Morning, feeling much better now so it must have been the flu jab.
However not having a good week with the girls. They've been really grumpy with each other and with me, as the days have gone on its begining to get me down......and to top it all my ex has been whinging to his mum about having to collect the girls from her house on xmas day, so last night she rang me and told me she wanted to change our arrangements and have xmas at my house....to say I was furious would be an understatement

Anna, wouldn't it be lovely to be whisked off like that. The warmth of the sun is soooooo appealing. Especially as its freezing (literally) outside.

Hello sparkling, hope it wasn't too icy. It took me about 15 mins to get the car fit to drive this morning. Yes I know you have really made a friend of the new lady, and the laughter will do you the power of good.
I will let you all go off into the sunshine for your hols and I will stay here glad that it is cold. In a minority of one, I know, but I finally reinstated my SUMMER quilt again last night after only having a cotton throw on before. Mind you, I have met a chap at church who is newly retired and his medication gives him hot flushes so he said to me the other night he only has a summer quilt on AND the window open at night. His wife's expression was very anguished while he told me 
Thanks louise, I text my Mil last night saing how angry I was, she's now got back to me saying she will keep to the original arrangements as she could see that it wasn't fair on me....I don't know whether I'm coming or going....Next year I shall hibernate for christmas...or go to the carribean

A Summer quilt Louise? Wow, you should see how I go to bed. Thick PJ's/nightie, water bottle, plus duvet of course, that being the winter one! Since I started back on the HRT tablets, I've been fine. I was more concerned over mood swings really, but the hot flushes were unbearable too. Are you on anything? I know women at school that are 'riding' theirs out.
Bit later with things tonight. Friend asked me to bring her son back to mine, as she had dentist (must be the week for teeth problems) It was great for C though, as I'm sure he misses having him here on a regular basis, like it used to be. Tomorrow there is a disco at school. Starts at 6 and finishes at 8pm. C has his ticket (wasn't sure he would actually want to go) So, home from school, dinner, get him ready, then back out. Me walk back home, then hour later, return to pick him up. If nothing, it'll keep me fit!!!! One tired lady tomorrow then, noooooooo
At least its Friday... you should stay and have a bop. I used to love embarrasing my lot when they went to the school disco. I used to know all the dances
Ha!!! Four (4!!!!!) birthday cakes! Plus one or two to come tomorrow! 3 lots of flowers! Lots of cards!

Hazeleyes, any chance of staying at the school to help tonight? how is your toothache? Actually I don't get many hot flushes as such any more, just a general "heat" It starts about 7pm and lasts most of the night. The worst is when I go to someone's house for the evening or to a counselling meeting and they have the heating blasting out. I keep a handy fan in my handbag

Oooooooo its so cold, -2 here this morning.
I am feeling much better today, had a big chat with the girls last night, lets see how we get on now. Also played draghts with them both too which was good fun.

The best thing about work is my colleague. It took ages for me to convince the boss to employ her, and she honestly makes it all bearable.
The panto was King Arthur and it was really good. Really chuffed that most of the Scouts came along too, and one of the Mum's stayed which was nice for me (she was in school with me).
Tomorrow night they're going around with buckets at the switching on of the town lights, collecting for the Round Table. I've not been to that since my lot were tiny. I'm going there early to get a parking space where I can hear the carols.
So... of to another day at the madhouse. I'm planning on not going in tomorrow, but going in on Monday instead when the new girl is due to start. Curious as to whether she does actually start...
There's a thick frost here. So if the path is white, I will be going in late!!
