Hi Mums & Dads

I'm looking for single parent families (or family) to partake in a house share....

I'm a Single mother; I have one child whom is now 3 years of age. Before I had my baby I was able to secure a tenancy through my local council and have been living at the same property for almost 4 years.
Two of the major problems I faced within the last 4 years have been emotional and financial. After some extensive research I have come to see that these are common difficulties experienced by a lot of single parents whom lack support, saying that I have had a lot of financial support from my local authorities and for that I am eternally grateful.

Although there is organisations, charities and of course the government there to fall back on, in the case of difficult circumstances, there isn’t always a clear way out and because of this we sometimes settle for a less than a satisfactory lifestyles. This is something we see happen all the time.

I am studying accountant and I hope to qualify for employment in June. I have made several attempts to move to a new home, unfortunately there is a shortage of affordable two bedroom properties and due to housing policies and agency terms it’s been almost impossible to find anything suitable for me and my child.

I'm not so sure its "unfortunate" now though as this idea of shared housing seems unfloored , I believe that by combining resources we single parents can miraculously improve our lives and that of our children.

I'm rambling on a bit now but I'm really optimistic about the whole concept of this alternative family and just imaging all the benefits has made me so determined to make it happen, I have already experience shared accommodation as a teen and the time spent, houses some of my happiest memories.

SO..

I'm looking for one or more single parent family to form a household, preferably in London as its literally the city of opportunities if not London then the second city

is anyone interested?

Hi CleosWorld and welcome to One Space.

My daughter is a bit older now, but I always wished I had the guts to do this, good on you! Save money on bills, childcare and have someone to hang out with after 7pm - great!

Have you seen this webpage for single parents looking for houseshares in London (click) or SPACE?

Let us know how you get on Smile

Great! Look forward to hearing from you!

Old but interesting article here.

Have you checked your tenancy, that you are allowed to sub-let?
