Skyflower, that all sounds awful. Use the link Louise has given and get some independent advice.

Was hoping to for a walk in the countryside today but it's pouring with rain at the moment. Maybe it will clear up later.

Have a good night out tonight Kiera.

Yes, sorry it will be Monday, keep phoning as they get busy. I know you have mentioned the stats behind all this before, Skyflower but I am still shocked that so many children are not believed.

Did you get out for your walk, PQ?

Kiera, have a good night out Smile

Good morning all

I agree that staying calm and positive is really hard but it is the best way if at all possible. I know several guys where the mum of their children alleged abuse that did not happen and I suppose it is cases like those that mean that genuine people like you are not believed...but surely it is not possible for even a professional psychologist to say definitively whether they think abuse has occurred!!!

Kiera did you enjoy your night out?

Hope you are having a nice time with your friend, PQ

Sparkling, how are things in your neck of the woods?

Hopeful are you at work or off this weekend?

What's for dinner, hazeleyes? I am making a risotto, basically using up bits and bobs in the fridge such as pepper, mushroom, tomato, and also bacon, rice and vegetable stock. Might even sneak some broccoli in as well Tongue Out

Have a good day everyone, it is frosty out there so take care Smile

I do believe you need to stand up against this, Skyflower, and not just go along with it, why should you lie to please everyone? but of course I do not know what the legal consequences of that might be so speak with Family Rights and have you emailed our own Legal Expert?

Kiera I am so sorry about your son, and upsetting for everyone concerned, hope the consultant will be of help tomorrow. Glad you enjoyed your night out and hope your week will go well

My risotto was a success, hurrah. Son is now on late shift at work and is Not Popular as I have just found out that he has broken the shower and not told me! Homebase tomorrow, I believe...

Hi all. My weekend went ok, however my ex decided to turn up early evening with the girls as they 'forgot' something!! Which he found highly amusing.....grrr!! But I have made a decision, I'm not going to ask him to have the girls over night any more when I have something planned, its judt not worth the hassle.

Hope your son is ok today Kiera. Is there something going on in his life which could be triggering the fits? It must be such a worry for you.

Skyflower, I hope you get some legal advice today, I don't really understand your situation but I hope you can sort it out ok.

Its really wet and horrible here today, makes me want to stay indoors, eat soup and watch tv.....but alas I have to work.

Hello everyone and how are you doing?

Glad you got that letter from the MP, Skyflower, we are hoping to have a Family Rights Group Adviser on here for a short while but I appreciate time is of the essence, do email our legal expert also as I suggested

Sparkling the weather was perfect for the parade wasn't it? How has today been at work?

PQ how annoying and totally typical that the girls' dad brought them back round, he is so contradictory as he seems to not want to see them sometimes and yet is very keen to be checking up on you rather often. Hope you still managed to have a good time with your friend.

Kiera hope your son has benefited from a quiet day at home, they really do need to sort him, even if he has to go into hospital for a few days so they can keep an eye on him, it is affecting his life too much now.

Sally, sorry to hear you have been poorly, take it steady. Have the children got any activities tonight?

Got a new shower hose and head, friend drilled the tiles for me and it is installed, youngest loves it as it is a fixed rainhead one, was qutie cheap though. Also went to Morrisons, I have no idea what meals my son will need as he is on his security job trial tomorrow, instead of today and has no idea of his shifts thereafter so have got some things for the freezer. A friend is coming round on Friday and she loves Indian food so I have got one of those packs of assorted Indian things like skewered chicken and onion bhaji.

Have a peaceful evening everyone Laughing

Feeling somewhat better though i still have the niggley headache, no activities thankfully until tomorrow Louise.  Was busy doing spreadsheets this morning and attended quite an informative commissioning meeting this afternoon on Domestic Abuse.  Early night i think.

Your welcome Skyflower, i'm sure everyone is pleased to be able to support you through this, How was your day?

Phew glad it stopped raining for you PQ hope it stayed that way, are you feeling better today?

That's a pain for your son Louise not knowing what shifts he's doing in advance, glad you got your shower fixed.

Morning everyone, hope you are well, it was forecast to be frosty but not here. What is it like with you?

PQ it sounds as if you got plenty of showers without even going in the bathroom on Monday, it's horrid when you keep having to go out in it. How is work at the moment?

Sally you have a really busy time at work at the moment, hope you got your early night.

Skyflower we do have someone from the Family Rights Group online on this site on Friday 22nd (ie next week) Keep an eye out for the thread announcing details, although we will highlight it in here too. How is your doggy getting on, any more chew-fests?

Kiera, how are you all doing? Hope your son has settled a bit, how is the Freedom Programme going?

Sparkling, all quiet on the western front, are you busy busy with work and Scouty things?

Had a quiet morning yesterday, then counselling in the afternoon and housegroup in the evening. Eldest is doing a fundraising thing for Children in Need. His part in it appeares to be dressing up as a woman so I now have a photo of him with hair extensions and lipstick, rather unnerving. He is going through the process to be in the Territorial Army so that is taking some time up as he goes to interviews etc. Youngest had his security job trial and was offered the position, he will continue to do his grocery job till rotas are sorted out, it seems.

Meeting a friend for posh coffee this morning then another counselling client this afternoon. Hope you all have a good day Laughing

Hi Sparkling, sending hugs (()).

Very frosty here this morning, but lovely and sunny too.

Work is still really busy, missed lunch again yesterday and stayed an extra 2 hours to try and get things done. Its probably only going to get worse as we move into winter. There's a new role being developed which I am considering, will chat to my manager next week about it.

How do you feel about your son joining the T.A.'s Louise?

Hope your headache has finally gone Sally.

Sorry to hear things are hard at the moment, sparkling. HUG from me too and we are here if it would help to talk about it.

Oh PQ that does sound busy. Will be interesting to see what a possible new role would involve.

My son and the TA...if I am honest, I so do not want him to join but have so far been putting it out of my head thinking "he won't get in anyway" But yesterday he said he had passed the next stage and was looking at the Royal Artillery, it is all beginning to feel too real. The TAs also go out on operations such as Aghanistan so not conducive to peace of mind!

Had a nice coffee and catch-up with my friend Laughing

Has joining the TA's been on his agenda for a long time Louise or a snap decision?

Singing tonight, the girls have got out all our Christmas cds, so i'm presently listening to christmas songs.  Meetings at school in the morning with older ones.

Also to add to Louise's earlier mention of the Family Rights Group coming on One Space next week the thread for your questions/posts should be up on Monday.

Difficult day today, thank you Sally. Hope You are feeling better now, sounds great, singing Christmas songs, it always makes you feel good. Wish they would do more of it here, at least children don't worry this year about having a Christmas or not like last year, like here all children were scaring each other in school. Christmas this year is on!!

Ooh Sally I am jealous of the Christmas songs, I love them all and like it once they start on the radio. My favourite seasonal CD is a Phil Spector one. Good luck for your meeting.

Skyflower, hello. Sorry you had a tough day, stay with us Wink

PQ how are you this morning?

Sparkling another HUG coming your way Smile

I did not know about the TAs till last time I saw my eldest, well I knew he had had an army medical but I thought he had gone off the idea since getting this good job he has, anyway apparently his girlfriend (who sounds very sensible) had said to him it was really important to discuss it with his mum. He phoned me yesterday for another chat and I think it is quite some way off still but he has been to an initial Royal Artillery training.

Its good that your son is talking to you about the TAs Louise. They do go to the war zones with serving soldiers so it must be a worry for you.

Kiera, the evening with my friend was 'ok'. A couple of things came up that made me think he's not the one for me so it will probably just fizzle out.

Kiera how was the wrestling with your son, was it this week you were going?

Big HUG sparkling.

That sounds tough Louise, not sure how i would feel if it were my son.  How was your day?

Meetings at the school went well, though i don't know why they feel the need to keep changing the formats for the reports, i had just got used to the last one. Going to do some online christmas shopping once all are in bed tonight.

Evening all Laughing

Are we allowed to know what you buy, Sally? Good that you got to the meetings, even though the reports were a new format. My youngest's report used to have all these code numbers and you had to keep referring to the "key" to decipher them.

PQ Hope H is feeling better and I agree with you about the Arctic blast. I scuttled to my cupboard to make sure I had salt for metling the ice and long life milk and the stuff to make bread if needed (got some but out of date so will get some more stuff) Shame that some things came up with the chap but better to spot the warning signs early.

Kiera, you are quite right to keep your eyes open! Hope your son will have  a more settled weekend and your little girl will enjoy Peppa.

Skyflower, hope you will have a restful evening and try to put your worries in a mental box for at least a while over the weekend.

Sparkling WELL DONE for still going to the gym, I agree it is vital when you are feeling low. The swim will be lovely. Re TAs, I just feel sick, I know they go to war zones even though in later waves. However, worrying about it won't cure it so best to take it one step at a time.

Tomorrow evening I am going to a "Ladies Autumn Evening, bring your slippers" (hahaha) hosted by a neighbour. She is quite new to the street and I think wants to get to know everyone better. If our usual neighbourhood get-togethers are anything to go by, she certainly will "get to know us better" though I doubt she will be encouraging our usual Take That karaoke Tongue Out

It sounds like good fun Louise, Ladies Autumn Evening, would love to join and chill out, here however we have sleep overs so I will buy crisps and candy and pop and then sneak to my bedroom with a book and iPad, cleaning up the mess tomorrow.
