Hello parents!

My name is Georgina Mallett and I'm a freelance documentary photographer studying for a degree in documentary photography at University College Falmouth. I'm currently working on the topic of 'Single Parents,' photographing young locals within my home town. This topic is of real importance to me, as I feel it is badly portrayed by the media, even when producing a documentary. I feel many young single parents have worked hard in looking after their child and have infact turned their life around. In cases I've photographed and know personally, having a child has made them an entirely new responsible person. Single parents are lacking in support and suffering from a negative stereotype. This is why I am focusing my project on this topic.
I would like to get in contact with any single parents out there who are wanting to tell their story, and wouldn't mind me spending a day with them and photographing them for my project. It is only for university and so it wouldn't be published at the moment, but i still would like real people, with real stories. If you would rather see the type of work I produce first I have a website, www.georgina-mallett.co.uk. Any response or help would be greatly appreciated.
You can contact me at either email address below or my mobile number below also.
Thankyou
Georgina Mallett

come on, I know they are parents, mothers or fathers out there that have overcome a lot, wether that be a changed person in yourself or proudly holding down the title of working single mother! Be proud and let me share your story to others.
