ClareT

Hi, I've just come across this site looks good so far, I've signed up for the confident parenting course. I'm a single mum to a wonderful nearly 4 year old who is amazing. I just feel so alone most of my friends aren't mummys so they are always out doing things, I don't get invited as I have my daughter. I feel like people are always judging me for being on my own even the other parents at nursery, I try make effort to say hi to try make friends but I get ignored.mayb I'm just being paranoid. I've even looked through these kinda sites to meet more mummy friends but nothing. N I'm constantly worrying about being a good mum. Hopefully this course will help.

Hi ClareT,

Very welcome on this site. Here everyone is very supportive but we are not supposed to share details and meet. Some write every day and others irregularly. Soon you will get to know a lot of people and everyone is very nice.

You can ask any kind of question you are unsure about and we all help. The parenting course is really good I find, as you can easily recognise what you are doing right and give you ideas where you can improve. Hopefully you get to know a lot of people soon Smile

Hello ClaireT and Welcome along to One space Smile

Sorry to hear your feeling so alone, sadly it is something that i hear alot from parents from all sorts of backgrounds.

You can take a look at this article (click for link) it has some really good ideas about how to go about meeting new friends, it also has some suggestions on how to deal with the type of situation you have mentioned in your post about being ignored.

Welldone you for doing the parenting course, I think i need to tell you that it is only the BEST mums that worry about being a good mum, the course will re enforce that as you go along.

Do you have any support from family? what about your childs dad does he have any contact? Do you have a boy or a girl?

Sorry for all the questions, just trying to find out more about you and your situation, you can ignore anything you don't want to answer.
