ConorResearcher

Hello all,

I am a Master's student at the London School of Economics and I am currently working on a project exploring the opinions of single parents living in privately rented accommodation.

As a group, single parent families in the private rented sector are often overlooked and as such, my research aims to highlight how the sector works or fails to work for single parent families. In particular, I would be very interested to hear the opinions of parents in or around London who are working (full- or part-time) and in receipt of Housing Benefit, preferably with children of school-going age.

I want to learn more about how single parents feel about a variety of issues regarding housing and so an interview, taking between half an hour to an hour, would be ideal. This would be conducted over the phone or via Skype at a time and date of your choosing. All responses will be kept entirely confidential and will hopefully contribute to a better understanding of how housing serves single parents in 2012. As such, your participation would be very much appreciated.

To register your interest or to ask any questions, feel free to contact me at darcyc@lse.ac.uk.

Many thanks,
Conor D'Arcy

Hello there

The proposed benefit "caps" are likely to affect single parents in and around London when they are brought in next year.
