What a night!!

Little Angel was playing happily with her friend until she suddenly came in and said "mummy I dont feel too well" So I sent her friend home and put her on the sofa. I couldnt find my thermometer but she kept telling me she was hot and she did feel hot to touch. After a while she said "mummy my head feels funny I feel dizzy like I am going to fall asleep and my heart keeps beating fast" Quite concerned I called NHS direct. By this point little angel looked quite pale and sleepy. NHS direct told me to take her straight to the children's hospital. I called my mum in a panic and she agreed to meet me there.

As little angel said she felt too weak to walk I carried her the two flights of stairs down from our flat and to the car (bearing in mind she is almost the same size as me). When we arrived at the hospital I again carried her all the way to the a&e and when I arrived at the desk I was dripping with sweat and on the verge of an asthma attack. Little angel now looked as though she was about to go unconscious. The nurses kindly got little angel a wheelchair and I wheeled her in to the waiting area.

Once in there little angel spotted a friend from her dance group and - unbelieveably - got up from the wheelchair and went over to play with her. By the time my mum arrived, white as a sheet and in a panic, I was sat in the corner puffing on my asthma inhaler and little angel was rehearsing her latest dance routine with her friend!!!! You couldnt make it up - she had never looked so healthy in all her life!

To make it worse the nurses insist I wait in a&e for 2 hours to get her checked by the doctor and by the time she went in to see the doctor she had given two flawless performances of her dance routine to all in the waiting room, I was so embarrassed. Of course doc said she was fine.

When we left the hospital I asked her what happened to her feeling ill and all she said was "I dont know but I think it will make me feel better if I stay at Nannas tonight" Hmmmm think I may have to stop calling her little angel...

Oh my goodness littleangel. I was going a little bit shivery when I started reading your post, thinking What on earth could have been wrong with your daughter. By the end of the post, I am laughing my head off, thinking, That little monkey!!!

You must have been worried sick, and then she gets up to dance hehe. So, was the plan to sleep at her Nannas do you think? I'm so glad she is okay though, and was only pulling a fast one. I'm sure today there will be a long conversation about how serious all that was for you, especially having to carry her, and you ending up breathless etc.

Yes, little angel can clearly now be called little monkey!

Its hard to say if she completely pulled a fast one as she DID actually look very poorly for a while. I doubt it was so she could stay at Nannas as she wouldnt have guessed nanna would come. I think her idea of going Nannas afterwards was so she could avoid my questioning.

Sparkling, she did go Nannas in the end - Nanna insisted after she raced to a&e in a taxi she felt she should take something out of it, I was very happy for her to go with nanna after all that lol

Aww they are funny aren't they. It sounds as though she really wasn't feeling well though, I wonder if her friend had said something she didn't like and it made her feel horrible which in turn made her feel ill? Then on seeing her dancing friend, that previous thought was gone?

I hope you had a nice child free evening Smile
