Women who had children/adopted later in life

Hi

I am a journalism student looking to write an article exploring into why so many women are having children or adopting later in life and why. My aunt who is 46 has just a adopted a 6-year old girl within the UK and has never been happier and I wanted to know if anyone has had a similar story that they would like to share with me and why they have chosen to do so e.g. financial etc.
