My fridge

The fridge of my fridge freezer seems to have given up the ghost. A child didn't close the door this morning, and as I avoid the first slimfast for as long as possible, I didn't need the fridge until after 2pm. It won't go cold.

I so need some new clothes. I keep trying to save then something else takes priority.

I think I need a new fridge. And a pack of ham, 3 packs of butter, a pack of lurpack, 12 pints of semi-skimmed, 4 pints of skimmed, 2 packs of cheese spread - it's all gone warm.

I don't have either, and my electricity bill dropped by nearly a third when I threw my fridge out, it was broken mind, it was one of those ones where the freezer compartment door had broken so it probably wasn't the most economical fridge anyway.. But! it has been surprisingly easy to adapt to not having one, I am lucky to have a small COOP just down the road, so it's like a big walk in fridge and for stuff that I cant get there, herbs and spices, nuts and stuff I used to ask my sister to get them when she did her shopping but recently I have started cycling into either Bangor or Conwy as they are nearby.

So I'm saving electricity and keeping fit : )

It's cold. The fridge is cold :D

My children love milk - just I stocked up yesterday evening for the weekend! The skimmed is for my Slimfast

IT'S COLD!!!!

I think fiddling with the temperature might have kicked started it.

I'm so relieved.

I couldn't do without a fridge, I just couldn't - although if I had a coop - reasonable prices - close by, yes, it could be done. My things are AA rated - including the washing machine.

My electric eater is the dryer. My son with secial needs mean that I have a load of bedding most days - this weather is saving me a fortune :D

The worst day of the year possible for your fridge to have gone wrong, sparkling. Was the meat Ok that you had had in there?

Isn't it interesting that we all have different "essential" things? And different electricity eaters? My neighbours, with three young children, NEVER hang any clothes or bedding on the line; even in summer it is the tumble dryer

Sprakling, nosy question but have you tried to get some "care" DLA to help out with the bills?

I get middle rate DLA for my son.

Thank goodness. The rate he goes through clothes too compared to the other three...

I cried the day they yes he qualified though. I think I was in denial for as long as I could be.

Another to make you laugh. I came down stairs this morning, and he was in the living room with the door shut - he had the electric fire on full blast, sitting in front of it in his shorts and no t-shirt!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I keep reminding myself he can't help it, but honestly, I have to be so vigilant with him - I'd never leave him home alone as I'm not sure if the house would still be standing!
