Hi all :)

Morrigan
DoppleMe

Hi all.. new here as of today Smile I'm a 36yr old single mother to a 2yr old IVF miracle who is my world :) Husband left us last September one day out of the blue. Crushed me completely. I was made redundant 10/11 days after he left. He then moved in with his new girlfriend 2 streets away by Christmas and I've struggled with everything since. Not close to my family [still very close to Husband's, which is a problem in itself] and I don't often get chance to see friends as I have no dependable babysitter and they're all busy with their own families and jobs. After a lot of thought, I've just decided to return to full time education and get my Degree - the hours are suitable for my son and creche etc where I was struggling to find work that didn't involve really long hours, or early shifts, late shifts and so on.. so I'm retraining to become a teacher now. There is a lot more I could add here, but it really would become a novel! Hope to chat soon Xx

Hi Morrigan, nice  to meet you. I did my degree in education (finished last year) then decided I didn't want to teach....in a school anyway! Best of luck with that. These guys on here are lovely and very welcoming.

Hello Morrigan, you are very welcome here.

It's hard when you don't have the babysitters to hand but don't forget you can host an evening at your house, or have a look at this article for more idea about broadening your circle.

Well done for taking the momentous decision to get your degree, high five for that.

As you have gone into a lot more detail on the other thread, I have closed this thread for comments, and please see here to continue our conversations with you, Morrigan Smile
