Just been to Asda for yogurts. My 10 year old (youngest) went to get these, and I gave him some money to pay. Meanwhile, I watch from the other side of the tills - just incase...

Youngest is clearly queueing (sp?) at the tills, who walks past me but ex and his wife. They take no notice of Jack and Jack just looked blankly at them...

Clearly, The Git and Gitess didn't notice the boy, and its almost as if youngest didn't recognice his father.

Half of me wanted to say "look, its Dad" - as I usually do - I do make sure they have a chat if we do meet them somewhere. The Gittess and I get on ok, even though I don't - sorry, I just can't - take much notice of him. Just youngest was in a queue, so I didn't say anything.

Part of me feels sad that they didn't recognise each other. I knew youngest was there though...

I've seen ex three times now, so clearly not working, and yet he's not seen the children since 17th... Which is ok.

Yet youngest asks to see him.

Anyway. He got the yogurts, which was the main thing :D so he will have a tub in his lunch box tomorrow!

Hi sparklinglime

Very quiet here today?? :?

Isn't it strange that they didn't notice each other, I suppose it was because the situation was out of context, but it does seem a bit bonkers, I can imagine you quietly screaming inside LOOK THERE'S YOUR AMAZING BOY, ISN'T HE GORGEOUS, ISN'T HE UNMISSABLE??

But you held it down and carried on with your day and as usual no-one was none the wiser.

Nice for your ex to have all this time off with his wife

Hope your boy enjoys his yoghurt!!

It is quiet...

I know he wasn't expecting to see him there, but I feel it also shows the state of the relationship, mainly.

Ex is quite tall, and his wife taller still, so I'm surprised youngest didn't see them - focused on tomorrow's lunch!

But yes, I do expect him to notice him. He is a gorgeous lad, with fair hair, so - well to me anyway :D he does stand out.

Both ex and I used to be in the same badminton club as the cashier (a retired science teacher) and she saw what happened. Looked at ex, and at me. I shrugged and she made a fuss of my youngest - she's getting to know him quite well.

I quite like it when others notice how ex is 8-)

I am awful!!

You're not awful; it must be such a comfort to get that bit of camaraderie :D

It's actually his dad who is losing out. I don't expect you to feel sorry for him ( :? ) but yes, it is sad.

I agree with you, I love it when my ex does something stupid and shows others his true colours!!

Not that we should need outsiders approval or understanding, we know the truth, but every little helps!!!
