The first of December! I have only just got used to writing 2013 on things and now it's nearly 2014 Surprised

Am I allowed to mention the "C" word yet?

Hope everyone is Ok this morning, it's still a bit dark out there but the birds are singing so they must be able to see the sun coming up. Sparkling, I was very glad you had a trip round the Victorian Christmas event. There is a Dickensian Christmas weekend not far from here. Last time I went, I spent most of the time eating roast chestnuts and having mulled wine so I have given it a wide berth this year Cool

It's my turn to help with the toddler creche in church today, this includes potty duty so am definitely not going to wear my best outfit! What's everyone up to today? Any trees going up? Any nice dinners in the offing?

I'm delighted to say I'm wearing heels, although my budget really isn't up to all this spending!

The jeans I had bought are now about two sizes too big.  Not a good look really.

The children are decorating the living room.  It was rather frightening coming down to it really.  But there we go.  Less than five weeks and they can come down...

Can you tell I'm looking forward to the spring?

I hope all was well with the creche Louise.

OOh get you, sparkling, with your jeans hanging off you and high heels on, sounds exciting and how fab that you have lost a jeans size or maybe even two, that will be all the gymming, so where are you going in your fancy gear?

Kiera you had a bonus night out, glad you felt ok to do this Laughing

The creche was actually fun, surprisingly, and I will do it again. Youngest has swanned off for a meal with another reprobate so I am going to have last week's leftover lasagne (NB, it has been in the freezer!)

Morning,

I'm being badgered to put the tree up but am resisting at the moment, will think about it for next weekend. Started the dreaded 'C' shopping on saturday and did quite well. Finally got round to getting myself a laptop, a second hand one from ebay my dad helped me find so fingers crossed it works ok! I'll be able to access the internet better then, instead of struggling with my phone!! Also H needs it for her homework.

I think we're all over our virally thing thankfully, although my tummy feels a bit dodgy this morning.....please no!

Glad you got to go out at the weekend Kiera. I have a couple of xmas nights out coming up which I'm looking forward too.

The xmas market sounds nice sparkling, there was one near here at the weekend but I missed the advertising so didn't realise it was on until too late. Was thinking about going to Hyde park to the xmas wonderland thing, has anyone else been before?

hi all, good to see everyone having fun with the Christmas tree, I still have to start and can't even begin. I am shell shocked.

I was in Court today and was told I had not accepted the findings of the judge, the children having witnessed abuse but not received it. They can't be scared if they haven't received it, therefore I must be emotionally abusing them, because they do believe it. Therefore they should be in care, was the conclusion. I am really sick of it all.

Oh skyflower that is terrible, if they have seen abuse then of course they can be scared! Is the court hearing over for now or have you got more soon?

PQ hope your tummy is ok? Well done on starting the shopping!

I seem to have been so busy today. Managed a posh coffee though, heh heh. Plus saw the chiropodist, did several errands in town, met with some friends at a cafe, had blood tests done (just routine) and got some new reading glasses (NOT Edna Everidge, you will be glad to know)

Had a run-in with youngest re his bedroom, which did not go down well, though it got tidied, with much grumbling. However he has lent me his Asda discount card, on which I am named, so going shopping in the morning.

How is everyone tonight? Am enjoying Celebrity Jungle.

Morning everyone

Skyflower, I hope you managed a decent amount of sleep. What is supposed to be happening next? Can you speak to your solicitor?

PQ sorry to hear you are poorly, are you any better today? There are a lot of germs about.

Sally you had a very busy day, did the stir fry turn out ok? I am doing one on Friday, have got some veg and beansprouts and plan to use some bacon.

Yesterday, I did Asda with son's discount card, plus counselling and a trip to the doctor's (routine but it was amazing that I had some blood tests on Monday at 4pm and the results of half of them were on my records by Tuesday 10.30 am wow) Something really weird happened yesterday as well....the window cleaner came and I opened the door to pay him, we were chatting and I mentioned that my bad foot had improved a lot, he said my feet are shocking, and took his trainer and sock off and waved his foot in the air at me to show me his deformed toes...this is while he is still standing at my front door. I had to giggle at what the lady opposite would have thought if she looked out the window!!

Look forward to hearing your news and how your day is going

Kiera, thank you,  some judges just believe children should visit no matter what and rule in certain ways. Don't know if it has to do with recession and the belief that fathers might stop paying when they get no visits, or that it has to do with the pushing forward of Fathers Rights. Children's rights are taken away. Yes there will be another investigation Louise and already it is ruled they can only report, so they will have no power. I will keep doing what is best for the children, stay calm, make decisions now and discuss my decisions. Hopefully it will be seen as very mature actions. I have cried so much and can't give up.

How is everyone this afternoon?

Louise the stir fry was lovely we did not have beansprouts i forgot to get some, mostly veg, meat and noodles.  That was quick with your results, mine usually take over a week.  It's funny when total strangers tell you personal info, that happens to me alot, when my kids were young they used to say "why was that lady/man talking to you".

Skyflower i hope your solicitor can put your mind at rest, it does seem crazy how different judges make there decisions.  Would it help to write it all down then it want be floating round your head?

PQ how did you get on at the doctors today?

keira how is your son?, is everyone else o.k?

Had a celebratory lunch today at an all you can eat place, i'm stuffed. Singing tonight it will be the last rehearsal as the nativity is on Sunday, loads happening there as we are turning it into a winter wonderland, they may even have a snow machine coming which the kids will love.

Ooh that sounds exciting Sally, how did the rehearsal go? Was it a Chinese buffet you went to? We have a couple here and I know my youngest and his friends go rather frequently! I agree about the unknown people telling me lots of information all the time, there must be something about us that makes people want to talk to us!

Skyflower I agree with Sally, either write it down or speak it all out, you could even use the voice recorder feature on your mobile so you don't feel you are speaking to empty air. Also try to replace the chattering in your head with something else, some music would be good, either relaxing meditation type or loud dancing around music, I have found both help. Let us know what the solicitor says

PQ how are you feeling this morning? How did it go with the doctor?

Kiera bet it is windy in your area this morning, it's blowing a gale outside my house, stay warm.

Sparkling are you ok?

I met with a friend last night, we only get together a couple of times a year but we always have a good time. It is book club tonight, which I always enjoy.

I hope you're feeling better pq.

I'm sorry things are so difficult skyflower.

Had tea out last night for oldest's birthday. Daughter's boyfriend came along.

Must drag daughter down to surger...  It won't be draggin, we've had a serious chat...

I should have had an trip out with friend yesterday.  All discussed, arranged and me booking a day off.  But his daughter has been allocated a house, so he was decorating it.  As this house his around the corner from his place, I can hear skidding tyres as everything ends for daughter.  Family should always come first, and that's something I would never dispute, but as she has her Dad wrapped around her finger...   Anyhow.  We will go after Christmas - so that gives him a 12 month window Cool  Yes, I'm sulking.  Not that he has any idea.

I hope everyone is ok.  I'm going to the gym.  I am, honest, even if it is blowing a gale and looks very, very cold out there.

Am trying to cope. I have lost so much but losing my children I can not cope with. I cannot sleep anymore. Have been writing and writing as you suggested. It makes it so clear and it makes it even more real. So scared. Tomorrow I will start decorating the house. I have to do something different. I will try recording tomorrow, but my mind can't stop. It just can't stop. My solicitor says that judges can just overrule, though if recommendations are very strong, they usually follow them, but they have the power to overrule.

Well done Sparklinglime, I used to do the treadmill watching tv otherwise it was so boring and you just do it ! Sometimes they are oblivious Sparkling, they don't see it.

So glad Kiera that it is going so much better with your son. You are right about Court. Every time I have to go, I get nervous 2 days before and feel completely ill for the next 3 days after I have been, then slowly recover. Just help me pray I can keep them.

Morning one and all, how are you?

I do hope the antibiotics have started to kick in, PQ, so that you can feel better. Have you any plans for the weekend?

Sparkling, I do sympathise re the daughter thing, dads and daughters....can be an issue. I went out with a chap who was a single dad with his teen daughter living with him. She was actually a nice girl, it was his attitude that was infuriating. Once he cancelled a date because she had a cold! (and bear in mind she was 17 not 7) Hopefully things will settle down for you and he will get his priorities ironed out...sometimes things are planned in a certain way and it's hard to change but now you are in his life, maybe he can be "encouraged" to have a different perspective? Good for you, going to the gym. Hope your eldest had a good birthday.

Sally hope your daughter's performance went well and you didn't freeze yourself solid getting there and back

Skyflower, how are you this morning? I can so understand how it is going round in your head. One thing I do with my counselling clients is to ask them to imagine a treasure chest and to put their worries in there and lock it with a big padlock. Of course this will not immediately solve everything, but if you could say to yourself "I am going to have a break from all this stress" and lock your worries up even for half an hour, just t give your mind some relief, and also give you a feeling of more control. Try and do something nice for yourself as well in terms of pampering.

I am expecting my eldest to arrive later today for a visit. I wonder if there is any more Army news? Looking forward to having a good chat with him, anyway. Church coffee meet this morning.

Hello everyone and hope your Saturdays are going well

Glad that you are rallying, PQ, how was the School Fayre? is it a trim or are you changing your hairstyle?

Sorry that you are feeling fed-up, sparkling. It's always tempting to imagine that others are having a shiny happy social life, especially at this time of year and that can increase our sense of isolation. May I suggest you indulge your creative side at this time, have something nce to show for your downtime. You know my thing about "colouring in" but also your card-making is what I was thinking. And have a think about something you could get going, maybe an evening with your work friend, a coffee with a neighbour, that sort of thing.

Skyflower how are you doing?

Hopeful did they all get their choccies

? St Nicholas would need a peg the size of Nellie the Elephant on his nose before going anywhere near my youngest's trainers! When are you doing your signed carol singing?

Sally hope you got your early sleep, did the music going wrong put your daughter off? Sounds maybe as if it didn't. Christmas cards, my two for USA have been posted so I am hoping to get a few more written in the coming days.

My coffee morning was fine yesterday and went to visit my new friend who has M.E. in the afternoon, I do enjoy her company. She asked me to take her new mini hot water bottle back to Superdrug as it was leaking. She had thrown away the receipt so they kindly gave me a gift card. Eldest arrived in the evening, rather delayed as there was a problem with the trains. He soon demolished the spag bol I had made and both boys were soon milling round for a snack in the evening. I hide some of the food things so shooed them out while I got some cheese and crackers sorted and tucked the things away again. Had a long chat about the Army thing, and whilst nothing has changed I feel much more settled in my mind about things.

Have a good day, and look forward to your news Laughing

PQ my boys always used to "decorate" the tree ie hang the stuff on one side of it then get fed up and leave the room, when I would rearrange the things more symmetrically. Was the chicken nice? I remember you having that before.

I suddenly thought I've not shown anyone my 'new' hair! But I can't remember how to go to the avatar thing and I cant find the post about it. It's all wild and curly.

My mum is coming on 20th so we are going to start a big house sort out today, otherwise she won't know what hit her!

Hope everyone is well! xx

Afternoon everyone, hope you have all had a good day.

Hopeful sorry to hear your still not well, here is a link to the page you were looking for, i think it is a slightly different process to change your avatar, use the link to go to the doppleme web page and sign in you will need your password and your doppleme key, which you will find on your profile, see instructions on how to find this in the link,  the rest is pretty straight forward.  You will need to put your new doppleme key on your profile so we can see your new you.  Good luck with the tidy up.

Sorry to hear about your son keira has he got a cold or is it something else.

I'm having a relaxing evening tonight (kids have no choice, i'm enforcing it) we were busy last night and over the weekend and everyone is in need of a quiet evening.

How was your day off Louise?

Have a good evening everyone.

Hopeful, your hair sounds lovely.

I went out for a drive this evening, but missed the sunset.  Watched the waves, and went to see my friend who lives close, by.  She had a roaring fire, which was rather nice.

I hope you've had a relaxing evening Sally.

Ooh an open fire sounds lovely, sparkling! Mind you, I remember when we had one when I was a little girl and how much hard work it was. Has the robin made an appearance in your neck of the woods yet? I expect the decorations are well and truly up anyway.

Sally, I would guard those pics with your life....slight worries about Facebook possibilities here.

Hopeful, your hair sounds fab, the curliness might only last a few months though so make the most of it. Your Mum is staying over Christmas I am presuming? Who will do the cooking? Hope your cold soon feels better.

Kiera, I did look at my garden yesterday and think does it need a final going over and I was too lazy to do it in the end, whoops. How is your son?

Yesterday I went to a rehearsal for some carol singing, some of us from church are visiting an old peoples' home. The original plan was for ten of us. Got to the rehearsal and there were THREE of us. Oh dear, it's going to be a bit of a shambles, let's hope the residents enjoy a chat and a cup of tea...it seems unlikely they will enjoy the singing!!!

The tumble drier man is coming today, after all that, they had a cancellation and they phoned me. This means I have to stay in but that is Ok as I have a long list of jobettes to do, including a parcel to pack up for my friend for Christmas.

What is everyone up to today?
