There were both, sparkling, but I will still have to keep on his back to make sure everything is done.

How is everyone today?

The good things: the sun is shining, I have a friend coming over.

The bad things: I have to clear up the mess before she does as 'little people' don't ever keep to their promises.

The really worrying thing: Son No3 went to catch the train, came back saying he went in 'the back way' (I think he means he jumps the barrier/fence somewhere to avoid buying a ticket) and someone was there so he couldn't now take the train, but refused to explain this to me properly. Very moody, too. Big sigh. Any ideas of how to get him to talk????

Hope all others are fine! :-)

Ah Hopeful, you know that teens dont talk till they are ready...and that they are only likely to talk when the pressure is off and you are doing something unrelated, and then you talk about something completely different and then POW ask them about it when they are off guard yes

Oh my, what a day.

Never mind working today and tomorrow as 'new' girl is off (she called in this morning for a while so we did have a laugh).

Had made arrangements for one of the lads to be in the office tomorrow as my son was having an interview for college.  My reminder when off at 1pm and the interview was today...  I had an hour to contact the school, as I'd told them tomorrow.  They had to find son, son had to go and gather his art work, I had to come home, grab his letter and his statement and assessments (all ready **phew**), stop off in Asda for passport photo (which college asked for) and then drive 10 miles negotiating stupid queues at a couple of garages to get him to college.

It's at the college where eldest was. Daughter was home today, so got her to text son to meet us, and he went with C to reception and took him to the interview.

I have a headache.

Got in at 5.10, have had cereal, yelling at children as they'd not had tea and in ten minutes have to leave for Cubs and Scouts.  I do hope I remember the boxes of mini eggs for them....

I'm so glad it's Friday tomorrow.

Oh sparkling it's awful when those mad panics happen.....hope you are Ok today and survived Cubs, and remembered the mini eggs! Are Cubs and Scouts shut over Easter?

How is everyone today? I saw eldest yesterday and it was lovely but....he has a beard, how can I have a CHILD with a BEARD??? surprise I don't know if I mentione that he and friends have had a book published, an anthology of their work, he has contributed two poems, he gave me a copy of the book as a Mother's Day prezzie.

Hope everyone has a good day

Hahahaha!  Both oldest and C have tried the beard laugh  C's being so fine looked awful and it took me and oldest to "persuade" him to shave it off.  He doesn't like shaving...  Well, it does come under personal hygiene cool

Hello and good morning and welcome to the first day of the Easter hols.Hope everyone is feeling OK.

LRH that's worrying for you about the wages when you're counting on them, hope you get sorted on Monday.

Sparkling, boys and personal hygiene, they either seem to be a complete stranger to soap and water or never out the bathroom. Youngest has just come in moaning about a spot on his nose, I have reassured him that it is not as visible as he thinks, as he has his nose jammed up against the mirror whereas the general public will be several feet away. He said "Phew, so no-one's going to say to me at the shop 'what time are you both working until?' " HAHA!

How is everyone today? Hazeleyes? Hopeful? Trying hard, haven't heard from you in ages.

Am blrrgh - need to go to get petrol, but am not very optimistic. why do people go mad over the smallest thing?

Just had flowers from 'the man' - not good, I finished that a few weeks ago because I can't deal with the distance and the intensity that created when I saw him. :-(

Hope everyone else is ok though. Will stop moaning, I promise!

Still nice to have the flowers though wink Good luck with the petrol, you may have more of a chance at a bigger one like the ones attached to the supermarkets

Hello everyone. Not been on here at all really, but I will soon catch up. Been feeling a bit down in the dumps, though not even sure why. Nothing has changed, so the reason is totally unclear to me. Am glad the holidays are here too, but so much to do indoors, as I've done absolutely nothing, and haven't really caught up with things since the operation. One thing or another, so it's been left, which in itself depresses me! Hospital on Tuesday for results, so with that looming, maybe that has added to my mood. Possibly. C is great, doing well at school, and home, though his bedroom is a lot to be desired at the moment, but can't really moan as the whole flat is the same! I've half done the living room, and had to have a sit down, tut. Need a broom up my backside I think! Once it's all done, hopefully I'll feel better, then I can play some stuff with C. He's done all of his holiday homework, so have banned the word school for two weeks, yeahhh.

lrh, I hope you sort your wages out. Horrid when something like that happens.

Hopeful, sorry your relationship didn't work out. Long distance was going to be tricky wasn't it?

Sparkling, you had a hectic day too, and on top of that, cubs!! Hope you get to relax a bit over the weekend.

Louise, how's your son's mammoth spot, hehe. Bless him. Glad you caught up with your eldest. That was a lovely present for you. Am sure you're bursting with pride, and so you should be. Well done to him.

Slowly but surely am battling through the mess in here. Living room is done, so at least I'm able to sit in a clean room now smiley Second washing has just finished, looks like rain, so will just have to put up with a chinese laundry room today frown Giving myself a good talking too to try and shake this wierd mood of mine. C is busy tidying, I'm having a PJ day, and after lunch will have a game of tennis with C on the WII. Won't tell him yet in case I change my mind, ssshhhh! My low mood could also be to do with the fact, even though we're always together, I haven't given him much of my time since the op. Firstly I wasn't up to much, then he was poorly, back to work etc, evenings just fly by, what with dinners, dishes, baths, then it's time for bed. I'm looking forward to just chilling a bit with him. The TA I work with said we'd meet up in the holidays with some others. None have younger kids, so C won't have a playmate or anything, but I think he'll love it all the same. Not sure on Friday friend yet, as to what she'll be doing. Haven't had much time for a catch up with her either.

Hope you're all having a good Saturday. The weather has certainly changed hasn't it?

Have been to have a massage, feeling much more peaceful now. :-) oh, and I have a full tank of petrol.

Sorry you're a bit down, Hazeleyes. There doesn't need to be a reason, sometimes it's just the way it is. Get yourself a little treat - chocolate/glass of wine/flowers/hot bath - just to lift yourself a little. Sending you hugs, too xxxx

Hope everyone has had a good day. I'm looking for some inspiration and think you are the people to help me.

Im making a DVD photo slide show of J's first four years and am looking for songs to put on it. I currently have: Never Alone, Little Wonders, Ordinary Miracle, My Wish, Next to Me and Jar of Hearts. Jar of Hearts is currently J's favourite song!

Wasn't sure if I should post this here, so if I wasn't supposed to sorry! x

Hello Looby, nice to see you 'over here' in the chat room. Your post is fine here, no rules on where to post smiley That's a lovely idea of yours, doing a slide show. Will have a think, and hopefully come up with something, (don't hold your breath though, not very good at these sort of things). x

Thanks ladies. I did one for his first year, because obviously you take thousands of photo's then. We were watching it the other day and he wanted to know why there were no 'big boy' photo's of him on it. So I decided to do another one. It keeps me busy of an evening, although sometimes looking at some of the photo's makes me a bit sad! Where has my baby gone? It's school decision day in two weeks, surely he can't be old enough to go to school this year!
