My OTHER leg...

The children and I were gardening on Saturday - well them more than me, I was directing

Saturday night, the back of my leg was itching, so I did scratch it, as you do. Yesterday, I noticed there was a bit of a scab and put some germolene on. Later, notices the skin around it was going red, so put more germolene on...

Well this morning, my lower leg must be a third bigger than the wonky (left) leg and was scarlet. Someone suggested it could be a horsefly bite. Couldn't get through to the surgery, so gave up and drove down, and had an appointment with the nurse :? . She agrees it's a bite (by now I thought it was thrombosis, but no pain and I was going to keel over and die before the children came home - I even put a note in my diary to let them know how much they're loved 8-) ).

So I have to go back later to see a GP (I think it's going to be the horrid one) for anti-biotics.

I've never had anything like this before :o , usally I'm fine with bites.

Just thought I'd add another drama to the list :D

Very trivial drama, I hope...

You sound so much like me Sparkling. I leave a note in the kitchen when I'm feeling real rough telling him how much he means to me, and that I want him to be happy with whatever he does in life. (I have a book that I started for him as a baby, going through his progress etc. Also another book that I started just before he started school. For a long time, I had convinced myself that I wouldn't get the chance to see him go to school. Morbid or what???
Glad to hear you've hopefully got your 'bite' sorted. They can be extremely painful.
Take care

I'm sort of glad it's not only me who does this

Two types of anti-biotics - one a very strong one, four times a day, and anti-histimane tablets.

It was the horrid GP... Funny, she was rather nice today 8-)

thank you.

It's not painful, really, only if I laid on my back as the lump is on the back of my leg. It's tingly. Lovely colour - it feels as warm as it looks!

She's warned me it might get painful :(

Oh sparkling!
you poor thing. You need a treat.
Normally you would feel a horsefly bite, they hurt straight away.

Are you sure it's not a sceptic tic?

Hug, sy.

I hope not.

I just hope that something like maggots don't start eating their way out the lump! The nurse put an iodine strip and plaster on it and has assured me that won't happen.

GP said similar.

At least it makes my other leg look dainty!
