Hello Pia

First of all welcome to One Space. Congratulations on your pregnancy. How are you feeling healthwise? I am sorry to hear that you feel depressed about your break up. We have single parents here from all over the country, and a few from other countries too and we support each other along the way, as you will see if you read some of the threads.

Hopefully it will help you to chat to others on here. We recently had a Mum posting from Huntingdon, here's the link, below. You will also see on there that I mention a resource for Cambridgeshire parents, so you can look at that page as well http://www.onespace.org.uk/your-talk/forums/anybody-local-huntingdoncambs

As for meeting up with local Mums, one of the things you might like to try is the National Childbirth Trust. This will include partnered and non-partnered parents and in the time around the birth, all of you will have so much in common about the births, babies and new routines that you might find it really helpful. http://www.nctpregnancyandbabycare.com/in-your-area Also there is NetMums for once the baby is here, again for all parents but you will find that it is mainly other Mums going along. See http://www.netmums.com/boards/Local_Meet_a_Mum.408/

I have also located a twice-weekly drop-in which might give you the opportunity to meet other parents, some of whom will be on their own:

Finally there will be a lot of services at your local Children's Centre, which caters for familes with under 5s. Find yours here:

http://childrenscentresfinder.direct.gov.uk/townchildrenscentre/Cambridge/Cambridgeshire/?d=1&searchstringrefine=Cambridge%2C+England%2C+UK&pagetype=townchildrenscentre

I feel like I have given you a lot of information there, Pia, there is plenty for you to think about. What support do you have around you in terms of family and friends? Do keep posting!
