hi terry - someone will be along i am sure who has the right information but there are sections on here about money and being recently separated - are you claiming tax credits and child benefit as a start? i just went through the information and made a start about what claims i was entitled to make - i am working so able to claim tax credits. are you working?

hiya terry

if your ex wife is working then all you have to do is call csa and they will take care of it and remove the amount from her wages and place into your bank account. watch out though because i done that and my ex gave up work!!. no work no money.

Hi terry. Welcome along to One Space. If you have sole care of your daughter then you're entitled to the child benefit. Do you get child tax credit? Are you working at the moment?

Hello Terry and welcome Smile

I am presuming you are in receipt of child benefit and therefore child tax credit for your daughter, as you have the main day to day care?

You can go through the Child Support Agency (click the link) to obtain some support from your daughter's mother. If she is not working then this will be only £5 per week but if she is, then you will receive 15% of her salary, provided she has no other children to provide for and also provided she does not spend more than two nights a week with her mum, when the amount would be reduced.

Does your daughter see her mother at all?
