Here.

I must admit I frequently do point one : )

AND! I've thought about it but it must be natural, at least in my daughter anyway, to enjoy and search for feelings where you mind is put into a different state, I've watched here spinning herself around in circles to get giddy and then fall about, laughing and enjoying the sensation, I've thought I bet she tries 'mind altering substances' when she gets older, if she's anything like me anyway, and I suspect she is what with her being my daughters and living exclusively with me. I used to do that when I was a kid, till I felt sick.

AND! Just to make me feel better in a sort of justify my actions and feel all good about myself kind of way, pretensions moi? here is this, infallible proof that everything I suspected is true. AND! ....It's by scientists so it must be true.

....but has it been reported in the Daily Mail? Laughing

Reading the list of 20 things, I can imagine you relating to the one where a boy tells you he really likes your daughter, as well!

I've already told her she's not allowed boyfriends, unless they are very rich doctors, She'll probably end up with someone in a band with a leather jacket and a motorbike though : )

Lost in France

My 14 year old son made a Victoria sandwich sponge this week and put 'LUL DAD' on the top in marzipan. Made me feel bigger on the inside than I am on the outside.

Wanted to put a photo of it on my Facebook page, but best not.

Hi Lost in France, I can't wait till my kids can cook on their own... unattended that is and after I've gotten through to them that cleaning up after is an important part of the process. That'll be one less thing to do : )

They make sandwiches but haven't quite got the cutting cucumber and tomatoes or anything actually.. very thin yet, they come out of the kitchen with massive sandwiches about three inches thick, at which point I send them back in the kitchen as there is a no food out of the kitchen rule in our house... and yet strangely enough I always find cutlery and yoghurt pots and apple cores and banana skins in their bedrooms behind furniture and under stuff and if I tip my sons keyboard upside down and shake it a torrent of crumbs fall out.

The buggers.

Here is a picture of my daughter in all her confidence, it makes me laugh, she made a mask with I love me on it : )

Love the mask Smile

Yep, the fun bit is the cooking, then they 'clean up'. And then I clean up! But they're getting there, which is the main thing.

Here's a pic of the cake (hopefully it'll work). Sorry, all gone now.

mmmmmm cake, I can't see the picture either, but I love cake, my sister is at the moment into baking after having seen some program on TV for middle class housewives.. today she is doing profiteroles : ) last week we had chocolate brownies with pistachios in them and not just any old chocolate, it was some expensive brand and they were lovely.

Not sure why the photo won't show, so I guess you'll have to use your imaginations!

I know the programme you mean Bubblegum. I had to record it for my son. He watches the bakery stuff and I watch Jamie's 30 minute meals or Nigel Slater. We're a top team on a fast track learning curve Smile

PLEASE PUT YOUR PICTURE IN OUR FAMILY QUILT! You can click on the link here or you can find it in Your Life>Family Quilt!

We really want to see your pics. Did anyone see 'Toast' - Nigel Slater's childhood portrayed in a TV one off?? I thought it was great!

Hi Anna,

I've added a patch.

I saw the last part of Toast and enjoyed it. Loved the simmering competition between him and his step mum.
