Hi ya :)

Cazzz80

Hi everyone, i found this place today when looking for advice.

I'm Caz, i have been raising 2 children 7 and 9 for the past 5 years alone.

Up until a few months ago i was working part time in a pub, but i have to quit as no one likes babysitting weekends until the early hours.

I don't get out much and spend the evenings twiddling my thumbs. I'm making up for that when my youngest is 18 and ordering a mid life crisis lol

So hi anyway :)

Hi Cazzz80, welcome to One Space Smile

I left a message for you this morning on the Introduce Yourself thread, before seeing this one. So glad you have joined us!

It is a shame you had to give up your job, due to babysitting, did you enjoy it? Although it must have been tiring, I imagine it was good to be out in the evening chatting with adults, even if they were inebriated!!

I wondered if you had enough room to get a lodger in, as then you would have an evening babysitter?

The evenings alone, when the house is quiet, is often the time that single parents find difficult. Do you tend to watch the telly, read or tidy up?

My daughter turns 18 in a couple of months! I have spent the last 16 years waiting for this moment, but I have to say that she actually needs me more than ever now! Even though I do what I want when she is out with friends, she still needs me to be around and gets quite envious if I go out and she is in. So maybe hold that thought until your youngest leaves home!!

I have to say though, as they get older, it is quite nice to have the company in the evenings when they don't go to bed so early!

Back to your evenings - if you could do anything what would that be?
