The last couple of years, we have had a lovely early period of sunshine about Maytime and then June and July have been mini monsoons. Been shopping today and road was flooded; hope we are not in for another one. I blame Wimbledon! :shock:
I like the way they're raving that the centre court now has a roof - how many courts are there??? I can see rain will still be stopping play.
When I was young (I'm old, remember) I hardly ever remember rain stopping play at Wimbledon (love Wimbledon!). We used to have two weeks holiday on Lleyn in a caravan - always last week of July and first week of August, and it other than the last year we went (when I turned 15) the sun always shone.
The summer holidays were awful last year, but I was so lucky as I got a PS2 on ebay for £27. They still use it, and it saved the holidays. Last year I didn't have a car, and this year I'm broke as I'm paying for a car! :lol: Hope the PS2 lasts a bit longer.
My son is wearing a fleece over his sweatshirt today! I think he's exaggerating, I have a t-shirt on.
I'm looking forward to autumn : )
