As an antidote to our Crazy crushes ad, I thought it would be nice to chat about what celebrities get on our nerves, and what adverts and programmes you can't stand.

Some of mine are: Johnathan Ross, James Nesbitt, Amanda Burton, Ricky Gervais, John McCririck, Katie Price, Paul McCartney, the Loose Women programme....and I have yet to meet anyone who likes the Go Compare man!

Not much then loiuse Wink.

I don't like Johny Vaughn, Jeremy Vine, the go compare man!

And don't get me started on Jeremy Kyle.....when I was off sick I had an experiment to see how long I could watch his programme before switching it off in disgust...it was always his rants that got me reaching for the off button!!

What has Ricky Gervais done to upset you louise??

Ricky Gervais is on my list, too. He's an arrogant, very full of himself, judgmental, patronising git (yes, I know a git is a pregnant camel and therefore this is not fair on camels, but hey). Oh, he's the same as Jeremy Kyle! Also Nickleodeon (if that's how you spell it) which my  children have discovered recently. Then there is Alan Hanson, Charlie Sheen, Girl band members in general....

I prefer the nice list, it makes me smile, this list makes me shudder! Brrrr!

Do you think thats really him or just his persona? Not sure myself (Ricky Gervais in case you can't read my mind Wink)

PQ it is indeed his "comedy" (I use the term very loosely) persona. About as funny as a...(oh dear I have had to delete various things there in the interests of decency and for anyone who might be eating their breakfast) but I feel sure that he is pretty much like that in real life.

Yes you're probably right. I did enjoy The Office and I quite liked extras too. Haven't seen an idiot abroad so not sure what thats like, but don't like the sound of it.

What have you done here, Louise?! I can't warm to Ricky Gervais either...I have a particular aversion to Jamie Oliver (esp. his livery lips) & perhaps best not to start on David Cameron. Or 'Lady' Thatcher Sealed

Someone who confuses me is Frankie Boyle, sometimes I find him incredibly funny, especially when he says something close to the bone and crinkles his nose up and gives a look as if to say 'Did I get away with that one' and other times I just find him way too raw.

What do you think?

Re Ricky Gervais, I think it's a mix. He's not on my list of people I'd like to meet.

I have to put up my hands and say I don't think I've ever seen Frankie Boyle! So no opinion there!

I find Louis Walsh terribly irritating - seeing that we're in x-factor season...

Torn, but he does seem to say certain things he looks uncomfortable... Possiably a clever chap and using the honesty that i wish some people would have saying what they think.... Totally inappropriate... Humour has and is keeping us going... /then there is laughing at someones expense, would be interesting to know what people whohave been 'subject' think and feel...

I must admit I have found some of frankie boyle's humour a bit cruel, I think he can be a bit mean about women, but I also find him funny sometimes too. I find it facinating that he can bring out such a variety of emotion in us.

A comedian who really makes me laugh at the moment is a welsh guy, I think his name is Rod Gullet..!!?? (may have got that completely wrong) he does a hilarious talk about buying a duvet, it had me crying tears of laughter for ages.

I think you mean Rod Gilbert? yes I like him too.

The new series of Monroe has started and there are so many trailers with the awful James Nesbit in....EURGH

Yes Gilbert, thats the one!

Why is it that when someone irritatas you you end up seeing them all the time?

I was watching Mock the week and they had the comedian from out numbered (sorry can't remember his name either!) and he was really getting on my nerves, always looking to the camera when he told a joke, all that was missing was a drum role Laughing

HAHA you mean Hugh Dennis, I like him but he is a bit cheesy.

I find some of Frankie Boyle's material goes too far, I like it that he is prepared to shock people and speak the unspeakable but when someone's disability becomes the subject of a joke, that sticks in my throat

Hmmm interesting, is that the character he is currently playing?

When I saw him in Jekyll and Hyde I thought he was fab!

I have to agree with Louise about Frankie Boyle I think that its sad that he has to pick on vulnerable people to get a laugh. He thinks hes the main man for being nasty but to me its big sham to stir up publicity. No matter what people may or may not think of Katie Price to say that about an innocent boy is just vile. Not even going there re rest of tramadol nights. Yeh us Scottish people are known for raw humour aka Billy Connelly etc however I find him hughly distastful & does nothing to promote comedy within real life situations. I like John Bishop & Michael McIntyre much better.

Sorry Anna not sooking up to Louise but James Nesbit dont float my boat either. I usually like an Irish accent but not my taste. Can take or leave Russell Howard.

I think I am just unreasonably prejudiced against J Nesbitt! Glad he was so good in Jekyll and Hyde. I am willing to be pleasantly surprised by him in the future Smile

Another gripe....that sound "Mercy" by Duffy, when the backing group sing "yeahhh yeahhhh yeahhhh" at the beginning, EURGH, sets my teeth on edge
