Mel P

Hey everybody, i'm a new momma to baby girl O, she is two weeks old and unfortunately my HypnoBirthing plan completely went out the window and emergency cesaerian was to be instead...

It's been tough but worth it. My partner and I split whilst I was 7 months pregnant and it's been a hellish rollercoaster. I'm ashamed to say it was mostly my fault, and I have been going to therapy which has helped tremendously.

I'm also addicted to Deppak Chopra books at the mo, esp 'seven spiritual laws of success' and the 'spiritual path to love'.

I'm 35 and always thought I would be settled and happy by now, esp as it was with a man i've known for 10 years!!

Anyway, not meant to be.. I'm currently living in York, though will be moving back to Todmorden in a couple of months as that's where the dad is. Luckily I think he will be an amazing dad and provide childcare when I return back to work as an Agency Nurse 3 days aweek.

What i'm looking for are friends in similar circumstances. Male and Female. I do drive and very prepared to travel within reason...I want to improve my self esteem and have lots of fun with my daughter. I love, camping, hiking, anything outdoors really. Even a visit to Yorkshire sculpture park, really want to visit...Kiting in the park, feeding the ducks, cinema etc etc i'm up for positive and fun experiences..Anybody fancy it...None of my friends have kids so feel pretty isolated at mo. I want to change that and if anybody else wants to do the same then please contact me.

Mel X

Hi Mel,

I couldn't find much in the way of groups or activities on our site for York. Have you had a look on Gingerbread? They have quite a few groups around the country. Or have you tried this site? There some interesting groups coming and going here. http://www.meetup.com/

Or start a new group and put a link here on One Space!
