aww ... we wernt meant to have a shower but we just put one in one day before i was born! haha! so as far as i know theres always been a shower there! lol

my son dont like showers too much ... he will have one but he has to go in back wards and he has to be incontrol of it! lol ... think it's more of the water goin on his face more than anything else! lol he has to wear his goggles when i wash his hair! haha! bless him so funny! :D

the crispy cakes turned out well :D WHOOP! :D crispys, malteasers AND marshmallows :D whoop! :D yum yum yum! :D took 8 round to me brothers tonight but there pretty tastey! :D lil man added hundreds and thousands on top too! :D so they are PRETTY! and TASTEY! :D hehe we make a great cooking team me and my son :D

today was an odd day and still is! lol since i woke up this morning i have been convinced that it's sunday! lol and even now i'm thinking it's sunday and everything! lol grr! think it's cuz we use to go round to me brothers on a sunday and we'v gone round tonight instead and so it's a bit messed up in me head! lol hopefully i'll be living sunday as sunday and not gettin up and thinking i got to get him off to nursery and all that waiting out side for the bus that will never come cuz they dont run on sundays! haha!

as i said we went to me brothers today he moved in to his house a few month ago and are now fully in and sorted out so they (him and his girlfriend) held a curry night :D so he made a fantastic veggi curry with rice for me and me mum and then a lamb rogan josh and a beef vindaloo for the others! he also did some bombay potatoes, nan breads and for starters he had the popadoms with home made yoghurt dip (the one with cucumber in to cool your mouth down!) he did a REALLY spicey garlic dip and he ended up buying mango dip as it was 2 pots for £1 and it was £1 to buy a mango! lol but they were still really nice! :D my brother is a good cook :D we'v always said that he's got the girly geans and i'v got the blokey geans! lmao! (he's the one in to looking good were-as i'll get up brush me hair and that'll do for me! haha)

WOW! my son has never had his face painted he's never wanted it and the last time i stood in the cue for it to be done he screamed blue murder when we got there and he didnt want it done after standing there for half hr! lol KIDS! but i got some face painting things a few weeks back as when i was at the NSPCC doin that thing i did then lol i should have been facepainting but the entertainer got all her stuff out before me so i wasnt goin to say anything as i'm not really that good at it lol so i decided today that i was goin to paint his face i didnt tell him what i was doin i just said right come here and sat him down and went for it! lol and turned him in to a dog :D i had to force him to go down stairs and show me mum and step dad and tried to get him to keep his hands off it but he's a bit silly sometimes and wont show off so i ended up holding his hands apart and off his face so he can show his mamar and grandad :D and i managed to get a photo of it :D whoop! :D (it was washed off 10 mins later! lol)

any ways TV isnt goin to be sorted till TUESDAY :( but least i got one in me bed room! lol the filters have blown up basicly so there sending us 2 new ones and then we got to send the old ones back lol so we dont get charged for them!

zzzzzzzzzzz goin sleep now i had a bit to drink tonight so feeling a bit tipsy lol :D whoop! zxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzxzzz

nighty night night all xxxx

hello hatz..

You should start a blog if you haven't already and copy you post daily to it.. this one is free at myoper (click on sign up) there are many others, google does one too but I've not really used that one, you can post pictures too and lots of other stuff.

Then it's all in one place and maybe when your son is older he can read it and see what was happening when he was a kid.

This is mine.

What do you think, hatz? Mind you, we still want you to post on here, too.

Re showers: I have to put a time limit on how long my boys are allowed to spend in there or they would be in there all day. Both of them are very keen on their appearances and one of the cruellest things I can do is to hang a sheet over the big mirror over the mantlepiece Tongue out It puzzles me greatly because neither myself nor their father has ever been like that. I wonder if it is my "fault", in that I was so keen to give them a sense of high self esteem that when they were small I constantly told them how gorgeous they were, and still do, occasionally Wink

The others might become more like that as they want dates, sparkling lime, I know I have said both my boys are vain, and they are, but to be fair the eldest would never go in the shower until he got interested in girls, which was in his mid teens. The youngest has always been fastidious though.

My daughter is very good at getting in showers.  Has an aversion to mirrors though... which after seeing what some of the girls were wearing in their Ball, I'm reminding myself that this is far better.

Hello hatz

That was a long time to go to sleep with the light on. My eldest (who has now left home) would regularly fall to sleep reading and I would tiptoe in, take his glasses off, remove the book and turn the light off.

Your hairdo wil pep you up, I always look on the floor and think they haven't cut much off so why do I look so different? Smile

Yes, chickens come from town, your little chap is quite right. That reminds me of one of my boys singing a Christmas carol when they were little "Away in a manger, no crisps in his bed" !!!!

haha! no crisps for a bed! lol

my yr 4 spellings have come and haunted me yet again! haha! ... lick ... what's everyones day been LICK! hahahaha! well least you all know what i meant! lol (it's just taken me 4 atempts to get meant right then! :O omg! lol) yeh i been horibly tired recently :( i really dont like it but at least next week i can catch up a bit cuz i'v got no more little miss to look after and i think were both thankfull of that! lol but there we go! a fussy little maddam she is! she turned to me and said (randomly!) if you were nice and thin you'd be able to run and do sports.... but mrs for your info! it's not about being thin! i dont like being thin, i'v been thin before and i am MUCH happier now that i'm a reasonable size 18! and a mega 4 stone lighter than what i was at the begining of the yr :O :D (plus i was a size 20 then too!) but i just went on sayin it's not about being thin it's not about being chubby it's not about being fat! it's about being HAPPY! so long as your happy with the way you are thats what matters the most. you can be thin and be happy with what you look like, you can be chubby and be happy you can be fat and be happy it's not what others make of you ... as i say if you dont like me you know where the front door is! i told her mum that she has to talk to her about people and peoples feelings and when to say somethings and when not to say somethings ... her mum just went oh right ok then! :O shocking! ah well i dont have to see her or hear her HIGH pitched voice again! :) whoop! as much as i loved having her for the entire summer holiday it really has drained me out! lol

well my son turned to me and said mummy how many days left nursery? i said well it depends how you look at it son! ... you have monday, tuesday, wednesday and thrusday at nursery BUT! ..(good but!lol) ... wednesday your only in 1/2 day and thursday were going off to cadburry's world (well actually said chocolate factory!) and he was like :O i got 3 days left so said yes! and he went to bed a happy boy! lol

so cant beleive that he's only got 3 days left at nursery and thats it no more nursery and then it's on to school

You can just concentrate on him, rather than him and the little girl. Yes, I knew what 'lick' meant, and it made me chuckle Laughing

What are your plans for the weekend? Looks like I've got a lego weekend. My son is keen to re-build his vehicles. This time though, I shall put them up high, so his friends don't break them AGAIN AND AGAIN

Hello hatz, you did right to tell the mum, and it sounds good for you to have finished your childcare duties. Well done on losing that weight, it is very difficult and the main thing is to be healthy and happy. Only a few days left at nursery now for your little boy and then school beckons. Surprised

Hope you have a good weekend, what are you up to?

I really did feel like i should tell her mum cuz it would end her up in trouble... even if she did turn to me and say i'm only telling the truth ... what do you say back to that when she's been brought up in a very tight christian family and told not to lie! haha! (yup you really cant say anything to her!!) let the parents deal with it is what i say! lol!!!!

today i'm not really up to anything at all!  ... ~NOTHING!~ :O lol parents have gone away till tomorrow and i really couldnt  think of anything to do at  all!  (poor child on you been framed! ... got all her pressents ready for her birthday and she's all excited house decorated etc ... it's not till tomorrow! haha! oops! that made me laugh!) well as i say parents have gone away this weekend and were all away next weekend. but this weekend i had nothing planned just had to pay papers and a bit of shopping lol so off we went up to tesco's actually walked up the from town (bout a mile and half!) and walked round tesco's got food and what not lol and then realised it was dinner time so treated my son to dinner up there too! saw his nursery teacher there too! (dont think he reconised her as she wasnt in uniform! lol) came home sorted the shoppin out and animals and then went and made cakes! :) got to 3pm and was actually rather board so decided to pop in to town for a few mins and ended up down the barba's gettin his hair chopped :) so now it looks nice and neat ready for school :) whoop! picked up a few more bits for tea tonight and jumped on bus and came home!

lol my son just went to go toilet and came running out shouting mum come here! come see so said what!?? (we found a HUGE spider in there this morning so thought it might be that again! lol) but nope! lol he turnes to me and says ITS GREEN! lol so said whats green? he says water green! lol i put in one of them systum blocks cuz the toilet was gettin a bit yucky! lol and it was a green block i put in! lol

any ways i'm goin to get goin :) just spotted ice cream van go up the road so am thinkin of another treat to end the day with :)

Hello hatz

You sound to have had a good day, don't forget that the house has to be A1 for when your parents get hoome, remember what happened last time Embarassed Your son has a smart new haircut for school.

The loo-block thing: when my youngest was a baby I had a part time job cleaning a church (it was good cos I could just take him with me and did not need childcare) anyway the toilets were disgusting so after getting them clean, myself and my friend put new blue loo blocks in the cistern. The toilet roll holders were those huge ones with locks, it was explained to me that it was so the loo rolls did not get stolen. Anyway the day after putting the loo blocks in, the water was not blue so we climbed up and looked in the cisterns and....no loo blocks. Were these stolen as well?

Alisoncam your day has been nice and peaceful, which is what I think you need right now!

haha! as if someone really stole the blocks! hahaha! eww they'd be really slimey! haha! i dont know!... me mum use to clean church's too and took me with her, then i got invited to the church play group so i got dropped of there and me mum cleaned the church! lol

yeh i supose yesterday was a busy day still felt it was boring tho! and i'll swap any day to build with lego! haha! i love the stuff! so dose my son but i had to put all his stuff away when i was lookin after the girl cuz she just chucked it everywhere even tho she'll be 6 in nove! grr! so i thought i'm puttin it away to save it being messed up chucked every where and everything else! (on that note i can get it back out! whoop!)

fun times! lol ... i'm heading of swimmin today with the sunnyboy! lol who keeps sayin he's tired which in turn is makeing me tired! :O :( lol well just lookin at the time were still sat here in our jarmers so better go get sorted out!

chat to you all laters! lol xxx

The case of the missing loo blocks, lol

Another quiet day for me, well apart from C asking every 5 mins if I'm going to help with the lego! Managed to give him a hairwash, without any fuss whatsoever. It's like a ritual, hairwash every Sunday. He has said, as his birthday falls on a Sunday, (two weeks today) can he not have it done, or it'll be the worst birthday he's ever had, haha. I have compromised, and said, ok, we'll do it on the Saturday.

Have got lamb in oven, slowly cooking, and in between I'm going to try and pin his school trousers, peel the pots, parsnips and veggies, have a go with the lego, and maybe start writing his name in school shoes, plimsoles, uniform etc.

Hope you enjoy the swimming hatz. Louise, I will ask around for the loo blocks!!! Laughing

Hatz the computer whizz! Wink

That's fantastic re the uniform, that will be a big help moneywise.

Just thinking about the DVDs, car boots sales are a cheap source of new ones BUT.....Undecided it would be great to have a swap service (obviously not your favourites as you want to hang on to them), and just thinking about the school notice board or even a card in the post office window. My friend who works in a charity shop says that children's videos are their best sellers, they are given quite a few as people tend to have a DVD machine these days and not a video recorder and have to give their tapes away when they no longer have a machine. I have bought some really cheap videos through ebay for the same reason.

yeh like you say not many people have video players! .... mine packed up last yr! lol and so were down to dvds! lol but oh yeh bout the swaps! lol wonder if any ones got any swaps goin on some where?!? .. we have a lot of nearly new sales round here too so shall have to see whats what! lol

(yes i was bout to go home and leave my son at nursery! haha!) shows what wave length i was on! haha

well i'm goin to head off now! time for bed lol got a long  day ahead of me tomorrow goin to try cook something in the slow cooker! :D first time i'v used it so i dont really know what it's goin to be like lol. got to get my washing sorted out lol not washed any clothes since fri so kinda running low on things now! haha! oops! and then bout 3:30 my son's got an eye test! :D ... he despratly wants to have a pair of glasses! lol considering that me me mum and me step dad all wears glasses he wants a pair too! lol bles him!!!

Hello hatz

The fruit box is a great idea, I expect they will really appreciate something different. You spotted the BOGOF thing going on at the supermarket, sounds like they have cottoned on to what people want to buy.

Hope your son gets on Ok at the eye test. Both my boys have worn glasses from the age of about six. They have contact lenses now they are so much older. I really wish at least one of them had inherited my eyesight instead of their father's. I am 50 and just starting to need reading glasses in poor light so am very lucky.

Good luck with the slow cooker, there are some fab recipes on the Net but you need first of all to get to grips with using it for a few times

well my son's developed the boys vision in our family! lol not needed glasses till there bout 30 odd! seem's it's like that with all the lads in our family! lol were-as us girlies i'v had glasses since i was 7 went thru a stage where my sight was fine and didnt need them but i felt so lost with out them! but then 4 yrs ago just after i had him i couldnt see a thing! (well i could but it was really blurey) so i ended up wearing glasses again! :D whoop! (sorry i like wearing glasses!) the eye test that they do for 4 yr olds now is matching so she holds a card up and he's got to find the letter on his board. but he was gettin on so well with that and was even sayin the letters that she moved him on to the next stage of the test which is for 7yr olds! they have a single line of letters and she was pointing to them and he said every one of them :O she said that she's had a few 7yr olds that havent been able to do that and have had to still use the matching systum :O and my son's only 4! so from todays test he's been put on a yrly program! :D whoop! at 4yrs old where they say every 6 months he's been put on a yearly program!

the slow cooker went well :) in the book the sauce i made is called the best and easiest pasta sauce ... i wouldnt have really called it the best but it was pretty good! lol but yes i'v now use the slow cooker and goin to have another attempt tomorrow! :D duno what i'm goin to make but there we go i'll come up with something! :D

as for the rest of tomorrow it's his last day at nursery (actual day! lol) so taking the fruit box in when drop him off cuz after that i'm poppin over to coalville to the college see if i can get on any courses to help with what i want to do in life! hopefully i can! ... well i really want to! then back to ashby pick monsteroo up and back to home! lol Thursday were off to the chocolate factory whoop whoop! :D yum yum! lol then on friday were off away for the weekend :) and back on monday! so i'v got a few things planned! :D so hopefully will be good :D .... should be good... (not for long tho! the staff remembered i had them :( so didnt had to had them back :(!!! haha!) but they all got sheared out between all 40 of us and the bus driver! lol so each got pack of buttons, curlywherly and dairy milk! lol brought my son a groilla key ring! haha! it's so cool! me step dad a HUGE bar of freshly made fruit and nut, me mum a bar of orange Bornville, my son also got a plastic cadburry mug, then for my self a 5pack of wispas for £1.50 :D and a purple cadburry mug! :D whoop! so cheap in there shop! i was expecting it to be more expencive but nope! totaly oppersite! :D which was good news for me lol!!!

well as you might be able to tell lol! i'm back from camping! :D wicked time watching land rovers racing round courses and seeing all the different types there are, some that people have made, some that people have brought and somethat have been done up to the EXTREAM! lol but was really good! :D Leicestershire and rutland land rovers (if want to see our team! lol you can find them on FB and EBAY!) but we had a brill time! missed my bed sooooooooooo much tho! haha! slept in a little tent in an oraning of the side of the caravan since friday! 1 night my son slept in the caravan cuz it was too cold so told me parents to put the spare bed up cuz wernt having him out side in that cold again! lol i didnt mind being out side cuz just slept in me coat, joggers and thick socks plus my dovet and the spare that was about twice as big as mine! haha!!! but last night he said he wanted to be back in with me so we were back to being squashed back up in the tent! lol but there we go! lol! was good to get away and it wasnt too bad apart from one point being away with the parents! lol and in such a small space! yesterday i duno what was wrong with them but they just seemed really pee'd off with something and kept shouting at my son while i was tryin to work out what was wrong with him so i just grabbed him and decided to get out of there for an hr! i'd saved me self a tenner so cuz it was nearly dinner time we went for a walk up to the food van and grabbed some dinner. as we walked out the caravan and around the park i looked up at the sky and there was a HUGE rainbow that you could see streched right across the top of the hill :) it was lovely and so clear you could see all the colours and they hadn't run in to each other :) it was as tho some one painted the colours in :) ... so we went to the van and back to the caravan and the air seemed to have cleared :) which was a good thing!

but now i'm back home and i'm goin to go get my head on my bed which i have missed SOOOOOOOOOOOO much! and i;m goin to catch up on the 2nd thing i'v missed  a lot! ... big brother! i'v heared a few things so i'm goin to go see whats what! lol)

Hello hatz

Glad you enjoyed the chocolate factory trip, my boys have been to Bourneville with their grandparents years ago, and enjoyed it too.

You must have been cold in the tent, even with all those layers on! My eldest has been to Leeds Fest and come home shattered. The rainboq sounds beautiful.

Did you catch up with Big Brother? I watch it all the time!

Which day does your son start at school?

just had another thought! ... recently my son's stopped pretty much eating :( i really dont know what to do with him now for 2 days on a trot he's refused lunch and has gone from 8am (breakfast) till 6pm (tea) with out any food :O no matter what i'v done to convince him to have something he's just not bothered. i dont know if i'm just worrying too much cuz he's only 4 and should be eating at least 3 times a day and that but i just dont know what else to do, i cant force him to eat, i'v given him options, i'v told him whats for dinner put it on plate, i'v said no to things like ice creams, sweets, crisps, biscuits and all that but he's just not bothered about it :( ???????????

any ideas???????
