Hi : )

We are ok.. I went for a walk up the mountains on Tuesday just before the heavy snow, bit off a bit more than I could chew and had to wade across two miles of thigh high snow, it was really heavy going... and when I got back I was passing lots of parents with their kids as the school had been closed down. It was closed yesterday too because not enough teachers.

:)

Thanx for asking... had a lovely Christmas and new year and all that, most of it at my sisters.

I skinned and gutted and then cooked two Pheasants, that was pretty good, something of an achievement, I volunteered new years eve while drunk and then the next day I was thinking, Oh god do I really want to do that? but I made my self, I was stood in the butchers hoping desperately that he had sold out : ) but he hadn't, he was selling them off at a quid a bird as no one wanted them.

They were lovely and now come the revolution I'll be all right as I know how to skin and prepare Pheasants.. ha!

Other than that all is as it usually is, not heard anything from solicitors or anything, no doubt now that I've mentioned it and tempted fate I will get a letter today to ruin an otherwise pretty good year so far : )

later chaps gotta get the kids in motion and go see if the school is open today : )

Hahahaha!!

I look at mountains - I don't "do" them. My Dad walked me half way up Snowdon once (well we did that a few times) and there's a steep bit. He looked at it, looked at me, back at the steep bit, and turned around and came back down! I might be able to get up hill, but I can't come back down - part of the phobia of falling bit...

I know the part of the mountains you're by Bubblegum, and it does get really deep there! I used to want my Dad to take me, but he said you can only get there by walking, so we never did go. My older two have walked across the tops, but in the summer, with the previous Scout Leaders.

I'm so glad you you had a good time at Christmas and New Year.

Well done with the pheasants. Something I won't be trying!

Hi bubblegum

Happy New Year to you and yours!

Glad to read that you made it back safe and sound from your trek in the himalayas, it would be a shame to lose you. Your post didn;t sound as upbeat as usual, hope all's ok? :)

Nope, I'm OK : )

Apart from feeling like I put on about three stone over the Christmas week, apart from that everything is good : )

thanx for asking.

AND! I just ate a hot cross bun and I'm pretty sure it made me put on about another half a stone, I was going to go and look in the mirror just to confirm my fears but it would probably just reduce me to tears.

Hi Bubblegum

Happy New year to you. Well done on the trekking and even more so on the pheasants. If I ever went in the Big Brother house (hardly likely! ) then that would be one of my worst challenges, to prepare a meal from original animal state.

How is the weather now? Are you able to get out and about Ok?

Hi bubblegum
Good to see you back on here. I have missed your witty posts and links. Hope you are seeing in the new year with plenty of cheer and not worrying too much about the weight issue. I have seen hundreds of new dance aerobic dvds advertised on tv recently so you could always try one of those out - is that your thing or not?!
Cheers C-L
