Spring..

Bubblegum
DoppleMe

Don't know what it's like in the rest of the country but here in North Wales it's bloody lovely, Sunny and warm(ish) and it's like spring is in full swing. Monday and Tuesday I went for long bike rides, Conwy and Bethesday, a bit cold when the sun went out but otherwise lovely.

And this morning the sky is almost clear so looks like another nice one.

Just wanted to share that happy spring feeling : )

Good morning, Bubblegum and everyone

It's so exciting when Spring finally seems about to spring, isn't it? Here is Yorkshire it is still pretty chilly but yesterday was lovely and sunny. The crocuses are all peeping through in the park, and I have one daffodil in my garden! I love it when it starts getting lighter in the evenings too.

Sigh

It's freezing in the london area. Everyone is moaning about the cold. Have seen one daff in someone's garden. I have a few buds, but that is all I think. Not ventured in the garden yet, so getting view from window!

Glorious sunshine here : )

Just got back from Bangor on my bike. Lots of Snowdrops out here and the Daffs are sprouting but havent flowered yet, at least I didn't see any... but then I was too bussie trying to not look like I was sweating and gasping for air. : )

P.S. I just ate a whole punnet of rasberies and one of blueberries that only just fitted in a bowl with a toffee yogurt poured over them and some walnuts and rasins thrown in for good measure.. and I've not touched any wine for two weeks, nore bread for a week... and now I feel all glowing and health even if my leggs do feel a bit weak and shakie.

Mind you I could murder a sandwich, I rode past Subway in Bangor and the smell nearly made me fall off my bike and start crying there in the street..

But I didn't.

Later.

Hey bubblegum, you are so right Spring is trying desperately to get here, we have had beautiful sky today and Monday, but it is still soo cold.  I too love the evenings being lighter for longer, it gives me so much more energy!

I would love to be bike riding around the beautiful Wales, but some of us have to work!!  ha ha, just you wait til single dads get the blame for the state of this country, you will be off your bike and working behind a checkout before you know it! ha ha!!

Good for you staying off the wine and doing lots of cycling, is this the new you for the summer??

I lost three stone cycling over the summer last year and through eating healthily and doing a lot of walking I've kept it off over winter, maybe just a couple of pounds.. but now it's getting warmer again I can start back into my cycling and keeping fit , I'd like to loose a bit more really... about a stone maybe .

It's good because it was getting so that I didn't like going out and was getting really self concious of my size but now I'm happy : )

That's the new me, exercise and healthy eating(ish

Well done, you :-)

I like hearing about your food creations, especially when you have not planned it and you just see what is on offer at the shops and design the family meal on the spot!

I do a lot of that, last night we just had fish and chips as there was some "responsibly caught" Norwegian cod, my son asked what it meant and I told him it meant that the cod dies happy so he could eat it :) there was some of that reduced, so that with some chips, I cheated and got a packet of frozen ones, don't tell anyone.

Packs of Frubes are on offer at CooP at the moment, my kids love them seeing as they are brightly coloured with pictures of cartoon like animals on them, on the normal Frubes, as these ones are some sort of special packet, but on the normal Frubes they fight over the zebra one and so I have to put it and another behind my back and get one of them to choose which arm.

Anyway, Frubes are about ninety odd pence a packet at the moment, just right for eating on the way home from school in the sun : )

"Responsibly caught" sounds as if the cod had counselling before it went voluntarily into the net lol.

It seems if your children will be enjoying a Friday Frube treat this afternoon, yum!

Yay, bring on the sun!  Is there such a thing as a SUN dance - if we all did it at the same time on the same day, we might get lots of it!  Its very cloudy here today :(

I hear Athens is rather lovely at this time of year!

aaah just been sat in the garden, studying the frogspawn in the pond and watching the birds go into the bird house - i love spring!  Amazing how it makes life seem so much nicer and happier.  Am having a day when I'm very happy with everything, trying to savour it, wish i could bottle this feeling for next time I feel everything is getting on top of me.  Hope everyone else has got some sunshine too today.

Me and the kids walked along the beach to the next village and back, had food and ice creams and it was all very nice and sunny.

A pic.

Just got home and I've lit some incence sticks and opened all the windows and the back door and there is a lovely cool breeze going through the house..

The sun was out here in glasgow with some rain showers this morning but my goodness the wind was bitter and very sharp. I had a lazy day in with a headache but it was lovely to look out the wind and see some hope for whats around the corner especially as the clocks are changing tonight...1 less hour in bed tomorrow :o( lol.

They have always walked since they could, if you know what I mean. I have been dragging them waddling across mountains with back packs, wild camping since they were three and four... so they are used to it : )

Here here and here are some pics...

Thanx for the nice words about my pics : )

I put together my new lawn mower (I hardly have any grass, to its a small one) and cut the grass.

It took about five minutes to cut the grass, and all day to assemble to lawn mower as I had to keep sitting down :-D

I'm so glad that spring is here.  I just hope the weather stays reasonable.

Bubblegum, I love looking through your photos. They make me smile.
