Hello, not sure how to go about this.

I am a single mum to a lovely 3 year old little boy who I love more than anything. I have been a single parent for just over 1 year (valentines day!!). I would love to be in contact with other single parents in the Birmingham area.

We have members from all over the country and there is lots of chat and support here.

So how are you feeling one year down the line? The irony of your separation being on Valentines Day! How is single parenthood for you? Your son will be at school before you know it and that will be another life change.

Welcome from me too! You said you were not sure how to go about this, but you have done just fine!!

Are you enjoying single parenthood? Can you see the positive side of it, or are you finding life difficult?

You can look at our Local Support and Events and see if anything is going on in your area and perhaps you might meet other single parents there. We have tried to add places relevant to us!

I have just had a peek there is a Monday morning coffee morning at Kings Norton Library? Would that be of any interest to you?

Glad you've found the board.

My date of divorce came through on my 20th wedding anniversary - so I still have reason to celebrate! :-D

Humour aside, I hope you're doing ok, a year down the road.
