Hi everyone.

Ooh Hazeleyes - a Kindle. I LOVE my Kindle, best thing I ever bought. I think I've only ever paid for a couple of books and that was when I was given a voucher last Christmas.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes. Handover with ex went ok this morning. To say he's had a fortnight away he doesn't look very relaxed. Keeping up with the younger set must be tiring him out Wink. J decided to go in the end, after checking that he was definitely coming home tomorrow. Seeing as he had a forty five minute meltdown this morning, I wished ex luck and waved them off with an evil grin! The good news is I no longer live in a pig sty! Off out for an Indian tonight with friends. Going to go and have a long soak in the bath now.

Hope everyone has a good day

Glad that J went with your ex ok today looby. You can relax and enjoy some time for yourself. I love indian food, thinking about it is making my mouth water.....get me a doggy bag?Wink

Just got back from town, saw a desk in the charity shop for £25 so got that for A, she's upstairs re-arranging her room! H has gone out with friends, I bought her some new clothes which she's put on, she looks like a mini Justin Beiber!!!

Enjoy your evening out looby.

How nice for A.  I'm sure the room will look lovely after pq.

Must be a day for Kindle's as it's my friend's birthday today and she's had a Kindle... So I've printed off a voucher for her.  I had no idea what to get her otherwise.

What team do you support Mark66?

Daughter is off out tonight, so I'm being taxi at 8.15 pm and at 2am.  Perhaps I should put the sick bowls in the boot in case... Her friend is 19 and does enjoy a night out.  My daughter reckons she'll be staying sober to keep an eye on them.  Same she's left her phone in MiL's.  She'll have to take her brother's!

Excuse me. but what is `MiL`s`, I know MILFs, but that is a bit naughty!

Looby, enjoy your Indian tonight. PQ, you had a good shopping day, or should I say, the kids did. Were there any bargains for you?

Sparkling, the voucher is a great idea for your friend. Certainly a Kindle day. I haven't put mine down. Am reading the story of Holly Wells and Jessica Chapman. Holly's father has written it. So sad.

Hope you have a good evening Louise.

Hi kiera, yes it's extremely sad. I remember them going missing as if it was yesterday. The book is really what it was like working with the police, family liason officers at the house etc.

The bloke has been charged with the murder of that little girl in Machynlleth.  I guess the 'other' side of the door is something you don't think about.

I believe Holly's Dad felt writing it helped him.

My heart goes out to them, it really does.

So, no housework done (again) Will have to do it tomorrow!

Wrap up warm Sparkling, you've a long night ahead of you, by the sounds of it. Though, of course, you won't be out for all those hours. Don't fall asleep will you, and miss picking your daughter up. Now, that's something that I would do hehe

sounds like everyone is having a good evening. It is cold in my old house with the dodgy window. Anyone else cold? My plans for going out got blown out so here chilling out, but wierd to be here with my little boy, as normally only here when he is. Watching a recording of House at the mo. What is everone up to.

Hazeleyes I would love a kindle are they as good as they seem. That book sounds very hard going but you would be compled to keep reading it.

Sparklinglime I have had that look already and my son is only six.

Mine being only 6 I still have being taxi mum to look forward to. You are good picking up at 1.00am, she is very lucky to have such a helpful mum.

My house is an old worker cottage and the window are awful so even with heating on it can be cold but then I am told I am always cold unless I have had a few beers!

My son said to me the other day please do not wear that to school mummy you look posh. He is already ashamed of me lol.  He does also say that mummy looks lovely sometimes when I come down from getting dress so I can't really complain.

I hope you are able to have a good night until 1.00am

She's gone out to a town about 12 miles away.  Her friend's birthday.  I'm taking a bowl with me to pick them up as her friend does drink like a fish - I've warned her that they're only allowed to get merry.

I don't mind playing taxi Smile  I'd rather pick them up to be honest.

Her big brother has gone out too, I think to keep an eye on her!

I can understand wanting to pick her up and I hope her friends don't need the bowl. She has a nice brother if he wants to look out for her.

Kiera - sound good to me. I am watching house with a beer as all I had in tonight but still good. have a good night and let me know of film is any good!

Good morning everyone

Hope your daughter was OK, sparkling. I think you are totally fab to do the taxi run. My son has a "big night out" every Saturday now that he does not work on Sundays. Last night, one of his friends that does the club promo work was ill so son did the shift for him. I think this was nothing more glamorous than handing our leaflets and touting for business in the street outside.

Are you enjoying your Kindle, Hazeleyes? I have read the book you were talking about, it was very compelling to hear about how that poor dad coped. PQ that was an excellent bargain getting the desk. Was your Indian food yummy? Mark 66 you don't like ManCity, dare I ask if you support Man U? Alibar, sorry to hear about your windows, I have lived in a flat like that, brrrr. Kiera you were having a relaxing evening, good for you!

My soiree....well three people were invited, including me. I was on time (7) and the other two cancelled at 8pm. I felt sorry for the hostess, she had done food and everything. Anyway we had a good night Smile

What's everyone up to today?

Good morning everyone,

Shame about your night out louise, at least you enjoyed yourself anyway.

We've got a duvet day planned, dvd's, chocolate and crisps. Although eldest is stropping about her homework at the moment so if that continues there wont be time for the rest!!!! Any tips on how to get your reluctant children to do homework will be greatly recieved Smile.

Maybe Arsenal M66???

Hi pancakequeen

Yep you got it Smile

With regards to homework, I get mine to do it as soon as he gets home, that was the way I had to do it!
