Hopeful, I am so sorry that you didn't get good news. That must have come as such a shock for you, what with you being reassured by your GP beforehand. I am thinking of you, and sending a whopping huge hug to you. xxx

Hello one and all.

Sorry not been here much. I do think of you all when I'm not around.

School was awful this week, well the middle to the end anyway. Review letter didn't have enough information in it, and NO ONE helped me whatsoever. My teacher informed me that it wasn't his job to Tongue Out My boss was busy all day so briefly, (all of 2 mins) explained what needed doing. So, with a heavy heart, I sat at computer from 4.30 until 10pm, typing, deleting, typing, deleting, and so on, until I ended up saying s.. it. Handed it in the next day, and at the end of the day, I was told it was very good!!! My teacher wasn't there on Friday, and I didn't even know until I stepped into the classroom. Talk about non-communication with him. Anyhow, only one more week to go, and counting Smile

I hope everyone is okay, and keeping cool in this heat. Will pop back here later. xx

Good morning chaps and chapesses Smile another sunny one.

No, sparkling, I did not snore! but there were one or two raised eyebrows during the meditation bit when I put my feet up on the settee. What are you up to today?

Hazeleyes, that report sounds a right nightmare, although you ended up doing a really good job. Do you now feel that you would be more confident about it next time?

Hopeful, how are you feeling? LRH, just been saying hello to you on your thread.

According to the forecast there is sun today and tomorrow and then Tuesday is really lots cooler (hooray). Of course, half term is coming up and the Jubilee weekend. I really AM going to tackle that final cupboard and also there is some painting to be done inthe bathroom. I have a 15% voucher off Homebase, for the paint Smile I am such a bargain fiend.

I'm sorry the week at school wasn't good hazeleyes.

I'm very upset and managing to supress panic attacks.  I was reaching for the floor cleaner yesterday evening to quickly mop the bathroom floor and I have either pulled a muscle or the hamstring behind my right knee.

Terrified at the thought of going downstairs, and so much to do.

Putting gel on it and have rested as much as I can.

I don't even know if I can get to the car never mind drive.  A child will need to get the crutches from the boot for me.

Oh dear...

OUCH that's awful. Can you get down the stairs on your bottom? Can you bandage it up to support it? It's a great shame that you can't park the car nearer your door. Do you have to go out today?

Oh no, Sparkling! Hope you get better soon!

Hazeleyes, well done on your report thing!

I am fine, Louise, honestly. I've been more busy reassuring everyone else that I am (I've had friends come to me really upset about this, so obviously I don't have time to get upset myself!). Could you give me the legal advise people's details though, please (am too lazy to search, how bad is that!) as I will have to put something in place for the children just in case the worst happens (which it won't, but just in case).

Will get biopsy results on Thursday at lunchtime, then I'll know how to go forward.

Am loving the sunshine - but not having to finish this presentation stuff now.

Have a lovely Sunday all!!!! xx

Hopeful, am thinking of you, and will be on Thursday too. Everything crossed. I understand how worried you'll be feeling, but wait and find out everything first, then you'll be able to deal with it. One step at a time. xx

Sparkling, what on earth have you been up too? Can't leave you alone for five minutes, tut!!! I do hope the children are looking after you, so you're able to rest up. xx

Louise, I'll have my glasses at the ready for the final cupboard!!!

The weather is tooooo hot, so am looking forward to it cooling down a bit.

Yesterday I cut the grass, and put a plant in that a friend had given me. I also did the weeks washing, and today I tackled the ironing.

C is all geared up for going away next Friday/Saturday. It'll mean a whole week away from me, and he is really looking forward to it, whereas me? I don't think I could handle that length of time. It might be different of course if I had friends to go out with, but they are married, partnered up, have kids etc, so it'll be a week on my own totally. Even a night away, and I'm fretting/ bored etc, so ..........

The review Louise, yes, next year I'll be much more confident in doing one. That's if I have a job come September!!

Hope you're all okay. Enjoy the sunshine whilst it lasts. xx

Hi everyone, I am back from 4 days in Ibiza with my best bud!! Didn't want to say anything before, but we had the most amazing time - beautiful sunshine, fabulous cocktails and yes we did go to a club (albeit in our beach wear!!) very funny all women dressed to the nines in heels they couldn't dance in and me and friend danced our socks off til 5 in the morning!

Great to arrive back in the UK to this beautiful weather Smile

I hope everyone is well, yes you did cross my mind whilst I was away and I was thinking wouldn't it be lovely if we could find some funding to all go away for a few days break somewhere lovely as a treat for ourselves and our children Laughing

Hello everyone.

Anna, the holiday sounds lovely. Dancing your socks off in a bikini?? Quick where are those glasses Louise? Wink Did you leave your daughter at home alone? Then again, she is old enough isn't she? The big question is, did she party too?

My day not good at all I'm afraid. Won't bore you all with the details. Just hope it's okay tomorrow. Not a good night sleep either. Nodded off at 2 Surprised Woke to my fire alarm going 'bleep bleep'. There was a power cut at 3!! Drifted off again about 4, and alarm went off at 6.20. As you can imagine, I'm whacked.

Hope you're all okay. xx

Hello everyone

I had a day off yesterday as Anna is back. It was very hot so wasn't very lively. I have a bench in the garden IN THE SHADE

Glad you had a good holiday Anna. I am putting my glasses very firmly away in their case when it comes to dancing till 5am Smile

Hazeleyes, what a horrid night's "sleep" you had. I havent slept well during the heat either so have lots of sympathy. The good news it that it is cooler from today and at least you have a half day at work and not a full one. So is C definitely going for a week? Have you got some plans, do something nice for yourself as well as jobs, won't you?

Sparkling how are you? How is your knee?

Hopeful I know you are working hard on your presentation, take care of yourself, and thinking of you....

LRH things are hard for you at the moment, are you looking forward to half term?

I hope you had a lovely time Anna.  Jill and I used to dance the nights away.  Had visions of starting that up again...

I can now do stairs.  Managed to get out the house and up to the car today.

Its cooler here today, even in the sun.

Listened to stories of those who saw the torch this morning.  Although there was disabled parking spots, they were only announced when you got there.  My friend went to Beaumaris, was there at 6am and had the last disabled spot.  Her son (9) plays in the band, which is another reason they were able to park.  Hopefully I'll see some photos at some point.  So glad it was sunny.

Presentation went well this morning. One more to go, and then this module is done, hurrah!

Have had another problem added to my poor little shoulders (only joking about my poor little shoulders - I am not feeling sorry for myself, I promise!) - have a friend who is very very very clinically depressed and he chose me to unload last night. To be fair, because of his depression we're not telling him about my other little problem. I can share his with some more friends (Hurrah for friends!), but it was a bit heavy last night.

I have a day off tomorrow, which will be nice, because my mum is over. :-)

Hazeleyes, I hope your day tomorrow is heaps better!!!

Big hugs alround x

Hi everyone. Lots cooler today, though still hot. (not complaining honest)!!! Louise, hope you had nice day off, good thinking not doing anything too lively. No dancing for you then?Cool

Glad you're able to get around a bit more Sparkling, but I do hope you're also not doing too much!

C is still going away, and I'm still not sure of when he'll be back. Personally I do want him home with me by Wednesday/Thursday, though won't really know until I hear from friend I guess. Also I don't want to spoil his week. I'm being selfish maybe in wanting to spend some of the hols with him Frown He's had his 'check' lists written since last week, what he is taking in the case, clothes wise, what he is taking to entertain himself. (My flat will be empty by the sounds of it, hehe)  Not sure what I will do yet, but it will give me chance to have a thorough clean indoors, hopefully sort the garden too, and once that is done, just.....  I don't know what. Was hoping to do the kitchen floor, but funds are stopping me again, so that's out of the window.

My tax form has arrived, so I'll be on here at some point asking what to put whereFrown

That's good that your mum is here, Hopeful. Ooh I bet you could have done without your friend's troubles. These things always come in heaps. Well done on the presentation.

Hazeleyes you're not selfish wanting to spend time with C, just see what happens, even if the whole week is planned then it might not last that long. Tax form...do you mean your working tax credit summary? Don't worry they are quite straightforward and we have a sparkly person on here who is good at tax things Wink if it is hard.

Sparkling (are your ears burning?)glad you are managing to get around a bit better.

I have been to counselling, just two clients today. I have got a new rotary drier in the garden. Am just thinking that a selection of jubilee bunting and flags on it would horrify youngest Tongue Out

Ooohhh, you are awful Louise, but I like itSmile

Yoooooooo Hoooooo Sparkling. It's the Annual Declaration I have, and part one has me flummexed already! I've put a cross in the Income Support section, as I claimed this until Sept 5th 2011. Sept 6th I went on JS, and then of course finished that when I started work in November. Part 2 not too sure about. It might help of course if I put my glasses on, as I cannot see the form properly in this light! I will 'tax' your brain at some point with this though Wink Knowing me, I'll fill it in wrong, and then my tax credits will be zero!!!

Ah, the dreaded tax credit forms! I've been ignoring mine for two weeks already - but then it says it's not due till July anyway..... Last year I just rang them and said nothing's changed and that worked.... Maybe that'll be ok again?

I am feeling ok. What'll be will be. There's nothing I can do for the friend, just listen when needed. Depression is a strange thing, because there's no proper reason for it that people recognise - not even the ones who have it. Other friends have been very supportive.

Had a busy day, but tomorrow I am spending with my mum. She wants to go into town, so that's what we'll do.

Good night everyone! x

Good morning one and all.

Hope everyone has cooooooooled down.

Have a lovely day with your mum, Hopeful. Have you got someone going with you to the appointment tomorrow? Just a tip, my friend found it handy to take her mobile and record what the doctor said to her as it can be hard to take everything in at once, esepcially if there has to be a treatment plan.

Hazeleyes, I know that forms can be a nightmare, the problem this year is the change from IS to working tax credit.

I am meeting my friend later. Her partner is in court tomorrow for a public affray type of offence. My son is off on a two day camping thing with college, his rucksack is stuffed with ring-pull tins of beans and fruit and cereal bars.

Hazeleyes - plenty of time to do the form.  We can do it next week while C's away (keep you occupied)  Maybe we can have a thread Smile  to complete them?  Must be a few with them now.

Don't do any crossing outs or n/a's as I think it asks us not to.  Mine is on the desk, and I've not looked at it properly yet.  I have that to do and C's form for DLA.  Cub camp Friday/Saturday, so I'll be looking at it on Sunday.

Off to work.  Please cross fingers in that it won't thunder.

sparklinglime, did it thunder? it's still gorgeous down south Smile Just a shame having to work in an office - this time last week I was riding the waves with a glass of sangria on a little boat back from a luxurious little island - Formentera, where I had spent the day cycling about and swimming. hazeleyes, I hope you get a better nights sleep tonight. I must have missed something, is C going away for a few days?? How exciting for him, but also for you! I know it can be nerve wracking, but don't spend your whole time cleaning or doing tax forms, pretend you are 18 again and free!!

Hi everyone. Just a quickie.

Hopeful, good luck for tomorrow. I would also ask for copies of everything, so I'm sure you wouldn't be the only one, and they won't think you're a patient from hell. It's your body, and you have every right to know the ins and outs of what is going on. I will be thinking of you. So glad your friend is going with you. Always good to have two pairs of ears too, when taking in important stuff. Take care won't you. Loads of hugs. xx

Louise, you have a couple of days child free too then? I'm sure you'll have lots to keep you busy when youngest is away. Hope he has a good time.

Anna, yes C is going away on Friday to my sisters. Not sure when he is returning, though I'm hoping a friend can take me to collect him on the Wednesday or Thursday. If not, then I'm looking at Saturday really Cry His case is packed, and boy oh boy, honest to god, the only thing that isn't going is the kitchen sink!!!  Going to look at where you were in a moment. Bet you wish you were back there. Will you go again, or try a different place next time?

Sparkling, hope you're okay. I nearly freaked out earlier, my mobile got wet. It was in a carrier bag, and I had put C's water from school in too. Nearly home, and realised the top of the water hadn't been screwed up tight, so it had leaked all over Yell Put sim card in an old phone, and hadn't got all contacts in it. I guess some are not saved on the sim, but the phone whatever. No idea about any of these things. Anyhow, put my phone and battery in the airing cupboard, and hey presto, now working again. Boy, did I panic.

Am off to bed soon, so hope you'll all have a good evening. We've had rain here this evening, but still hot.

Hello everyone

Just popped in here to say that my thoughts are with you today, Hopeful. I am sure you are not the patient from hell, you DO need to know all the ins and outs of any treatment you might need...and if you do need treatment then you will be allocated a Breast Care nurse, they are usually absolutely fantastic and very supportive so you are not just left with clinical clinic appointments, if that makes sense. We are all right beside you.

Hazeleyes, I accidentally threw nearly half a cup of tea over my mobile yesterday, so SNAP. Mine's ok as well, phew.

I am amazed how much I am missing youngest, as he really does lead his own life these days and goes for lots of sleepovers. The house is quiet.....but he will be back today covered in mud.
