OK I give in...

Bubblegum
DoppleMe

This evening I decided to conduct an experiment where in I would see who could stay up the latest... It's now half past twelve at night and my kids are completely wide awake upstairs playing with stuff in their bedroom and I can hardly keep my eyes open and must call it a day..

the buggers...

:)

strangely enough.... when they think I'm asleep they don't squabble and argue, they just get on with it..

the buggers..

later and good night.

 Bubblegum. You're very astute to have noticed the absence of quarrelling! ;)

My son once wanted to "stay up all night" on New year's Eve, when he was about nine. I said Ok and went to bed at about thirty seconds after midnight :D In the morning I came down and although by that time he was in his bed, there was a half=finished jigsaw on the table and the remains of various snacks and drinks. He said he had lasted till about 4am.

The thing is, they DO have more energy than us and especially if you had your Friday treat of a glass of wine, Bubblegum, you were just winding down after a busy week of parenting.....

I am so tired during the week, i usually get into bed at about 8.30pm ( half an hour after my kids) and curl up with abhot water bottle to watch Lost! 12 midnight seems like a long way off for me! Those late night sessions are well and truely over for me now!
Old before her time!

Hey bubblegum, maybe you should sit around and snore on the sofa, whenever you feel an argument brewing :!:

Funnily enough I have tried that, it didn't work, they are like dogs in that respect in that they know when you are asleep and when you are pretending. Don't know if you've ever had a dog that in the morning as soon as it knows you are awake it starts licking you and putting it's nose in your face... well my kids are like that too.

My lot can happily stay awake all night. I don't remember a time they couldn't!
