Sparkling sorry you feel so trapped. It's partly to do with the kids and partly to do with your disability I guess? Feel free to share, we all care about you lots.

Hazeleyes, hope you are feeling better for the halfterm gong sounding. C will be getting excited for his little trip. How are YOU doing?

Hopeful how are you getting on? Hope the chemo fug is lifting.

PQ a nice day and enjoy your coffee Wink We have SNOW here! but only on the car roofs and the grass. Are you feeling ok about the girls going to to your parents?

I am still basking in the holiness of having done out my wardrobe yesterday, and hoping to do another similar job today so I can keep the smugness going Tongue Out It's a very rare event as I usually put these things off as long as possible.

Rather chilly here, but the sun is dazzling!

The sun is too bright to see if there's snow on the mountains yet, but my daughter was saying her friend had told her it was snowing on the northern side of the island yesterday afternoon.

I need an idea to start working from home please.  I can't do with the pressure I'm under for working full time.  It is emotional pressure.  I didn't win the Euro lotter unfortunately Smile

The Git phoned yesterday evening.  First contact since the funeral in May.  He's coming up for a week in the first week of December...  Son will be 21, so he'd better hold on to his wages to pay for the fuel he'll need to fund his evening out with them Cool

At least now he'll now the middle two are in college and oldest has quit...  Well, i'm guessing he does.

For those who think its apalling that I don't update The Git with information, I have no contact details Laughing  And I have good reason for the name Laughing  And my children do not know I call him that (and his wife The Gittess - sadly she earned that too...)

Sparkling, you could do with a home-based job for 16 hours a week. Is there something you could teach to people? You would not have to teach for 16 hours as some of the hours would be admin, own book-keeping, studying for yourself, writing the lesson plans etc.

Kiera have a nice walk. Hope you were wrapped up, pancakes, yum, what are you putting in them? I am trying out a new recipe for stuffed peppers, son is looking forward to it, am not sure I am, still all he has to do is turn up to the table and eat it Smile

Hopeful wrap up warm, that BBC weatherman has a lot to answer for!

PQ I am glad that your mum has had a think about the girls coming.

Never thought of teaching...  I have all my crafting stuff and sometimes think of doing something with that at times.  Can't hold a needle anymore though, which is a pain as I used to do lovely tapestries and needlepoint.  Now I never thought of preperation and book-keeping associated with it.

That gives me more food for thought Louise, thank you Laughing

We watched Supernatural recordings, Merlin and now I have X-factor on.  Think I'll go to bed to watch it though.

Scout training tomorrow.  I can download stuff for that stupid questionnaire and write it out while I'm at the hut.  I can then type it up later.  Boss hasn't phoned me though to do his bit, so I can't actually see the thing getting submitted as it is due in on Friday.

We've had a nice day out.  Three came with me out and about and then drove across to see my son at work.  Mainly to show my lot a table and chairs I'm thinking of getting for the kitchen. Half price and then 20% off makes it very appealing, and we'll have more room.  I have a massive table I bought for my lot when they were teeny from a famous swedish store!  It's well worn, scratched, gouched and painted on.  It will be difficult letting it go, but it is huge.

We're back to rain here tomorrow, so glad we have been out together.  It's not happened for a while, and I'm sure this lot only came along as they know I'm down.

Rather proud as I didn't adopt the two guinea pigs in pets at home, or the rabbit... (we have a vacant hutch).  Children no so impressed!

PQ that recipe sounded exotic, how did it work out?

Hazeleyes, how are you this morning? Is it C's trip today?

Hopeful how are you doing?

I watched Stricly AND X-Factor, heh heh. Son went out but had to obey curfew as he is working today. Stuffed peppers nice but too peppery, if that is not nonsense. Son polished off the rest of mine. Next time I will cut thick strips of pepper, lie them in a casserole dish then pile the mixure on top, then bake it and serve it cut in squares like a lasagne.

How is everyone today?

Good morning all. First day of holiday, and guess who forgot to turn alarm off?Cool Bit of commotion next door last night, father and son, tearing strips off each other (nothing new) police were called (again, nothing new) Finally settled down to sleep at 1.30amSurprised

Sparkling, I missed your post about the Git coming down in December. I do hope your eldest is spoilt for his 21st by him. It's the least he deserves. The table. Did you order it? Is there a big sale on then, that I've missed?

Louise, enjoy your day with your eldest. I'm sure he'll cook you something delicious, and he'll certainly love the stuff you're taking him.

Pq, how are you, now the girls have gone?

Today is the day for C, and again, I'm not looking forward to this whatsoever. Yes, I keep telling myself it's great for him, which it is, but I loathe the long journey, especially without me being in the car. I am a born worrier (too late to change now) I've given him money to buy the pumpkins for Wednesday, one for each of the children. Also his bits and bobs, crisps, biscuits, pasta, orange squash, milkshake. I feel better knowing that he won't feel 'bad' asking for anything, if he knows they're his. Not quite sure what time he's actually setting off, around 12 from here (I think) I shall then crack on with some of what needs doing in here (that's the plan anyway)Wink

Hope you all have a good Monday.

Good morning everyone,

My weekend was very busy. Had a lovely day on saturday. My friend and her boys came for a sleepover. I cooked the prawn dish and it was really nice, even the black spaghetti tasted nice, although looked slightly odd Undecided. Didn't get to bed until 2am and that was with the hour going back Surprised, then the kids woke up at 5.30am, so not much sleep for me. Drove up to my parents and dropped the girls with them. Had lunch then drove back home. Had a nap on the sofa for an hour or so, had something to eat then went to bed.

Hazeleyes, it feels very strange in the house when the girls are away. I'm going out to meet a friend tonight but apart from that I have a quiet week. Normally I would fill my time with things so I don't mope, but I am so tired at the moment I think I will just rest and do the minimal amount. I hope C gets away ok, I'm sure he will have a lovely time. Its hard not to worry about our children when they aren't with us but you know he will be looked after by your sister. Try to do some nice things for you this week aswell as the house stuff, even if its just rediscovering your favourite films with a big bar of chocolate Smile

Sparkling, my friend's friend works from home selling phoenix cards and another friend of mine made cards at home for a company, then set up her own business making cards. Just some ideas for you. Do you like reading? You could become a proof reader for a publishing house?

Have a great day with your son louise.

As soon as I get that text, my hoover will be out Frown

Actually I could do proof reading...  Something I'd never thought of pq.  I shall look into this.  I need to make sure I keep the working tax credits really (I know that's an awful attitude)

Someone was saying that snow is forecasted for winter again.  That would add pressure, the anxiety of driving to work.

I just need something in place before I resign - or rather ask him to make me redundant.

I can't deal with pressure anymore.  I used to - you could chuck oodles at me and I'd deal with it!  Now I can't and don't want to.  I doubt for a second I'd be missed, other than my bargain hourly rate Smile

Hi all, sparklinglime, you have such a huge heart, did you go to the daughters party yesterday? I hope that you are looking after yourself at these times.

Do you have a local Gumtree website? I am wondering if there are any working from home opportunities there (of course - never hand over money, unless one hundred percent sure they are legal)

hazeleyes - well done for sorting the bathroom and washing. In a post yesterday you said that you loathe the dark evenings, it makes you feel miserable and depressed - awww I wish i could give you some of the feeling I have. I love it. Its so cosy, you can shut the world out, put on your favourite food, favourite telly and you are safe, snug and warm AND don't have to worry/think about anyone else! Maybe tonight you could pretend to be me and see how gorgeous it is!! Wink
