National Stress Awareness Day

National Stress Awareness Day

November 5th is National Stress Awareness Day (NSAD) and the theme for this year is the ‘Balancing Act’. NSAD is about raising awareness: at work, at home, at play - of stress and the adverse effects it can have on your health and life in general. Sound relevant for single parents who are constantly juggling demands?

It is sometimes difficult to keep the balance right in terms of work, play and lifestyle; raising awareness of the numerous solutions that are available to achieve this balance is important, One of the aims of the campaign is for people across the UK to stop and think about stress and take positive steps towards achieving balance in their lives; so how can you go about it?...

Get some advice from an advisor
One Space is supporting this campaign which is being organised by the International Stress Management Association (ISMA). On Wednesday 5th Nov from 2.30pm - 3.30pm we will have a Stress Advisor from ISMA who specialises in reiki and holistic stress solutions to offer advice in our stress management chat forum What gets you stressed and how do you manage it?

For more information on the campaign, facts, figures and how you can get involved see the ISMA’s campaign webpages. There are also ideas for things you can do on the day and a leaflet to help you plan an event.
