Open Door's Parenting Teenagers Project - Haringey (North London)

Open Door is a charity based in Haringey, North London. We started in 1976 as a young people's counselling service. We added the Parenting Teenagers Project in 2000 because many young people in difficulty do not accept when they have a problem or do not want to talk to a professional about it.

We are an experienced team of child and adolescent psychotherapists and we are interested in helping parents of adolescents (aged 12 to 21) who have any worries about their teenagers problems. We provide an ability to listen to a wide range of difficulties from mood and behaviour, relationship (personal and family), drug and alcohol, self-harm, mental illness and many more. We can offer advice but we are most interested in supporting parents to make the decisions they feel are right for their family. We welcome young people coming with their parents if they decide they want to come.
