Kittypogs

Hi guys,

I'm new to this site. I came on for some CSA advice as myself & ex split 3 months ago and he did a runner back to Australia! Thought it may be nice to join here and meet new people... As a lone parents its not always easy to get out.

Hope you all have a good day :-)

Hi Kittypogs and welcome to One Space, although I am sorry to hear that you have recently become a single parent.

It isn't easy to get out and about and meet new people when you are sole carer for your children. Have you seen our article on Making New Friends, which might give you some ideas? How old are your children?

You may also be interested in reading our article Child maintenance if one parent is living abroad.

Do you have family living close by?

Hi Kittypogs

Good to 'see' you here.  It an be a great place for a bit of company and support.

That was thoughtful of him to go back to Australia!! I do hope you're ok.

Hi...

im pretty fortunate as I have an amazing family that live nearby and they help Me out lots....

i will take the time to look at those links, I am awaiting a response from jean the CSA specialist... but any info can help! Thanks

yes it wasn't the most thoughtful of things but the reality is he prob did me favours as if he was here he would make my life hell..

I just want h to take responsibility for his son and financially provide for him... Beer is the important thing on his agenda and because my family helps so much he seems to tthink he can relinquish responsibility... Bue can send me shitty emails calling me all the names under the sun! - does anybody know if I can prevent this?

Thanks x

You can ask him not to, and eventually he will get bored.  If he threatens you, he can be reported to the police.

Perhaps get a new email address?  Keep the one he knows just in case he does get to the point of being able to focus on child issues...

It's not easy.

It's great that you have such a supportive family around that can help out, i can totally uunderstand you wanting him to step up and be responsible though sadly thats not something that we can make people be they either are or their not.

I hope that Jean gets back to you soon about the CSA, sparkling has already gave you some suggestion regarding the email i'm not sure but i think that you maybe able to block his email address see this link
