DIRECTOR LOOKING FOR SINGLE MOTHERS FOR A SOCIAL DOCUMENTARY
Hello,
I'm an Italian director and I'm preparing a documentary about the life of single mothers in 4 European countries (ideally Italy, France, UK, Spain). I'd like to show how is difficult for a woman to grow up a child all alone, but also the economical possibility that every country gives to single mothers (showing in particular the difference of state benefits existing in these 4 countries even if they are all part of Europe). But I'd like also to tell the story of 4 women who have reached a sort of serenity and have achieved their dreams, despite the troubles they had to face.
I live in Paris and so I have already found someone here who can tell me her story and the same has happened in Italy. But I'm meeting some problems to find someone in UK and I have also some difficulties to understand the English system of benefits for single mothers. That's why I'm writing this post, because I hope that someone could help me to carry on my project, pointing out someone who could be interested to participate or an association which could give me an efficient support.
