should i be worried about my self!

Right! this morning before i got up there was this really loud noise coming thru the house and my mum was pretty much scared stiff cuz she couldnt work out where it was coming from and said that it sounded as tho the house was falling down! .... now i didnt hear a thing Surprised i know i can be in a deep sleep but surely if it was that loud i would have woken up wouldnt i? heres another one! last yr some point next door (not attached but her drive gose down side of our path to house and my window where my bed is, is right next to it!) well her "boy"friend went thru the wall at about 2:30 in the morning and i didnt wake up for that either! it wasnt just him with the car goin thru the wall tho cuz he went thru her wall down the curb on to the road and then up the other side in to the tress layin to rest inches away from my friends house. when i woke up in the morning and looked out side and what i saw i was like what on earth happend last night and me mum and step dad were like didnt you hear a thing? i said nope! apparently not only that he went thru the wall, they had an ambulnace there which came down with sirens on, the tow truck (and you know what noise they make banging about!) few of her family came down to help them clear the road so were chucking the bricks on to the drive way and talkin amungst each other and everything so i would have thought i would have woken up!!

there was one time when i woke up it was 5:30 in the morning and the girl down the road decided to run out her house and down our path and scream at the top of her voice (realiseing that we'd put a fence up so no one can get in our back garden!) but it was cuz her brother had had a go at her and then smashed her computer up (beleve me crazy family!) but i did wake up then! lol so i just dont under stand why on earth i'v not woken up today or on the other time??? sould i go see me dr and talk to him about it or what! lol ok at the moment i do have an ear infection and sometimes cant hear what me mum is sayin to me but i'v still got a good ear! lol and my ears were fine at the car crash one!

we pinned the noise down to something in next door's house and the fact that she had 2 men and a van turn up with a ladder on top! lol do i'm guessing that it was her house and also the fact that our house is still standing and tottaly the way we left it! lol

Hi hatz

Sounds like you are a heavy sleeper!

It is worth monitoring your hearing through your waking hours just to see if you think there is a problem. There is a test you can do online (which is actually quite fun to do!) Click here to have a look at it. if the test comes up that there is a problem, then it is worth going along to see your GP.

If your hearing is Ok then you are just lucky that you sleep deeply. Do you hear your son if he cries in the night? I consider I am a light sleeper but not long ago, a friend came round in the middle of the night as eldest had some keys he needed. Apparently, he had banged on the door and eldest had leaned out of the window, had a conversation with him then gone downstairs and given the bloke the keys and bloke had driven off. I had no idea this had happened......and yet if one of my boys was sick in the night, I would be there with a bowl in an instant.

nope i dont hear my son if he crys! i use to as i remember wakin up for him but now he dont wake up that often i dont hear him, me step dad and me mum both said that they heard him cryin one night and i was like i didnt so i dont know really what happend then!! i think he went back to sleep cuz me parents didnt go in to see to him so i'm guessing he wasnt too bad! lol I dont hear him when he comes in to my room in the mornings i just wake up with him next to me! lol (which i love!) other than the other day when he wet him self in the night .. i did hear him then as i remember him coming in to me bed and i ran me hand over him and was like thats a bear bum and said wheres your shots babe and he said he'd taken them off cuz they were wet! thankfully i had a pair next to me bed so just put them on him! lol

think i will take the hearing test and see what they come up with! lol

(on a plus note i'v been offered the job with in school got induction today whoop and find out if they need me thrus and fri this week! WHOP! :D)

Well that is reassuring. Sounds as if you are a really heavy sleeper. If you are worried about your boy you could always have a baby-monitor thing next to your bed.

Good news about the job! good luck with the induction, let us know how it goes. have you had another operation date through yet?

Ha ha! Thought I'd take that test for a laugh. (I have severe hearing loss). I came back with 'my hearing is below normal' so I guess it does work!

I'm a very deep sleeper (obviously sleep without my hearing aids) and I somehow still manage to hear the kids during the night but nothing else. Mummy instinct I suppose though my daughter does come and get me now.  I never hear anything going on in the street or from my neighbours house even though any visitors I have say they are noisy. Don't know how you hearing people cope. Love being a deep sleeper :-) Ignorance is bliss.

My guess hatz is that the pressure is off you a little as your mum or step-dad would hear your son if he woke so your body is giving you the sleep you obviously need! If you are worried I still use the baby monitor with mine just in case. :-)

Well done about the job!

I had terrible eyesight so went and got the laser treatment. Came out with 20/20 vision. Couldn't cope with being deaf and blind. It was terrible going swimming!! I couldn't see or hear anything! lol

I think one reason I hardly swim now is because of my eyesight.  I used to swim competitively, and I know the times I swam lessened with the deterioration of my eyesight!  Badminton took over then, so I was happy to stop getting wet!

I did start swimming again a couple of years back with my lot, but gave up last year when my leg started locking and I was having terrible panic attacks - I was terrified of having a panic attack in the water!

I am trying to get the courage back up to go again.  They have disabled steps and the life gaurds would keep an extra close watch on me!!  (I used to be a life saver!!).

We shall see.

That laser treatment looks so fabulous, and I have heard about the brilliant results!  Good for you going.  I'm not sure if I would go through with it...

That's interesting to hear about the eye treatment. Both my boys have worn glasses (now contact lenses) since they were really small, I would love them to be able to have that treatment and for them not to have to worry any more. SAdly they inherited their dad's eyesight; I have been really lucky with mine.

The hearing test: my friend did it and I know he is a little hard of hearing and the test said this and I assumed that a pushy sales campaign would follow but he rang them up and they sent some helpful leaflets and there wasn't any hassle.

That's a big shame about the swimming, sparkling lime, especially as you were always so good at it. Would you feel better with someone else with you?

I would feel better, and someone has offered, just it hasn't happened yet...

Also, as I used to swim twice a day, three times a day at the weekends, I think I did enough swimming to last a life time!!  I would much rather play badminton, but have been told that this is out of the question now.

So many things I wanted to do with the children as they got older...  Strange not being able to.

Hi hatz

Glad it went well today.

I am shocked about the cost of your glasses, doyou get vouchers towards the glasses, I am thinking you should as you are on JSA. or could you just get that one lens repaired?

i get vouchers for buyin the glasses! not for anything else. i broke them earlier on in the year and they sorted them out for free so no longer entiltled to another free or cheap repair! lol i could get just the one lense repaired but it wont come with any coatings on it so it was just be a peice of glass in with nothing on it and as i have smudge free, dazzle free, bluh free! anti steam, .... the full works pretty much! lol it'll be odd to have one of them and one with just glass!

need to go to shops tomorrow sonny boy needs some new pj's! poor lad goin sleep in a pair of shorts and a tshirt! lol least he's got his dovet and fleecy blanky over top of him! lol so i'm on the search for some FULL length pj's tomorrow ... might see if i can get me self some too! lol (sittin here FROZEN :( not fair) i would say cup tea time but ran out of milk GRRRRR! and not got any of me fave herbal teas so just goin to have to sit and wait for tomorrow and go in to town straight after i drop him off at school and see the lovely little cafe that i go to! :D

any ways couple more hrs down here then i'll be heading off to the land off nod under me dovet pulled up to over me head! hehe! xxx

Hi Hatz,

Is there an option to pay for your glasses in installments? It must be awful trying to function without them!

We have t-shirt and pants PJ's here too, somehow PJ's are never top of the list when I need to buy things. Also my toddler wets the bed most nights and the washing machine can't keep up, so I often resort to pants and t-shirts.

is a Green Card their reward system at school?

Posted on: October 14, 2010 - 8:38am

DoppleMe

yeh was feelin sad about htings at the start but looking back at it i'm glad he managed it! lol but still pulled the stings! lol The green card is part of a reward system at school it's either green or red! green being good and red being ... bad! to get a green card you have to do something with out being asked, tidy up nicely (in the first yrs!) be kind to someone thats upset, help with some a teacher! (theres a few other things on the list but cant think of them at mo!) to get a red card which you dont want to do is anything bad/naughty/and everything like that! it works pretty well in his school, another school that i did some work placement at had smiley and sad faces, and the special needs school that i did work placement at they had mini certificates that were handed out at the end of the day in assembly! so the child had to go up on stage and receive the certificate! and at the end of the week the child with the most amount of certificates was treated to a book of there choice. so it all worked out with them! I had another lunch time session at school today and was really good other than my son didnt want me to go home at end of play even tho it was 1:10 when i left and i'd be pickin him up again at 3:00! lol but there we go! i managed to leave him at the gates this morning and grabbed a kiss and cuddle off him too :D whoop! and went home and thought now what am i goin to do! haha! not use to gettin back before 9!!! but there we go!

I'v got a few jobs to do tomorrow as i'm not goin to have much time over the weekend due to me friend asking me to baby sit for her 2 oldest ones as she's off out for her birthday and she prob wont be back till sunday so it'll be an all nighter! :) will be good! and i hope that the kids will be good for me! (they usely are!) so back home on the sunday some point and wash what ever clothes i need to wash and sort out a bag for HOLIDAYSSSSSSSSSSSSS on monday! :D whoop whoop! oct half term has come for us here in leicestershire and so were heading down to Kent for the week! :) so if any of you are in Kent (couldnt say which part cuz i cant remember! lol) look out cuz were coming! hahahhaa

Hi hatz

You are looking forward to your holidays! you will need a holiday after your busy weekend.Smile

I was interested to hear about the red-green card system at school, I can uinderstand the green card for reward but I am not sure what I think about the red card, it labels a child as naughty and really, we want to encourage good behaviour more than punhish bahviour that isn't good......although in the case of bullying as alisoncam's son has experienced, then a red card seems not enough! so you can't win.

Hope all goes well for you today and with all the childcare over the weekend.

there is always that but i think they use it to encouridge the children to be good and get the green card as they dont want to end up with a red card! think thats the way they look at it more than the you'v been naughty etc! .. i'v not seen any one get a red card yet so look at it that way round!! altho i was tempted yesterday as i was talkin to a girl who was fighting and she kept walkin away from me! grrrrr but never mind got her to talk in the end and i just ended up sayin when i'm talking to you please dont walk away from me as thats rude! and she did say sorry for it so all was good at the end of it! lol

well only came on to have a quick look and that was an hr ago! oops! how i love the addiction of facebook! lol (ever thought about puttin an add on there to promto your page a bit more or to let other single parents see that there is this page on the internet????)

i survived the baby sittin! just! not sure how much more i would have survived if it wasnt for me friends dad phoning and sayin he's goin to take the kids! lol not really noticed before this weekend as too how rude her daughter is! and i'm not jokin! i asked her to help tidy up .... NO I DONT WANT TO, I WANT SOME JUICE, and the best one when i took her juice bottle of her cuz she was walking round with it holding the straw in her mouth and the bottle just hangin off the end and it was empty and she turned round to me and said I'M GOIN TO TELL MY MUMMY OF YOU! so i just said do so then! she nevers said thank you or please i had to remind her all the time to say it and i think i'v just found out that i really cant stand her for long periods of time!!!!! other than that her son (mr friends son that is!!!lol) is totally 100% lovely! :D love him to bits (even tho i cant understand him that much at the moment!) he is totally the oppersit of his sister altho i can see a lot of his sister in him but then he's only really got her to go by! my son was starting to get annoyed with everything goin on so i was kinda glad when there grandad turned up to take them both of my hands! :) and 5 mins later i was home my son was shattered and fell asleep at 4:45pm which is not like him at all! he woke up at 5:30pm had a bowl of poridge and was still really tried and he went straight up to bed at 6:00pm and was asleep by probably 6:15! he woke up at 9:30 for a drink and a wee and has gone back in to bed 5 mins later! i know we didnt really get a good night sleep last night as different bed, different room, different house, different everything and we did get up at 6:30am but there we go! i hope that he's goin to be able to go thru till at least 7 in the morning and then get ready for 10 to go on holiday :D whoop! :D might not volunteer me self to do a long run like that again for a little while and i may try and encorage my friend to get her daughter in to play school just to gear her up a bit more for school it's self cuz she aint half going to get a shock when she gets there!

any ways i have had a good weekend really! lol just a few bits that linger on your mind that gets to you and spoils things! .... parents wanting a cuppa now so better go and make them one made them wait till i finsihed writing this which taken bout 10 mins! hehe! xxx catch you all after the week have a good one everyone xxx

Hi hatz

Sounds like a bit on an ordeal for you and you have had a good ida there, for the girl to go to playschool. Once they are three, they can usually have five free sessions a week. Whatever you friend decides, you need to look after yourself too, your friend's "work" is no more important than your childcare, even if she does get paid!

Just want to wish you a lovely holiday, have a great time!

hello! i'm home at long last! you know when it's just been one of them weeks where you just dont know where to go what to do or anything :( ...... cut it short H!..... not had a good week :( ... to be honest i'v hated it :'( and it's not something i would usely say bout a holiday :( but there we go! Monday get there all's good sorted out etc had dinner parents say that my son's not aloud in there room before 9 so thought thats fine by me hopefully we wont be up till about 8 so it'll only be breakfast and then tiny bit of tv and then it'll be 9! ... (guess who forgot to turn there alarm off on there phone!) so it gose of at 7 and i bang it thinking i got the right button 3 mins later it gose off again and my mum bangs on the wall (ply wood) and shouts switch it off at top of her voice (as if in a house! and not a caravan) scares my son half to death and he starts cryin as he WAS asleep so i had to calm him down and my mum wonders why i was tired and didnt want to talk to them! later on gettin dragged round some shops ... not having time to look in them or anything, my son's draggin his feet (being slow) and they turn and tell him off ... they woke him up and he's tired :(. weds went over to the Isle of Sheppe (sheepe?) and my son just wants to find the beach as the parents keep goin on about a beach! when get there it's wet, cold and not very nice at all so we go round the shops and everything find a shop that's selling animals so go in there to divert thoughts! and my son gets excited as they have EVERYTHING in there too look at so when he's showing me step dad round the shop and starts gettin a bit loud my step dads shouts at him to be quite :( thrus dragged round Canterbury one of the most BORINGEST places i'v been too! (sorry if anyone lives there/likes it/or anything else!) but there was nothing there went a cafe and got a drink and what not oh and found a Vegetarian cafe which was about the best thing but my parents decided to just wonder off about 50ft ahead of me and my son so we were there just wondering around behind them not knowin where we were and when they disapeared totally out of sight we were just there like now what do we do :( at least Today has been the best day in a way altho my step dad thought my son would make it the 5hrs home in one go and no stop so when i said a little bladder (not wantin to make it worse for my son!) needs emptyin me step dad looked at me as if to say he'll have to wait but then realised what i meant! and turned to him and said you need a wee of which it was like yes so fast tracked over the 3 lanes of the motorway and straight in to the services picked me son up and was like he's weein all ready so managed JUST to get him to the toilet in time! get home eventually and sorted out son getting tired and as it was like 7 when we finelly got some food and of course my son didnt want to eat so he got shouted at when i was tryin to sort him out :( so i'v not had a good week and wished i'd had stayed at home!

on the other hand if you look at it from money side of life it's been brill! i'v spent all of £30 and £18 of that was on a new pair of trousers cuz as i was climbin up a VERY high climbin frame to get my son up to the slide they split!!!!! so if i hadn't have done that i would not have had to spend the £18 on jeans and only have spent £12 :O haha!!!!!! so on that side of life it was good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oh well back to normal now my nice big DOUBLE bed :D oh how i'v missed it!!!!!!!! caravan singles YUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi hatz

Sorry to hear that the caravan holiday was not as enjoyable as you had hoped. It sounds as if most of the problem happened because of clashes with your parents. I know that as people get older it is easy to get out of touch with what small children need and from their point of view they wanted a peaceful time. However, that is just not going to happen when you are with a little one and so the upsets happened. Maybe you should think long and hard about future holidays, as you could have had the house to yourself last week and your parents could have sneaked off for their quiet break.

Have you heard from the hospital with a new date yet?

tell me bout it! poor little 4yr old :( had a tough week but there we go! me mum did sit down and do a holiday project with him gettin him to copy a simpol sentance and draw a pic so he can take it in to school on monday! so hopefully he'll remember those bits that we'v written down with him more than the anything else that happend!

well i was thinking about the hospital date all week and was wondering weather anything had come thru for us yet or not so when got home on fri i went thru all the post (there wasnt that much actually! lol) and only one for me which i'v got to sort out on monday! but it wasnt from the hospital so thought right i'v got to phone thru to them to chase them up again when what would so happen to drop on the door mat this morning!!!! yes hospital letter! haha addressed to Mr/s L! ... i don't know a mrS L but there we go! haha!!!! (well thearetically me mum's still a Mrs L but only cuz she cant be bothered to change her name!) so we'v got the new date for his appointment and fingers arms legs eyes heart haha feet toes and everything else that can be crossed all is goin to be well for the 19th November :D

weekend goin all right so far! went in to town and picked up a few things came home had some dinner my son was SOOOOOO tired for some odd reason i really cant work out why so he had a forced sleep (yes FORCED!) he was lyin on the settee and yawning his head off so took him up stairs and he lay there fallin asleep and then all of a sudden had a moment where he was wide awake again (confused!) so i ended up with me on the bed him on top of me (how i use to get him to sleep when he was a baby! hehe) and just lay there pattin his back and not lettin him move at the same time keeping calm! lol so he went off to sleep and 45 mins later i woke him up yes he was a grumpy guts but bout half hr after that the ice cream van came round so i went and got him an ice cream and he woke up after that and was happy! lol :) so i guess now is now! lol in my room keepin me self to me self for a bit so the parents can do what ever they like and yes next yr i don't think i'll be goin on holiday with them any more! they can take my son if they want to but i'll be staying at home with what ever animals we have then! (thats if i'm still at home and not gone off and found someone!!! (chance would be a fine thing!!))

Hi hatz. Good news that another appointment has come through, though of course you'll be worrying all over again. Your little lad might still be tired from all that walking on the holiday hehe.

yeh i guessed that too! lol and yup got to go thru all that again on the run up to his appointment but there we go! ... my friends baby has her's this fri she's having her clef lip put together ... if thats what they say! lol she's only 3 months old so bet she's worried even more cuz her baby is so young! but we both know it's all worth it in the end!

well i have to say this morning i was pretty much in tears and have come to the conclusion that tomorrow as i'm in coalville oppersite the council offices i'll be poppin in and having a chat to them. i'v just bout had enouth of me step dad he's always goin on about things and i never feel like i can do anything right any more, got up this morning and it was like 100 mph do this, this needs doin, why isn't this done yet? this floor needs hovering. i actually really had to hold me lip at that comment cuz he'd been on all morning while i'm tryin to entertain my son do the washin up and sort his mums washin out while tryin to get mine in too! (yes that was HIS mum's washing! he never sorts it out and when takes it to her he just puts it here there and everywhere not in the right places etc) but i did mutter under my breath that he has hands and he knows where the hover is he knows how to turn it on he know yeh ... you know what it's like ... so i walked out the room and just got on in the kitchen! washed pots sorted all the washin out (which i got to go catch up on mine) and cleaned all the fat that had come out of the fryin pan that he used this morning and not cleaned up! so i found the deep fat fryer out from behind the kettle that when he brought it he said he'll clean it out and keep it clean there will be non of that re-using the oil bussiness here so we'v had it for 6 months now used it twice and i took the top of and thought OMG that's disgusting all the oil still in it so put it in his place at the table and said that he could clean it out cuz i dont know what to do with the oil in it! and i think me mum's cleaned it out grrrrrrr! as i was doin the washin up i think in the whole 3yrs that me step dads lived here for i'v never known him to do the washin up nor sort his mums washin out????? so why dose he have to bark orders out at me??????????? so any ways as i say i'm poppin over to the offices and goin to ask if can just have a talk to someone in the houseing department so i can just see what there is out there, wehre i stand with money etc, and just see what i might be able to get me hands on cuz i really need to get out of here it's starting to drag me down and everything now :(

If you are able to get a place of your own, it will be so much better.  You might find that you build up a better relationship with your mum and step-dad then too.

Hi hatz. I think that is a good idea. At least see what there is. It does seem from what you say, that you do an awful lot, especially as there are 3 adults in the house! You always seem so busy. As for your stepdad's Mum's washing Surprised  It's lovely to help out, but it isn't your responsibility. I realise everyone has to pull their weight, so how about making a rota??

lol rotas and this house dont go! someone will be forever changing things, somehting will happen, me step dad will say he's workin late, me mum will end up doin his stuff! so it just wont work here :( and yes some days it's never ending i get up take me son to school go home (if it's not a mon cuz over coalville then) hover, clean, wash, iron, pets, toilet bathroom, put away and then get me dinner and have an hr on internet then head it's bout 1or2pm might pop in to town then time to get me son and get his tea sorted out and then there home so it's just a never ending thing.

my sis has just come on line now been a long time since i'v spoken to here (i say me sis she's me best mate that i call me sis! one of the best people in my life and i'v only known her for 3 yrs :O (just a bit over!)) so filling in on whats been happaning and everything now! how i would LOVE to live closer to her tho! thats just the one thing in my life which i would love to be able to change but as my son's now in school i dont want to pull him out of that school to start another as it wont be fare on him at all with the way he is and everything

thanks for your help it's really been needed to keep me from goin mad xxx

Perhaps it can be argued with the council that your home is over crowded as things are?

Hi Hatz

Depending on what the housing situation is, it might be that you have to say that they are throwing you out and you are going to be homeless, which may mean your mum doing a letter confirming that. If things are as you say then she will be feeling the tension too. Does she know you have planned this? Good luck at the council offices anyway, let us know how you get on.

Is there a long waiting list where you live Hatz? Speak with the council anyway, and see what your options are. It doesn't hurt to ask anyway.

I was wondering too if your stepdad has ever mentioned you moving out? How long has he actually been in your lives. I know you've told us before, but I've forgotten (sorry)

Hope you had a nice chat with your friend last night. Heres hoping things won't be too stressful for you today.

i'v not told me mum anything yet, and i dont really know what she thinks of everything goin on either, but she has mentioned in the past bout gettin me own place etc so she'd prob be happy bout it! me step dad has pretty much said bout movin out too, but what i keep thinkin bout is that his daughters both moved out when they were in there early teens so he's prob not actually had a life of living with an older daughter in the house (so to say) but there we go! i'v known him for just over 4yrs now was when i found out i was pregnant with my son that he came in to our lives, just after i had my son they moved out to his house in leicester and so we lived like that for pretty much 2yrs. me brother moved in for about 6months in that time as he was being kicked out his flat and everything so i had him livin with us for that time and then he got him self another flat and moved out of ours again and so i was there by my self (with my son of course!) then cuz of council rules we were gettin letters from them sayin that they have heard me mum's not there any more and they wanted to know what was goin on etc so we managed to batt them off for about 6 months sayin that she was working out of ashby and so was stayin in hotels etc, then said that she was me step dads carer and so was lookin after him in his house (which is true cuz he had a kindy transplant!) and then we received one letter that said if they dont see my mum living at that house we'd be kicked out baskily so they ended up coming back here and living here with us when my son was 2 so they'v been back here for about 2yrs. All was fine (just about!) when i had a job and everything, was able to pay my mum money towards rent and all that, but now i havent got a job and cant pay the money (dont get me wrong i'v given her £20 every month since i'v been on job seekers) but yes now it's got to the point that i cant live here any more. it feels like my step dads pushin me out all the time so i think it's time somethings got to be done. I know that it's prob a long shot bout moving out straight away cuz were not over crowed as were in a 3 bed house so me parents share (of course!) and me and my son has a room each, now if it was that my son was in my room still i'd prob have a leg to stand on as he's 4 and half now and should really have his own room but as that isn't the case i'v just got to see what i can do and everything. x

Hi Hatz. As they have both mentioned it in the past, then it won't come as too much of a surprise to them. They haven't been together too long either, so maybe they need time on their own, all though I'm sure you give them lots of space. Perhaps also your stepdad is finding it hard having a young child around too.

I think it would be good for you to have your own place. Having your own independence, no one interfering with how you bring your son up. Of course you'll find it hard at first, but your Mum and stepdad will always (I'm sure) be around to support you and your son. Have a chat with your Mum, and see how she really feels. Let us know how you get on with the council.

Hello hatz

If there is a long wait for social housing then you could look at private rented property. Just check the ad carefully as some say "No DHSS" which means that they will not take people on benefits. You would be entitled to Housing Benefit towards the rent.

by the time i finsihed with the job center i didnt get chance to go in to the council offercis :( i had to leg it for the bus as it was so wasnt good! lol out the job center at 20past bus comes at half past and it takes 15 mins to walk from there to the bus stop! so i didnt get chance. i do have more time next week so if i'v not gone in before next week it'll have to be then! i'm givin them pleanty of space ... i'm in my room at the moment and prob end up stayin up here! lol under me dovet so nice and warm! lol and i'v done this since we got home on fri! lol so they'v got all evening to them selfs and everything!

I have thought about private before but it's a case of i really dont have any money to my name at the moment livin on about £20 a week if i'm lucky :( so i wouldnt even be able to come up with a deposit for them any time soon so i dont know where i would stand on that part really.

just got to wait and see ..... grrrrr the amount of times i'v told my step dad that i DONT want my son to have a TV in his bedroom again is unreal and today me mum brought a dvd game for xmas for my son and my step dad said ah thats all right then cuz i'v brought him that tv with dvd in it :( GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR I actually turned to him and said i'v told you I dont want him to have a TV in his room! and i'm stickin to it! he's had one before and he got a bugger with it, he dont fall asleep with it on he stays up and watches it so there was one night when i thoguht he was asleep in his bedroom went up to sort his tv out and he was wide awake at 11pm :O so the tv was straight back out of his room cuz i wasnt having it :( and he knew that was the reason for him not having the tv in his room, actually when they started usein the tv me step dad said that they were only useing it till they got a new one for there room so my son can have it back and i said nope! he's not having it back. he's not havin a tv in his room till he's a teenager! so you can keep it! so why the buddy hel has he brought a brand new tv with dvd player in it for my son :( god only knows!!!!!!!! don't know what he's goin to do with it now tho! lol up to him i'v told him time and time again that he's not having one in his room so he can sort it out him self!

Hi Hatz. Put the tv aside for now, that will come in extremely handy when/if you move into a place of your own!!!! Your stepdad on one hand is very kind to have bought it for your lad, but on the other, he is over-riding what you have already said, about no tv in the bedroom.

I'm not sure, but I think you need to put a deposit down for the renting. That's how it normally works anyway. Hope you're getting a quiet evening.

Hi hatz

The housing office will be able to tell you whether there is a scheme in your area that helps with bonds (this varies in different areas) otherwise if your stepdad would prefer it if you lived independently, maybe this is something he could help you with?

Hi hatz

So it was half term last week when you were on holiday. That is different from most o the rest of the country where it is this week

yeh were bout a week infront (or behind!) lol which ever way you want to put it! lol use to be 2 week different but they changed it to 1 week different! i remember when i was moving up schools leicestershire to derbyshire and we were on the 2week different so i ended up having the 6weeks holiday + 2 extra weeks! lol i was board!!!!!!!!

Well! lol i'v had to have a couple days off from internet, it was gettin to me a bit! lol but i'm back now! lol i have some good news!!! but i will start ... at the start! (of course!) lol On thursday i started my first aid course and i get a message half way thru from school asking if i can do some emergency cover so i gave them a quick call and said yup i'll be there after my course! so i turn up and sorted me stuff out cuz i didnt have time to go home! lol after my shift i went to get me stuff and the lady turns to me and said ah H. i want to offer you the job temperary :D whoop! i had to think bout it for a min to work out what she was sayin to me and it clicked so i was like... :O yes please! :D so as off thrusday i'v been on tempary full time work! hehe!

well today LaughingSurprisedYellSurprisedLaughing (yes all of them!) decided that i will treat C for a few hrs at the Zoo (twycross!) so after we got everything ready and sorted out for the day (dinner!) we went in to town and got to the bus stop! and waited, and waited AND WAITED! went to look at the time table ... just missed the bus :( OOPS! so the next one was at 1pm (2hr wait!) saw me brother and was chattin to him and my son decided to go and climb on the metal bus shelter and just as i turned to him to say get down from there he fell and wacked his eye on the solid post that keeps the whole lot up :O yup he's got a HUGE Shiner on his right eye now! it's massive (wish i could upload a photo of it! i was debatin weather i should head off to a&e so phoned me mum and discribed it to her and she said nah he should be fine!) we went up to the cafe to get my son a make you feel better extra special hot choc with cream and marshmallows! lol (got to be done!) then it got to 10 to 1 so we went to the bus stop to wait for the bus! when the bus got to the stop we went on and payed for the ticket *now before they had an offer where you can pay for the bus fair and didnt have to pay to get in to the zoo .. so we got the ticket and he said a smaller price than before and i stood there thinkin for a min and asked are you not doin the offer any more for the zoo and he said no county councle has stopped it :( :'( i didnt have enought money for both bus fair and ticket fair and had to get off the bus (thankfully he gave me my money back) i had to explain to my son who was rather upset that we had to get off the bus which in turn made me upset and yes we had a cry together in town. some lady came up to us and asked if we were ok and i told her that yes we were but no we wernt at the same time and she kinda gave me a hug and walked about 3 steps away from us i picked my son up and gave him a cuddle, next thing i know that same lady was stuffin some paper in to my hand and said take your son to the zoo. :O i looked at her kinda gone out and looked in my hand, she'd only gone and given me £10 :O a total stranger!:O 100% kindness but well you know how these things make you feel! so after a few mins i managed to get my son to clam down (and my self!) and i told him what had just happend to me and then said right what were goin to do now is pop over to the library and look on the Zoo internet and see how much things are... (cut this story shorter!) can afford it now! had to phone mum cuz bus not till 3pm and wouldnt get time there (had phoned her before cuz the lady and money!) she phoned back and said look i need a break from the house i'll take you there! :D so mum dropped us off and everything :D ... got in to the ticket place and was ever so slightly naughty! i read on the sight about special needs children gettin in cheaper! so i turned to the chap and said 1 +1 special needs he looked at my son and said ok £7 and i said is that for me too and he said yes you get in as a carer :O :D hehe! i know it's naughty but after everything thats happend today i kinda needed a break of some sort and i took that as that! lol

so nows now! sorry it's been a long message! lol but it's just whats what today! lol *and last week! :D still gettin over the shock of the extra money of a toatl stranger but i think it's an amazing act of kindness!

Hi hatz

That's brilliant, sometimes these things happen just out of the blue, glad you had a good time, I expect that lady felt great too, to have helped you like that. The first Christmas I was on my own, the local vicar gave me an envelope and said an anonymous benefactor had asked him to give it to someone who needed it, I opened it and there was £40 in the envelope! so I know how you feel, I was able to take the boys to the pantomime as well as money for prezzies.

Well done on the job, that's exciting news. Hope your boy's eye will soon be better.

WOW! that must have been nice for you to have the money to get pressies and everything altho yes you do feel a bit funny bout it! my brother wanted togo on holiday with his girlfriend and his church but they couldnt afford it all and his vicar said a week before they went away said that people had paid extra money in to the kitty and there was enought to take them with them too! so they had an all paid for holiday (ok it was only stayin in a field for a week in a tent!)

Well my son has informed me this morning that he dosent want his black eye any more, bless him! had to tell him that it will be there for a few days and then it'll go down and then away! lol today it is more of a black eye than just a bruise on the side of his eye! it's spread the whole way across his eye lid bless him! but as i said he had his photos last week! lol
