Channel 4 Debate Show

CatherineC4

Are you worried about how tax increases will affect your family?

Hi,

I’m writing from Mentorn Media who are making a one off special debate programme for Channel 4 about radical ways of reducing the country’s massive debt.  A measure we will debate is VAT being placed on children’s clothes and food items, these are items that currently aren’t taxed.

I’m really keen to talk to parents about how this would affect them and their family’s finances. If you have a strong opinion on this I’d love to hear from you with a view to you appearing in the audience for the programme.

It will be filmed in Camden and you would be need to be free from 5.30pm – 8pm.

The programme will be transmitted live on Monday 21st June on Channel 4.  Channel 4 News anchor Krishnan Guru-Murthy will be the presenter.  Mentorn Media also make Question Time for BBC One.

Please get in touch as soon as you can, the deadline is Friday 18th June and thanks so much for your time

Catherine

Any takers on this one? I wonder if they would pay travel expenses from participants outside London?

Ok thanks for that, Catherine, I know the paying the fare would be a massive issue for anyone who found the addition of VAT on childrens' clothes would cause a problem with their budget.

Any takers?
