Hi all,

Gingerbread is launching its Let's Lose the Labels campaign this month to challenge stereotypes of single parents.

One Space is going to talk to BBC Wales today at 1.30 to discuss this issue further.

You can hear it on the radio - 93-96 & 104 FM or on their website http://www.bbc.co.uk/wales/radiowales/sites/info/pages/frequencies.shtml

We will be working with Gingerbread on this campaign and will keep you informed about how to get involved or have your say.

I was reading about this in their newsletter.

I shall TRY and remember to tune it, and have the link open already.

I'll listen to it on iplayer after.

Only one message so far as feedback from a son who's mum was a lone parent

I also feel its a bit unfortunate that one of the phone ins is about immigration and another about hoeopathy, which seems to be stirring up more replies.

Hi sparklinglime

I have spoken to Angie Macdonald, our marketing worker, who says she was on at 1.05 to about 1.15, so I missed it too, but will have a look at i-player when the programme is finished.

I think there is going to be a lot of good press hopefully around the issue of stereotyping single parents in the media over the next few months, so this won't be the last we hear of it. :)

That sounds positive.

I just hope there is support too for parents on benefits, and that the choice for those wanting to raise their children at home will be reversed.
