It has been reported in the press that Jobcentre Plus managers have had targets set as to the number of sanctions that they need to apply each week. The Government are carrying out an urgent review. In the meantime sanctions are being discussed in Parliament on Monday. I have been asked about evidence around sanctions. In particular around cases for single parents where sanctions have been unjust, ineffective or counter productive. Would anyone be willing to be a case study (personal details will not be used) and or be prepared to talk to the media? Have your say!
