Halloooooo rosedragon, How fabulous to see you again!

Hooray! What a FABULOUS peice fo writing, it has really made my day! You sound sooo completely different from when we first met.

Feel really proud of you! Well done you, you definitely deserve the all expenses paid cruise around the world, with 24/7 nanny if needed!

How is college going? Are you doing another year? How are your daughters? And your home? I bet it has all come together, keep in touch and be an inspiration to others who have not reached where you are yet.

Take care of you :)

Hi Anna, College is going great. I passed NVQ2 AAT Accounting and am starting NVQ3 on Monday. My 17yo started a 2 year Art/Design course at college this week, 14yo exceeded all her target grades last year and I have moved my 9yo to a school closer to our home and further from her dads (but because they are closing the school). Having a few probs with my youngest, her Dad seems to be hell bent on turning her into a daddys spoilt princess, but nothing I can't handle. On the bright side (for me anyway) it is opening 14yo's eyes to him (he is her step dad).

Hi rosedragon. Congratulations on your NVQ, and good luck with the next stage.

So glad things are getting there - almost...

Hi rosedragon - wow, it really sounds like you are in control of every aspect of your life now. Even the situations that are out of your control, if you get my drift!

Well done for passing your NVQ2, very exciting to hear that you are moving up to level 3 :)

I was just discussing on another thread actually, that ex partners' true colours do eventually shine through for the children to see, for some people you just have to be patient. I hope your 9 yr old will see it all too when she reaches her teenage years. I have no doubt that her sisters will show her his faults too!

What are you going to do at the end of the NVQ3? Is there anywhere in particular that you want to work? Or are you climbing the education ladder even higher??

The NVQ3 finishes in February (it's a fast track course ie 3 days a week for 18 weeks). My youngest will be 10 in March and because of the new rules, I will have to change from IS to JSA, so will be unable to train further on a full time basis as I will have to be available for work. Hopefully, I will find a job in an accounts dept somewhere and if I'm very lucky somewhere who will support me with NVQ4 (which is 1 day a week for a year), so that I can put MAAT after my name :)

I thought you were able to continue with training?

I am going to ask Sally C if she will clarify the rules about this on the Benefit Changes and You thread.

My lone parent advisor told me that I would be unable to train on a full time basis because I have to be available for work. I could still work part time and do a part time course. NVQ4 is one day a week.
