i cant actually lift anything up thats heavier than a cup tea! and i cant move my whist more than bout 10% down and prob about 20% up so think i'v actually done something to it more than just strain! THANKFULLY! (prob only time i'll say this!) we had indoor play today cuz it was raining so i didnt have to do the bell! :D WHOOP! :D a day off! LMAO!

monster's cold seems to be getting better! just at night when he's coughing away and when he comes in from the out side in to the house so i think he's goin to be fine to go in ... shall see what tomorrow brings us and then the last point just seeing what the hospital say on the day! all we can do really!

My life! lol i looked at the shoes he had at home and i realised that there was one that was his 101/2G and the other which is 10F! not a perfect match there i think! only thing is they havent had PE this week so i don't actually know how long it's been like that for :O :( and here's me wondering why my son was sayin he cant walk home yesterday but i just thought it was cuz he was tired :( poor lad. so he's gone in his trainers today i handed both shoes over to his teacher and said what the prob was and the small shoe isn't his and also on his bad foot (well the one with the toes that are worse on!) and he cant walk in them and everything so she's on a mission today to find the other shoe! lol there are i think 3 children in the class with the same shoe's so thankfully she'll only have to check 3 shoes and i did put his initials in them! :) so at least if 2 people do have the same shoes as well as the same size his dose have CJL in them! :) Prob a good job! lol hope that it's found by time i pick him up!

Poor you, your painful arm must be a real nuisance. Hope the doctor can help.

You solved the mystery about the shoes! it always used to be the way with sweatshirts for my sons. I had a name tape sewn in theirs and used to get very indignant (or should that be shirty!) that the "other" mother had not spotted my boy's name in it when she did the ironing. Came to the conclusion that not everyone ironed sweatshirts and began to wonder about whether they were even being washed...lol. Hope your boy gets his own shoe back!

I've had sweatshirts go missing at school - funny how it was always the new ones!  The teachers would be really apologetic though as they knew I sewed in name labels - and yes, they were taken out.  What does that teach a child?

I can only imagine the sewn in label by the manufacturer that I'd also write their name on was cut out.

I must reveal that I did not tell my son what I had done, just that I had been to Lost Property Embarassed At senior school he lost one again and I said you will have to go without until I can afford it. That was a much better lesson for him than me just rolling up with "it" from Lost Property

yeh thankfully it's just been a shoe swap so far for my lad! but theres always time! all my son's jumpers have been written in and now i'v sewn a yellow spot in to all his school clothes! (well nearly all of them! i'm doin it as i go! lol) so he can see if it's got a yellow spot in it it's his! and for his shoes .... means he's got the same ones! .. the lads mum was very pleased tho cuz i'd polished his shoes up and when she got the right one back of couse it was the one that i'd polished! lol but she did have to find her polish out to match the shoes back together! haha (Oh your not the only one that irons jumpers! lol)

arm, arm, arm! went down to the drs and chatted to her about what have done to it and she had a poke round and showed her how far i could move my hand up and down! lol she turned to me and said well theres not much i can really do! (which yes i understand cuz they dont have xray machines there! lol) but after she had a poke round it and everything she said that if it still hurts by next week to go off to A&E and get it xrayed just to make sure it's not fractured! lol ....... but yes you read that right! wait till next week!!!!!!!!!!!!! lol but there we go! i got to rest it and keep it strapped up! (of which when i got home i went to work on the bell again, then went home and took bandage off and did washin up, then after picked my son up from school made his tea and then got ironing board out and did another load of ironing! Yes it is deifficult to "rest" when you have a little one to see to.

What news re the operation?

Hi hatz. Well, today is the day! Did they go ahead with the op? I really hope your little boy is ok. He might be a bit miserable after the anaestetic too. Hugs for him. Take care of your arm too, though I know how difficult it is to rest.

i given up restin my arm just puttin up with the pain!!!! even taken bandage off! yup i know it's the wrong thing, yup i know it can make it worse but at the end of the day (well begining for me! lol) it's what i needed to do i couldnt cope with it on so it had to come off! lol

OPERATION! :D it all went ahead :D and were now home he's asleep in bed too!

this morning everything was no! no no no no no no no no no! lol temp check NO! thing on your finger ... NO! they didnt bother doin blood presure check after that! lol so we got there at just before 7:30 and checked in :) got to our room then they did all the checks (tried to do!) on the monster and next thing i know it was 10 to 10! time flew past! lol the dr's came down and the consultant came down then the lady came in and said you'll be goin up in about 10 mins :O so at 10am he went in and i took him in to the sleeping room he wasnt having any of it :( they tried the mask on the teddy trick! didnt work so in the end they had to go for the lets just do this way! took the mask off and just held the tube over his mouth as he was screaming away :( not a nice thing for a mum to go thru :( but it was so weird to see him startin to relax then he was off :( :) the lady showed me out and said it'll be about half hr and he'll be comin out! :O so me and me mum went and got some breakfast! went back down to the ward and sat there for bout 20 mins a chap came and chatted to us about what our experainces were like being there (one of them questionair things!) then just as that finished the lady came back and said he's ready to come out! :O was like wow! lol all this before dinner! lol

so we went up to the theater and met him comin out the door on his bed all tucked up said hi to him he looked at us and snuggled back under his blankets as if to say you put me thru all that!!!!!!!! haha!!!!! we all went back down to the ward where he just lay sayin hold my feet mummy! so for about an hr i was sat there holding his feet so think they hurt him a bit as usualy he dont like his feet being touched! after about an hr he was pretty much fully round and nicked my DS of me and played that for ages! lol he was happy with that so i just let him be! best way me thinks! they came in and did all the checks this time! he let them do it all :D he was then aloud a drink and something to eat so he was feelin a lot better after that! :D

at about 2pm they nurse came back down to us and said right! have you had a wee ... yup! tried to walk ... yup! good good i'll go do your paper work and get the other nurse to come down and take the canula out your hand and you can head off :D :O so ten mins later we were there getting the canula our which i'm impressed with him as he watched her takin it out! then when it came out (of course it's in the artuay?? vain! lol) he saw some blood and he said quick it's squerting! hahahah!!!!!!!!!!!!! (it wasnt of course! lol) so we packed up and off we went! :D he tried to walk out the ward but he said it hurt him so i ended up carryin in down to the wheel chair park! lol then had to drop him in that before i needed to head back in to get me back sorted out! lol

so we headed home stoppin in at tesco's cuz we thought he's goin to get ice blocks instead of havin feet so we brought some big socks to put over the top of his feet and bandages! lol and my mum had to buy me some more clothes cuz my darling boy was icky all down me! (anisthetic and food combinde with travling repeated on him!) but after we sorted all that out (thankfully we managed to get him out the car!) he said i'm hungry again now! lol so he ended up eatin a banana and he's been fine since! :) hopeing for a good night but was warned he might have a nightmear so when he wakes up at 12 tonight i'll bring him in to my bed and keep him here so i can keep a better eye on him :) tomorrow we got to go jogger shopping as he's only got one pair and his jeans wont fit over the top of his feet and thats bout it really! lol

monday i'v been booked in to our drs (home town!) to get his bandages changed (which we'v all ready had to try wrap back up!) and then we shall see what she/he puts on instead. but at the moment he wont be goin to school due to the fact it'll be dangerous with other children runnin round and could stand on his toes :( and unhygeenic with toilet use! so he'll be at least having this week off and shall see about the week after! :) He's got disovable stiches in so after 2 weeks he can start having baths and they will just disolve off his skin and then after that he should be fine! :D

So to sum it all up! he went in at 10am out for about 10:45am had dinner bout 12 and we were out by 2 (these are all ish!) he's totally and utterly 100% fine! :D little bit of pain but pain killers takin care of that! booked in for bandage change on monday!

chat to you all soon, All's good here and the monster is doin well! :D

Hello hatz

Great that the operation went ahead and was quite straightforward, stressful for you but glad that it is over. Did you have a peaceful night? Hope that your son will gradually get better and you will have a good week together.

How is your arm this morning?

Hi hatz.

Great to hear that it is all over, well the operation part anyway. Bless him. I hope he is ok today, and not in any pain. Did the hospital give you anything, or will it be calpol should he need it? Hope you both had an undisturbed night.

we ended up back at hospital today :( he woke up this morning and all his bandages had come off :( we tried at our drs surgery first and as it's saturday they only have 1 person in as dr and that other than 2 receptionists is it! so i had a chat to the receptionist and just said what was what and she said yup that's what we do :) wicked so i got monster out me mum's car and she went off to loughbrough to see me step dads mum. we got called round to the room after 5 mins and spoke to the drs and she said ah! i cant do this, i'm not able to ..... so i was there now what do i do the lady on the door said yes you can?, so she phoned up to ashby hospital (old hospital which is more of a old persons ward now rather than an actuall hospital!) but there was no answer so she said the only other thing i can do is call back thru to burton and speak to them on there as to what to do and they said to come back in and get them sorted out! So there was i stuck with a 4 and half yr old no shoes on tryin to sort his feet out to get him fit to travle by bus to burton. (yes she wouldnt even help me to get something sorted for travling i ended just wrappin a little bit of cotton wool round his toe and tellin him he's not to move!)

as it worked out i got £9.99 in my bank and it wouldnt let me take a tenner out :( so i ended up at my dads asking if he could help me out (yet again! he's done it so many times this month so cant wait to get paid!) but he was there for me again! he called us a taxi to take us all the way there and paid for it and then gave me an extra £15 :D so i was able to do a LITTLE bit of shoppin too!

I got to the ward and had a chat to the nurse and she helped us out! :D she showed me how to do the bandages and said that he's at the age where he'll be wrilling out of them or walkin out of them! so you might end up doin it everyday! so 3 times today i'v wrapped them up and the last time i did it must have got it right as it had stayed on his foot! :D and thats even after a walk round the estate! :D

lol i brought him a pair of size adult 6 slip on slippers and have put some elsatic round the back of the toes part! lol and he's able to walk in them! lol so we went on a nice little walk round the estate :)

Hi hatz

That sounds like a nightmare although surely the original hospital people oughjt to have prepared you for the banadage scenario? I rememebr when I had a painful varicose vein removed about ten years ago, no-one explained to me that one of the cuts would be in my groin and therefore ordinary underwear would be impossible for a while. And yet they do these operations every day and you would think practical considerations would be brought into it.

You will just have to adapt whatever you can to keep him comfy for the next few days

yup it is one of those things you thought they really should explaine/tell you/let you know about! lol but there we go! lol i'v managed to perfect my bandage skills! and last nights bandage has stayed on all night AND i'v only just sorted it for him goin to bed! :D so i'm certainly doin something right! lol Got the nurse doin it tomorrow which is a good thing but she's also got to change the dressings around the toes which is fine for 1 of them as it's not stuck! the other is stuck so we shall see what she (he) can do! Thankfully he's got disovable stiches in so we dont have to go thru the proses of getting stiches out!

we went for a little walk today and he made it all the way round the estate :) altho i think he was in a bit of pain afterwards cuz he started playin up when we got home and he was gettin in to trouble and did end up in bed for 5 mins out! lol he came down and bout 10 mins later he asked for some juice so i took him on kitchen and asked what was up he said his usual i dont know and so i had to ask him out right if his feet hurt him which he just said yes! so i just gave him 2 spoons of paracetamol and he calmed down! lol

OMW! (word!) on our way round the estate we saw 3 YES 3 houses with christmas lights on, decorations! the full works :O i'm like it's only NOVEMBER!!!!!!!!!!!!!! haha ah well there mad round here! lol

chat to you all laters x

Glad that the little chap is beginning to improve and has some mobility, see what the nurse says today, she might have some helpful advice.

Christmas lights haha! I went to my friend's house the other day and on the road before hers, I saw a house which was like a grotto. It was not only covered in lights but had a giant Santa in the garden, several pretend giant presents wrapped up and a small sleigh/toboggan.My first thought was "how ridiculous", my second thought was "I expect some of that will get stolen".

Would definately get stolen round our way! I wouldn't even leave a plant pot outside here. House do look lovely with the xmas things, but I do think November or even the beginning of December is a bit too early.

I hope your son is ok today with the bandage that is stuck. I'm sure the nurse will have something to take it off without too many problems. Did the hospital tell you how much walking he should be doing? Poor little fella, I can imagine he was in some pain too. I realise walking on it, the sooner the better, is a good thing, but it must be extremely sore. Awww, my heart goes out to him hatz. How is your arm now?

shocking... totally shocking Yell i really just cant beleive it Yell. Went to get his dressings changed ... YES DRESSINGS! i said that when i phoned in on friday and i said it agian on the saturday when they sent me off to burton AND i said it again when i went in today to the nurse! he needs his dressings changed!

ok as you can see i'm annoyed! i went in as planned to get his dressings changed on his feet and when went in to the nurses room i explaned what was what and showed her my notes from the hospital so she could see exactly what was to be done, she then said ok then jump up on the bed and i'll see what i can do... oh hold on a min i need the paper for the bed ... 5 mins later here it is Surprised yes it took her 5 mins to find the paper, she then spent another 5 mins looking for the bandages, padding and gauze for wrapping his feet and toes. then when she'd undone what i did commenting that it was really good! she said that she didnt really know what she was doin Surprised she's a nurse meant to be trained in these things aint she???? so i just laughed and said well the hospital showed me how to sort the bandages out but for the actuall dressings i don't know and i'v not got the stuff to do it! so she just said i'll see what i can do.

Now the way the nurses did it in the hospital as he has to have some padding between the toes which had the opperation on to help straighten them. the nurse today just took one gauze off and stuck the new one right over the top of ALL his toes Undecided nothing between the toes to pad them out! then just chucked the padding on over the top of his foot and then wrapped it in the bandage which was 100% crap (sorry for swearing!) but it really was, the 5 mins it took me to get from the centre to the bus stop it had all ready come off his toes. So i ended up re-doin them at home! (he was in his buggy in that time too!) thankfully me mum brought some micropore tape home so i was able to tape the bandages up around his ankle! Yell i'm sure she was a nurse, her name badge said Nurse C and she had a nurses uniform on! but any ways, i got home and undid what she had done, then i have had to improvise with a small bandage that i had (the sort you wrap a finger in!) so i'v managed to get the hospital gauze off his toe which wasnt that bad for him wrap the nice clean new bandage gauze type cover round his toe, pad his toes out to try get them to start growing straight and then re-wrap his feet up again! So cant wait till we get the letter in from the hospital to say when our next appointment is!

Any ways on a plus note! my arm's ok! ... yes only ok! lol i'm still gettin twinges in it and i have to consently move it about and move my wrist other wise i get a mega pain down it but there we go! it's ok! lol just clonks and clicks away to it's self! lol

christmas lights ... a chap that use to live round the corner with 2 kids and his wife, brought one of those 8ft high blow up santa's (goin back a few yr now!) and he decided to put it on top of his house! lol now our houses you have the roof (upstairs!) and the windows stick out of the roof and makes a bit of a flat roof bit! (if you follow me!) but he stuck this 8ft santa on top of his house and runs the cable down in to the top bedroom! any ways the councle got word of this and he got a HUGE telling off! lol they got the police involved and everything he got slapped a £800 fine for irisponcebillity (cant spell it! stupidness!) to the property, him self and his family AND the naboughs! ...... as to why he wanted to stick it on top of his house i have no idea! lol but there we go! lol

xxx hope your all, all right! xxx
