Liquid-Xi

Hey all,

Dunno if this is the right forum, so please, if it's not feel free to move it.

My children have been living with me full time since the ex up and left.  We agreed the children should live with me but there is nothing in writing about this.

I was given some advice a few days ago that made me think maybe i should look at securing this arrangement.  Then a few days ago, my son came back from one of his few and far between access visits with his mother and happened to mention thay they were moving from a flat into a 3 bedroom house.  Now as it's only her and him, it makes me wonder why the sudden urge for a 3 bedroom house.....

How do i go about securing this arrangement?

Hi Liquid. Welcome along. I was just wondering if you received the Child Benefit for the children, which you should do as they are living with you. I'm afraid I can't answer your question about securing the arrangement, but have you spoken to a solicitor at all? We have legal expert here at One Space, click on the blue link, here  and give as much information as you can when you e.mail them. Good luck.

Hello Liquid-Xi

Hazeleyes has made a good suggestion, with getting the legal advice. Hopefully it is so the children will have a better place to stay when they visit....

Hi liquid-xi u need to see a soliciter and ask them to apply for a  residence order for you if you are on benifits this will be free.but you will need to prove the children are better  off with you.
