TRUETUBE: ONLINE EDUCATIONAL MAGAZINE WANTS NO.1 MUM OR DAD

TrueTube

I’m looking families who have teenage children or children in their early twenties for a film we are making about family members who are positive role models.

We are looking for a young person to speak about how either their mother, father, brother or sister is an inspirational role model to them.

We are looking for someone between 16 and 30 and preferably based in or close to the Greater London area who has a great relationship with their parent or siblings and want to champion either their mum, dad or sibling. We’d like to film the interview and we would need only an hour of their time.

In a society where celebrity singers, models and actors are seen as role models we want to show that someone in your family can be a more positive role model.

Has the family member in question had to overcome problems and still support the family? Do they juggle time and jobs and other responsibilities? What is it that the young person most admires and why do they want to be more like them?

We’d ideally like to film the interview any time between now and our filming deadline of 23rd July.

TrueTube is a charity funded project and the website’s aim is to promote current issues and initiate social and ethical debate amongst young people, aged approx 15-25. We produce videos and short films (2-5 minutes in duration) on numerous issues which are important to young people and then offer an online platform to debate and discuss these topics. We are also used as a free education resource within schools, colleges and universities.

Our website address is - http://www.truetube.co.uk - please feel free to take a look.

TrueTube is currently making a series of short films on positive influences and role models. We want to investigate who young people aspire to be like and why, how young people can be affected by people other than celebrities and what are the positive influences can affect their lives and their futures.

We find that our young adult audience responds best to hearing from with personal experience of a given subject and can speak from the heart. I’m sure any contribution anyone might be willing to make would have a positive impact on our young adult audience.

Ideally we would like to film the interview next week. We are based in London.
