Looking to make friends in London and Yorkshire

little lady

Hello all,

Currently living in East Yorkshire but visit London a lot for weekends.  Looking to make friends both at home and down in the capital.  Would be lovely to have friends I can travel down to visit and share days out with.  Hoping to move to London at some point but this could be a while.

Hope to hear from you.

Thanks

LittleLady

Hello littlelady

Welcome to One Space, I do hope you will become a regular contributor.

I have moved your post to the Local Information section. We have members from all over and hopefully you will be able to make contact with some that are local to you. I was wondering why you were considering London as your new location?

Hi there little lady

Have you heard of London Forum for single parents? Iheard about it a few years ago and think that it looks really exciting!  I wish I had known of it when my daughter was small.

It has single parents looking to flatshare with other single parents!  Great idea, huh!

Hello Louise and Anna

Thanks for moving my message, appreciate it.  I do intend to be a regular contributor, only found your site last night but its really good.  If I can ever help at all contributing to the site, please feel free to ask.

With regard to flat sharing in London - I think thats a great idea.  I want to move to London, the sooner the better.  I was made redundant last year and jobs are fairly limited up here in Hull at the mo.  Got one interview next week, just part time admin, but I'm not getting my hopes up as you can guarantee a lot of others will be going too.  I visit London regularly, I love the city!  I usually go for weekend, Friday travelling down I'm soooo excited but then on the Sunday coming home I'm on the verge of crying.  I know living in London is completely different to visiting but I just feel there are a lot more opportunities for both me and my daughter down in London.  I am currently studying interior design on a home study diploma and theres not much use for that up here.  I'd consider house sharing I think, its certainly worth looking into.  I'm trying to find the best way to get things rolling and looking into what process I need to move down to London.

Hope you are both well.  Roll on the weekend eh!
