Hi kiera, the party sounds fun!

Hello Karim, I am wondering what information you would like. If you look at the top of the Home Page there are different sections to click on, they have titles like "You" and "your money" and they have lots of articles you can look at on different topics....see what you think.

Hi hi, it's BERNISE mountain dogs - from Bern in Switzerland, not Burmese (from Burma? do they have mountains? or dogs?)

As you can see I need some serious cheering up. Back to uni for tutorial. great. At least I'll do Zumba after that...

Hi all. Busy few days, but not much to say really hehe. So tired, and yet I've been sleeping okay! C woke with sore throat, sigh but is okay. Should be swimming tonight, but not taking him, until he's over everything. Nearly half way through the week, and looking forward to half term. Hope everyone is okay. x

Hi all, I am on a bit late, I hope you are well and enjoying your lovely suppers! I was a bit perplexed what to make for dinner, but I can smell my daughter cooking something. I hope she has remembered I am in here and has cooked for two!!

Have a good evening, catch up tomorrow!

Morning, hope everyone is well today.

Does half-term start on Friday for some of you? It is not until a week on Friday here. I only had one counselling client yesterday as the new client was ill. Went to church housegroup after tea, they were looking at a particular Psalm....and we had to draw a picture of it, shock horror.

Does anyone else watch "Cuckoo" on BBC three? It is very funny.

Oh that is awful PQ! Had the cat brought it in?

Karim does your son live with his mum?

How is everyone today? Just heard on the news that there are going to be a couple of HOT DAYS next week, but I cannot see it on any weather websites so probably just a rumour (hurriedly puts away sarong and tells slave with huge feather fan that he won't be required after all)

Off to do some errands shortly. Why is it that teenagers drink so much milk? Mine has had four pints in 48 hours Surprised

We go through gallons of milk in this house, never mind pints...

I heard it on the weather forecast on BBC saying it was warming up next week.  Our only heatwave was in March, which lasted a week Cool

Hot days, yay!!!! It's already good double figures here (16 yesterday) so here comes the yearly indian summer.

Had drug calculation exam just now with almost no revision (it was due next Wednesday, but because of the silly chemo change I went to today's) as the laptop broke down last night. Think it's ok though. We only have to get 100 % right....

Hope everyone is ok! :-)

Hello karim, do you know when are you will be released?

Kiera I will watch Dispatches Smile Glad you enjoyed the celebration. What costume will you get for your daughter? When my youngest was small, he went to a fancy dress party so I painted his face red and he wore a red t shirt and borrowed some red tights from my friend's daughter and he had some Hallowe'en horns on and I made a notice for his back that said "little devil" haha. Because he really was a handful when he was little.

Hopeful, fingers crossed for the exam results

Sparkling yes I can imagine the gallons of milk thing, what I really hate is when they put an empty carton back in the fridge!! Yell

PQ yes silly question, starling unlikely to have been brought in by your daughters!!!!

Ah, exam failed. Tongue Out but the program did keep freezing on me and it is only 1 point out of 150 I lost. AND it's not a I-would-have-killed-my-patient thing, I clicked mL instead of mL/hr. Would make no difference in practice at all. I'll take it again and it will be ok. Three of my friends did the same sort of thing, and we're all the supposedly 'clever' ones.

Birds in the house - Aw, PQ, I can sing a song about that! The cat will come to the window and knock and will want to be let in WITH whatever he has caught, because he is so proud that he wants to show off. He doesn't get why we won't let him in.... :P

Today is my day for getting organised, but I don't hold much hope...

Daughter is trying to break into the living room.  The cat is inside and has dug the carpet up as the door was pulled to.

When the cat gets out she will find out that she can fly clear over the garden and into the field.  I'm not usually a violent or aggresive person, but honestly...  Anyone want a siamese/tabby?  She'll be in the field behind our house...

Hi karim, it sounds as though you are really missing your little boy. Can you draw pictures for him and send them to him?

3 months is a long time. You say that you are bored, I am wondering if you could do an online course? Perhaps Learn English?

I hope everyones children who have halloween parties tonight enjoy themselves.

I have assignments to tackle. Luckily my daughter has hoovered the flat and is going out shortly, so I will have peace and quiet to get on (note to self - must not go anywhere near the internet or tv!!)

Have a great weekend Smile

Good morning all. Quite a busy week, with work, shopping and seeing the neighbours!! My Osteo was playing up on Wednesday, think that was a combination of me carrying heavy shopping, and the damp weather. I was in lots of pain, that actually reduced me to tears, it was that bad. Much better now though, a bit of an ache, but I can handle that.

Half term looming, just five days to go, yeahhhh. I shan't bother doing much this weekend in the way of cleaning, will wait until next week (where have I heard that before, hehe) C is wanting to go to my sisters for the week still, but I am quite concerned with the fact that, last night she told me (again) that her joints keep locking. I personally don't think she should be driving. Am in a dilemma now (nothing new there then)

Hope you all have a good day whatever you're doing.

Hello one and all and I hope the sun is shining for you.

Hazeleyes, poor you with the pain, that is horrid for you. I can imagine half term will be a big relief. That sounds worrying about your sister. C enjoyed his visit so much last time and it does them the world of good to have a bit of independence so I do hope you can sort something out. How far is it to your sister's?

I had to giggle here because youngest was out on Thursday night, spent the night at a friend's house and walked to work early yesterday morning....then got home about 6.30 last night, had tea and announced he would have a short nap. I suggested that it would be a good idea to have his shower, sort his work things and set his alarm so that it did not matter how long he slept. No, Mum, that is silly!!!!! so off he went for his nap and it lasted ten hours, fully clothed, teehee, then I went and woke him up for work as I was not sure if his alarm was set.

He was obviously shattered Louise, so the long 'nap' did him a power of good I'm sure.

The journey is about one and half/two hours drive. This is the worrying part for me. He did have a great time before, but then I had the hassle of the homework when he returned. He took it with him, but my sister kept 'forgetting' to get some paper (even though I reminded her daily) That didn't go down too well with me, grrrr. Then of course late nights, early mornings, which just don't agree with C. I kept pointing this out to her, but again, fell on deaf ears. We did speak about this last night, but of course, if I'm not there, then it'll be forgotten. Don't get me wrong, I don't mind him having late nights in the hols, but at least here, he can, and does, have his lie ins (which he loves) I'm a worry wort I know, but I just know how C ticks, and he'll be a nightmare when school resumes, and I'll be the nagger, which I don't want!! If I say no, I'll be the worst mother ever. I wish I had the money to tempt him on days out, but I can't right now, so........

Yes that is a long drive, and I understand your concern. As far as homework goes, completing it before he is allowed to go is one way round that, and maybe a shorter visit so he has a couple of restful days at home afterwards? This situation totally reminds me of when children go to visit their other parent and so many members on here say their child has late nights, hasn't done their homework, the parent ignores any request to keep the child in its routine and then the day to day parent is left to pick up the pieces afterwards! Does this sound familiar?

Son got off to work ok anyway and I am doing sausage casserole for tea. I also braved the malodorous Pandora's box in which he keeps his dirty laundry...phew-eee. Washer is on at full pelt Undecided

This must be the laziest day ever - mind you the weather is miserable and I am thinking somebody was having me on with announcing hot temperatures! :-(

Louise, that sounds very familiar. As for the shorter visit, I did ask if she could bring him back on the Friday (as planned with her a while ago) she had agreed, but then changed it to the Saturday. Friday would have been great, that would at least give him a good sleep that night, plus Saturday, and of course, two lie ins. Not much, but better than nothing.

Hopeful, your kitchen, I'm sure, will be all spick and span when you're allowed back in. What a lovely thing for your daughter to do.

I've been in the scout hut all day with the jamboree on the airwaves. Jamboree on the Internet however, easy shockingly un moderated with us having to get the scouts to close it.

Glad the day went well, sparkling, apart from the internet shenanigans Surprised So what is planned for today?

Hopeful, yes I think that news report of lovely weather was a BIG FIB. Although it was milder here yesterday. What was the verdict on the cake?...and the kitchen?

Hazeleyes, sounds difficult to juggle what your sister wants to do, with the structure you know C needs. What's on the agenda today? (and more to the point, what's for dinner?)

Kiera did you have a good evening? PQ, Looby, karim how are you?

I am going to a Quaker meeting this morning. I am giving a talk about the counselling service where I work. I understand the worship is silent and people just speak or pray as they feel moved to do, should be interesting. My talk is right at the end of the service. One of the youth counsellors is coming along too Smile

That sounds interesting Louise. Am sure you'll be a knockout with your talk. Good luck. For dinner today, I've taken out the dreaded mince!!

The way things are going here, C won't be going away. Yesterday, he should have tidied his bedroom, and had his homework done! He has done some drawings for HW, bedroom not touched, in fact more stuff was got out to play with, so added to the mess. Not happy with him at all (and he knows it) I did tell him yesterday, that if he can do everything that I ask of him, then I will think about it. So, all thoughts of going away have been pushed to the back of my mindCool

Hope everyone has a good day. Somehow, don't think mine is going to go wellFrown
