Not trying to be stereotypical.... but I am a woman and with that comes my issues with weight!!!

Dilema - going on family holiday in September with my mum and two sisters, and all our kids, problem is me and my sisters all look alike, two of us even get mistaken for twins - except one of them is size 8, the other size 10 (b**ches lol) and in comes me the fat sister almost bursting out of size 16!

Ok so been with boyf over five years and was a size 10 when we met but you know how it is you get comfy and all that.... so now im huge. He doesnt care he is happy however I am and I didnt care (well secretly I did) until my sisters were talking about us hanging out on the beach... Beach = Bikini = two lovely toned sisters + the 'fat one' HELP lol

My problem has never been food before I usually only ever put on weight because of my addiction to fizzy drinks, in particular coca cola. But in the past 6 months I have been put on new anti depressents and I have gained the biggest appetite ever! Its ridiculous how greedy I am at the moment.

So any tips for some relatively speedy weight loss and ideas for suppressing appetite? I eat loads of fruit by the way but my body seems to crave carbs?!

Well I am not one to advise on weight since you would be the thin one if you stood next to me but the two things that have worked for me in the past are extra exercise and Slimming World, as you can choose between red and green days on that one and the green one involves unlimited amounts of jacket potatoes, pasta and rice! not bread though Frown In fact I am on it myself at the moment and feeling better already. Weight watchers seems to be popular too. It is about finding something where you don't feel deprived and you can stick to it long term. Here endeth the lesson that I should learn myself!

Thanks Louise, I am quite tempted by weight watchers actually. It wouldnt be so bad if it wasnt so obvious that me and my sisters are sisters lol and I wouldnt mind but both of them live on chocolate and cream cakes etc (which I dont even like) they are just jammy and can eat what they want.

Turn to a vegan diet, it worked wonders for me, no dairy and no animals or their by products. Laughing

I was thinking about this thread last night. You know however much we can envisage ourselves to be a size 8 or size 10 again, its not going to happen. So we have to learn to love the body we live in.

Accept ourselves.

If we want to be slimmer - we should eat more healthily.

If we want to be more toned - we need to go to the gym

But we don't do these things, do we, we just want to have what the media portray as the 'perfect' body and then get depressed about it.

Look in the mirror and say I love my body, it is my vessel. The more we love our bodies the more likely we are to look after them. The more we criticise our body shape the more likely we are to eat poorly and feel blue.

Buy an all in one swimsuit and a sarong and stuff everyone else Smile
