Hi there,

Can't believe its september already!!

It was a busy weekend for us. My parents brought the girls back for me on Friday. They stayed the weekend and my dad renewed the shed roof, sorted out the over flow pipe on the water tank which was constantly dribbling water onto the patio and helped me take loads of stuff from the garage to the dump, and my mum ironed and sewed lables on to new school clothes. Such a massive help from them both, I was so gratefullSmile.

Youngest is starting school tomorrow. I feel quite nervous for her....she seems fine!

I'll have a look at the survey Anna.

Hi All, i'm back Smile

Unfortuntely the weather was not so favourable during my time off so i didn't get to do as much as i wanted, i was also unwell for a good chunk of it which did not help either, the kids have been great, i sat giving instructions whilst they did the work Innocent

Back to school tomorrow, i think they are glad to be going back!

Sorry to have missed so many of your birthdays, glad to hear that you all enjoyed them!

Ohh that was great of your parents PQ what a help! i think we usually are more nervous about them starting new schools etc than they are, well i am anyway.

Hi sally, sorry you weren't well during your holiday, so annoying!! Hope you managed to enjoy what you did do?

Yes it was great of my parents, my dad did make me smile though.....I put a post on facebook to say how thankful I was and my dad's reply was 'don't let the jobs build up in future'....typical dad, can't resist telling me off!!! lol!!!

You know how nervous he was PQ but very quickly it was great !! I so hope with your daughter it will be the same, fingers crossed..

Sally how lovely to see you again it seems like ages ago you were on here. What a pity you were so unwell during your holidays, it sounds the kids were helping you out, so great to have such good kids, are you all better now ?

Morning Smile

It's good to be back, i'm doing good now thanks, still abit fatigued but hopefully that will pass soon enough.  I am lucky my lot have been such help, thankfully they are now older and quite independent and able to do stuff for themselves, probably would have been a different story if they were still little.

Glad your son had such a great start to his new school skyflower, sounds like your going to be busy with all those online courses.

Pq, I just googled Insanity exercise class, ha ha ha ha! Are you mad!! It said somewhere that you burn 1000 cals in 45 mins!! The video I watched was hilarious, rather than the perfect women in their perfect outfits doing all the moves perfectly, it was a bunch of women, a few who were obviously struggling in regular clothing! (I hope you don't read this before you go) Look forward to hearing all about it Cool

Hi Skyflower, I hope you are well? Looking forward to the weekend? Fancy an Insanity workout?!

The weather here is lovely.  Rather warm.  I've just had my second shower today!  Two of us did a taster session for Scouts in one of the local schools.  Trying to get enthusiastic about restarting Scouts.

Strangely enough after the initial upset, I haven't really missed it.

Working tomorrow morning, which I'm not too happy about...  Things I need to do though before having some time off.

I hope everyone's youngsters have been happy in their new school years.  My youngest is really happy, having changed some sets and having teachers he likes.

Hi there, well I didn't go to 'Insanity' in the end as my neighbour was tired after work, having read your post Anna I'm kinda glad I didn't. I still haven't looked at the youtube video yet but I definitely will before I think about going again.

We had tears at home last night from both girls, tired I think and maybe a bit hormonal. Hopefully they will have had a betted day today.

Of course it was your laptop sparkling....we wouldn't think anything else...Wink

Syflower I'm much more comfortable with running. I've been given an invitation to attend my local running clubs open evening next week so I'll pop down there and see what they've got to offer.

It is quite a shock to the system after such a long break and then new teachers, classrooms etc.

sparklinglime, your evening sounds lovely, as the day has gone on here, the weather has brightened. I really fancy chucking my tent in the boot of the car and driving over to Wales, although I have heard that it is not that easy to get into whilst the NATO summit is on!

Skyflower, I hope your day was as gentle as it sounded. Dogwalking and shopping Smile I am intrigued to read that you are doing a Drawing course online, do you have to scan in your drawings to be appraised or send photos? Sorry to hear that it is boring though, will you continue it?

Hi all, how has everyone been? Well I hope, hope everyone's little (and not so little anymore?) ones had a good start of term? :)

I've been busy again this week, as usual (why cna't my life just settle down?? Oh right, I'll get bored hehe) Last Friday I babysat for a friend while she had her work's do and her husband was working a night shift, then Saturday went for a drive to the New Forest with the rents and my sister, Sunday was my niece's 2nd birthday so went to see her, Monday Sprog has nursery now, and I had my last session of CBT hooray :D hehe Tuesday I had to do a SPIP, Wednesday I spoke to a solicitor, yesterday I was doing a bit of housework, and today is my birthday :D I'm 25 wooo lol xD tomorrow I'm having a "party", will be very laid back and family friendly :)

I got rather irate Monday though, trying to sort out Sprog's contact with her dad, as he's meant to see her on Tuesdays, but I had to do the SPIP, which was on 10-2, so dad said he'll look after Sprog (lots of logistical kafuffle there), but then Sprog's dad said his parents were able to pick her up for the day instead, which I said I'd need them to pick her up by 9, he said 8.30, so I spoke to his mum, she said they're not free til 12!!?! So then had to revert back to the original plan meaning I said dragging her all the way to Southall to see her for 4-6 (rush hour and busy trains!!) was too much for her, so give this week a miss, naturally he threw a tantrum and said it's my fault we're going to court x_X

And breathe..... I've done a lot this week :(

The solicitor also said that for me to move away, I need to ask permission (oh poo), and that within the next year or so, the court will be trying to lengthen the amount of contact she has with her dad, including sleepovers :( I'm dreading it, I don't care if it gives me more "free time" :(

Anywho..... it's my birthday, not letting some silly little boy drag me down! xXx

No Anna, they see nothing of your work, I had no idea what to expect when I started it.....it is all theory, of how to catch and produce angles of light and shadows and shapes, and dimensions on paper how to create 3d within your drawing, how to use colours to create illusion or how you can catch the eye of the viewer and make it travel and go out again, by empty and full spaces, I just want to draw what I see and not all this theory and then you get all sorts of questions about it, which you have to answer and you are expected to experiment for yourself then.

Happy Birthday Clever Mummy!!!!!  Kiss

Have you got any plans for today ? Are you going to treat yourself a bit ? Will you see some friends? did you put any balloons up ?

and so sorry you can't move away yet, but maybe in future you could, when everything is not so unstable and volatile and there is some sort of a routine in place ? I will keep my fingers crossed for you as it is so awful to have to go through court again...

So proud of you that you finsished CBT, that is such a step forward, good for you !!

Glad your children are so happy Sparkling and that you finally have a working kitchen, you had to wait so long, has it become easier to cook now ? I had to really get used to the new oven and still haven't used the top one,

Hope you have a lovely time Louise we will miss you though it is great to have Anna, Sally or Sergiozed,

Do watch the utube PQ you won't regret it ! Wink

Morning all and a happy birthday to clevermummy for yesterday xx

Took H to her diving this morning, she had only been there 20mins and she sprained her ankle on the diving bored so she's sitting on the sofa with her leg up and an ice pack. I'm hoping its nothing serious!

I made a curry from scratch last night, it was so yummy, I'm so proud of myself Smile. I've always thought it was very complicated but it was actually quite straight forward once I had all the right spices. I'll definitely be making it again, even the girls liked it!

The girls have calmed down after their tears earlier in the week. They're both very tired so I think we'll take it easy this weekend.

Xfactor tonight......

I have an old friend popping over as she is in this neck of the woods. She made me laugh, saying that she is going to call me so I can help her up my outdoor steps with her buggy (she is an older mum and has a 2 year old) I was only laughing because I had to do this for many many years on my own. It just makes you realise how much easier it is with two adults around, or how resilient you become doing it on your own! Smile

Hello I am back from my little break, I have been over hill and dale, met up with an old friend and seen some stunning scenery on my travels, feel very refreshed. Catching up on what I have missed...

CM happy birthday! Liked your photos on the other thread.

Sally so sorry you have been poorly, and welcome back, and glad P had a good birthday.

Sparkling you have a mini-break coming up, where are you going?

PQ it sounds as if H is finding it hard to settle, see how she goes on and if needed then you can have a chat with her Head of Year, many young people find the transition quite rocky.

Skyflower, I missed your birthday too, glad you had a good one and hurray that you feel better after your bug.

Hazeleyes, yes, we miss you!!

Anna, glad you have been enjoying the lovely weather, I currently look like a tomato on legs and my nose is peeling.

What's everyone up to this weekend? My son is doing bar training at the moment, ready for his winter job...he goes at the end of November. I have loads of work to catch up on so am glad of a bit of time to do it. Tomorrow I am on creche duty and then my swimming club restarts.
