Claire-Louise

Hi Lonelydad
You really have had to cope with a lot and are still having to cope with 2 little ones on your own. They are also at quite a difficult age in terms of looking after 2 under the age of 2 years. You sound like you are relly doing the best you can though which is great to hear and do not be afraid to make the most of the support people who come in - that is what they are there for.
Louise is right that there is a loss of identity when they are so small because your whole life is based around their needs. But she is also right about it getting easier as they grow and our sense of identity coming back in time. My children are now 6 and 4 years and I am just feeling like I am getting my sense of identity back now and feel there is more to be than only being someone's mum.
Keep doing what you are doing and take it in small steps, day by day and you will get there. Keep coming back here for any support you need. Have you tried getting in touch with children family information service as they can tell you what is going on in your area:

Also net mums is good for local activities:

Good luck
