Glad they behaved hazeleyes.  You'll sort them Yr 6 lot out...  So very pleased you've heard though as you'll enjoy the summer hols all the more.

Beach thing went well.  One heavy shower for a few minutes, then dry.  Great success.

Glad the weather was good for you all tonight Sparkling, especially as it was at the beach. Sounds great.

Lrh, year 6 will be 10/11. The attitude of some of these is unbelieveable, but I guess I know most of them now, so will knock em down to size, hehe. The teachers are horrid though, and one of them was actually bullying her TA last year, and it was witnessed, but nothing was done. One teacher today has told me to join the union for definate!! Another year 6 teacher is actually being moved to year 4, so thankfully C won't have her, but in her place is one who isn't that nice either. Don't really feel lucky tonight to be honest, but at least I have a job. (that's what I'm telling myself anyway)

Pash, on somedays it feels like borstal hehe.

Good morning all. Well, as I expected, not a great night's sleep. Always the way though isn't it? Something on your mind, and sleep is very much disturbed. Everyone's comments going round in my head, and they were all negative comments I might add, which doesn't help me in the least!! The only positive that I can clearly see is that I shall be still with my 1:1 lad, which of course is the only reason they are putting me up a year. I did try and argue the point of him getting more out of someone else, as now he's known me for two years, he's 'playing' up a bit. He's a fantastic lad, but like all children, once they become familiar with you, they do get more comfortable around you, and so tend to act up more. The SENCO said he is completely confident around me, and his confidence was knocked before I started with him. She feels he could go back to square one if she took me away for his final year at Juniors. Can see her point of course, so.......

Hope the sun is shining for everyone. It is here for the moment anyway. Loads of washing to catch up with, so hoping a good day for drying. Everything can wait, as I want to have a bit of fun with C. Think we both deserve some 'us' time this weekend.

Hello everyone.

It's grey, windy and chilly here Cry Glad there is some sun somewhere! And so pleased that the weather didn't spoil the beach party, Sparkling.

Hopeful, congrats on your team getting through to the next round!

Hazeleyes, I know exactly what you mean about negative comments going round in your head and I always think it is worse in the middle of the night. First of all, great that you have the job in September. Secondly, I agree you should join the union. You already know many of the children you will be working with and one of the things schools tend to do with Year 6 is take them in hand ready for senior school...which is why you may think of the teachers as not very nice. You are now someone with experience, both voluntary and paid and you are an asset to the school, chin up and shoulders back and be assured you can do it!! Laughing

Well, lots of news this end. Youngest been told that as soon as he finishes college, he can have more shifts at Asda to make him to to a full-timer, which is fantastic. Eldest came yesterday. He has a new house to move into towards the end of July. Present tenancy ends 30th June so he is putting his stuff into storage and sofa-surfing in between work shifts and coming here on days off to have a good sleep and get his washing done. The most spectacular thing of all, though, is that he has signed up to do a sky-dive!!!!! It is in aid of Teen Cancer Trust, which is the charity his firm is supporting this year. He has told me now to give me time to get used to it. I don't think I will!

Oh wow Louise, a sky-dive. My nephew did this a few years ago, and my sister was a nervous wreck on the day too. We've watched the DVD of it, and it totally turned my stomach. Cannot begin to imagine how you'll be, gosh!! Brilliant news for your youngest. At least he's sorted work wise, which is a huge bonus right now. Eldest is also sorted too, with new accomodation, and looks like you're sorted, with the added laundry hehe.

Hope the weather improves your end today. Are you out and about?

Am i to take it you are being bullied at your place of work?

If so complain to the headmaster 1, Verbaly and in writing.

2, if nothing is resolved complain to the LA education dept.

Also Join a union you do not have to do this at the place of work you can do it over the phone, at the local office or online.

Any problem's over the union let me know as i have friends in high place'sat the TUC  thanks to my late farther.

Have been to a meditation group today, was only there to take someone else along who had not been before, but I enjoyed it and had a cuppa. Then shopping, just some bits for the weekend. I am in need of a new bag as current one looks as if it belongs to Edna The Inebriate Woman so will be having a trip to Matalan in the week. Saw one in my catalogue but it was £85. Unbelievable!!! I was thinking more of £8.50.

As for the sky dive, I m already having kittens Surprised

Hope everyone will have a good evening, it is still cold and rainy here, I was talking to some older people today and they have had their heating on all week. I think I will warm up with a curry Cool

I have to say I wouldn't cope to well with the thought of one of my lot doing a sky dive.  A daughter of someone I know did and is was possibly one of her worst days ever, but the exhiliration (however you spell it) her daughter had was ace, and she can't wait to go again...

Took my neighbour shopping.  She really does drive me nuts.  Rant alert...  I pay her the rent for her garage as we still have it half full.  Her HB actually covers this, she let slip one day.  I'm 50p short this month as the rent has gone up.  I took her on a 30+ miles round shopping trip today.  She hadn't been out since Wednesday (like this is my fault)... **sigh**

Hi Guys, sorry haven't been on for a few days. My own stupid fault, forgot my password and took me 2 days to sort out , sheer stupidity on my part..lol...

Plenty of news I see. Wow Louise, your son doing a sky dive! Well done that lad, and for such a good cause. You must be really proud and of course worried as any parent would be. Glad you had nice time at the Meditation Group, even though it wasn't meant for you. At least you got a nice cuppa:)

Sparkling, hope you feel better soon, and find that 50p for your rent...lol...

Hazel Eyes , glad you got the job but don't stand any nonsense from the other teachers.

Hopeful, Pash, Lrh hope you are all good and enjoying weekend,

Had a busy few days. Got loads on work wise for which I feel really blessed especially in this day and age:) Plus I love my job and gave a really good mix of clients.

I have also attended something at our church the last couple of evenings plus been there all day today. A guy called Marc Dupont, from Toronto has been doing a course on Prophesy, a subject that I am really interested in. It was brilliant. At the end of the session today there was an opportunity for anyone with back or knee problems tofog to the front for prayer. Well I injured my knee last October when I went on holiday to Rhodes with my friends. I was teaching Aqua Aerobics to my pals. and had a mishap , slipped and injured knee. Could hardly walk for the remainder of hols and knee has not been right since.

So I got up for prayer today and lets just say knee feels different. May go for a run tomorrow morning, let's see...

bye for now

Good morning all

Hello Christian, that would be wonderful if your knee could ease. I went to a Spiritual Gifts evening at my church this past week and there was a bible study and then some healing. I don't know if there were any big developments as the evening went on rather late and I left before the end (When something is supposed to finish at 9pm then it gets to 9.30 and it still is not near the end then it is time for decisive action, I say) Glad work is going well. How are things with your daughter?

Sparkling, GRRRR on your behalf Yell People's personalities seem to change when money is involved, I have found that when moving house. Perhaps next time she asks to go shopping you could say well I would do, but unfortunately can't afford petrol at the moment, I am about 50p short.....Hope the sorting isn't too bad.

Hi Hazeleyes, what plans for Sunday, what's for dinner? I think I will do tuna pasta here as it is just me. Son went to work in a taxi this morning, he must be feeling rich. He must also be feeling tired as I heard him creep in at 2.20am and he was up again at 6am. Words are going to be had, let me tell you. I have to tread carefully as he is only a few weeks from his 18th birthday and too grown up for some of my previous ploys Wink

Hi Hopeful, well I think it is a tandem jump already so maybe you could join in and make it a triple jump? One of my counselling clients did a jump last year and described to me how very exciting she had found it. Are you watching the football tonight?

Hope everyone is Ok and will have a peaceful and relaxing day Smile

Taking of food have you noticed have the cooked roast chichken from morrisons taste's better than asda chicken and at $4.40 it may seem expensive but add on the Gas and the price of an uncooked chicken .

Also How many of you have signed up to newsletters from stores like BHS or others the reason is you can get online/ instore discounts.

Also for flea tabs etc go to petmeds ( highly recomended) and get them to price match other online pet stores :))

Hello. Sister popped in today unexpectedly which was nice. She's staying at her daughters. Once she left, I did the ironing, and put dinner on, which was pork and roast pots with veg. C is pottering outside, playing detectives I think, so I have a few minutes on my own. Forgot to say this earlier. I woke up at 5.30 and went to the kitchen. What do you think was peering at me from outside?? Yep, the ruddy squirrel!! It was actually looking in, and then it walked along the ledge a bit, and put it's paw at the window, as if tapping to come in!!!! You'll be delighted to know Sparkling, I have e.mailed the MP, hopefully he'll be able to sort something for me. Watching the football now, Louise - went to the cinema (arranged a while ago, obviously my brain was elsewhere) to see Men in Black which was fun.

I want Italy to win (*duck*) - only because I am so fed up with all the stupid comments I get everytime England play against Germany. '1966!!!' {to which my reply is obviously and invariably 1954, 1974, 1990} or '5:1!!!' {which was a world cup qualifier match which resulted in England being in a group with Brazil and being knocked out in the first round and Germany in the final against Brazil} and I am soooooo bored iwth that.

Anyway, it doesn't look like I've missed anything at all. I arrived for the last 15 minutes and am now bored by the extra-time, hence I've got the laptop....

A triple jump sounds fun to me - I'd be up for that! :-)

Hi everyone

Quite a good day today. Was inspired to go for a run this morning, managed 6 miles. Knee okay, and managed to do proper calf , quad and hamstring stretches which I havent been able to do for months because of knee. So well chuffed.

Met a weird bloke when I was finishing my run and he said if I run in the same place every Sunday morning he will be sure to be there to catch me. I told him he would need to be a fast runner to get me. He looked about 70 and had a walking stick. He was strange!!!

J is fine, and managed to broach the subject of summer hol stay with Dad she had admitted to being apprehensive. So I have spoken to him about it and he has agreed to let J decide when she wants to come back home and spend remainder of his 2,weeks up here with her.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

That was a great day for you Louise Smile Yep get stocking up!!!

All out war will commence here fairly soon I expect. Had visit from the council, great news is, I'm going to get my new kitchen (more on that later), plus, the lovely man looked in my bathroom and wasn't happy with how the other people left it, months ago, so he's put in for a new bathroom too. Sadly, wouldn't get a walk in shower, but could do one from twin taps, and shower that basically hooks onto the wall. I'm happy with that too. He did say that for a walk in one, I can get in touch with occupational (whoever), they can assess and go from there. Fab news so far. We got chatting about the trees and the squirrel. He has informed me that the neighbour who owns his flat, and rents it out, is acting illegally. Two bedroom falt, with 6 adults and small child. I've been told this before, but didn't pay too much attention. Anyhow, I have put a letter in their door for the owner, informing him of what the council have told me, plus about the trees and the squirrels, so I'm expecting some knocking here at some point. One from the tenant (who speaks some English), and another from the owner, or his dad, who paid me a visit last year!! I'm ready for them now, as I'm seething about not being able to open my windows. Also enquired from someone about the branches being lobbed down, and I'm looking at a couple of hundred!!! Why should I have to pay someone, when they could easily do it, plus the trees belong to their side. Sorry, ranting here, but I am fuming about it all.

Hopeful, thinking of you all day today. xxxx

My friend's hubby had his op yesterday (brought forward by a day). Had a text from friend, so hopefully I'll hear something later. Not much news, as he was in surgery for 10 hours, and she didn't get to see the surgeon.

Having a really bad day here, or afternoon I should say. Boils down to my rent continuously going up and down, and no one giving me clear, precise reasons. Until today that is. After how phone calls to their office, on way home from work, I spoke to someone who said they have me down as working 24 hours, and no longer claiming working tax credits??? I assured them my circumstances have not changed since i began work. She advised me to call DWP, which I did, they couldn't help (or didn't want to). They told me to ring HM Revenue. On their system, they have all correct details, and told me to get back in touch with Housing Benefit. Now, I have to send in a form plus a wage slip (copies won't be accepted, or faxes). I am so mad at the moment, as it means I have to pay yet more rent, which I shouldn't have too, through no fault of my own. When I asked the lady at Housing Benefit where they got their info from, she said it was Revenue, when I queried this by saying, their system has the correct details, she was stumped for words!!! What on earth goes on in these offices? I am now patiently waiting on the phone to speak to someone else regarding the rent. I think I'm more annoyed over the fact, they are quick enough to take the money, but no proper explanations, and this could have sorted out weeks/months ago, had they given me reasons, instead of rubbish that spouts out of their mouths.

Ranting over folks.

Hello everyone and how are you?

Hazeleyes what a lot of stressful comings and goings. I am sorry to hear about your neighbour's sister and I am sure it helped to have a chat to you. The thing about the rent is ridiculous, talk about left hand right hand. I can't wait for you to get your new home improvements!!!!

Great to have Hopeful back Smile LRH is it your last couple of days at school? Sparkling how are things with you? Christian and Looby, hello to both of you.

Eldest rang last night, he is in the throes of packing up the house. He ranted and ranted at me (think he was tired, hungry, hot, cross and worried) I just kept calm, told him to focus on what was immediately before him (eat, shower, rest then put stuff into storage tomorrow and arrive here Saurday) Good job I stocked up the freezer!
